i definitely agree that they are in realistic terms no better than each other, but for now i’m giving them the benefit of the doubt with some aspects because they are still working with the old engine. however, as soon as they get the new engine they better make some big changes
@@prodbybigl The whole game is just a product of recycling. Especially the dlc. It seems like all their efforts are going into those shitty livestreams. No bug fixes, no rebalancing and no new ideas whatsoever
@@prodbybigl The phisics have felt floaty and imprecise since 4. Recently played the first 3 again, and my god the cars just feel so much better, and roads have imperfections. Its so much more engaging and immersive. And what happened to the night time lighting? in the first 3, it got super dark, in first person all you could see were where the headlights were and the dials. Now it just feels like a filter
I have said this previously but i say it again. The map has a lot of potential but developers has not taken the all out of it. All the main activities in the map has been focused in couple of areas. The rest of the map has just been left behind. There is a lot of unique places in the map but because there is nothing to do in those places no one is going to visit there. Shame really.
@@phookit2 canyon is my favourite part of the map. Tops out even the volcano. Takes several minutes to make a round around the canyon even in a supercar. Only thing we got there is like 2 races, jump and a showcase event which wasn't even that good.
I started forza with fh2 and played fh3 which were both really fun, but at fh4 and 5 it seems like they had a goal but didn't put as much soul into them
The one problem I have with a Forza fives weather, specifically talking about the sandstorms. When you go up to a sandstorm or close to it it looks really far away, but then when you go a little bit more forward, you are already in it, even though it looked like it was at least 100 feet away. Edit: I do understand that this is a very new thing for playground games, but when I saw that sand storms are going to be a Weather aspect of the game. I thought you would be able to drive right up to them and then go a little bit more forward and you’ll be in the storm not 100/ 50 feet away and then you’re in it when you drive forward.
In some ways yes, in some ways no. FH5's map feels really lifeless and dull compared to FH4, but the driving roads themselves are a bit more enjoyable. The physics and audio are also improved over FH4, but the car list feels repetitive and unchanged. If you recall, FH4 didn't really hit its stride until new features like the Seasonal Playlist were introduced and breathed new life into the game. I think we might see FH5 go through a similar phase change later on that helps it come into its own a little more. I have low expectations, but still feel like the series is progressing forward... very slowly.
The lack of gas stations restaurants grocery stores car washes airplanes in the skies etc on the map makes it feel empty on such a big map these things don't need to be usable but present to make it feel more alive
Not even that. Just an town would do. Its such a big map, and you've got one city, one proper town and that town in the bottom left this literally a couple of buildings on the corner. OH, and that town in the forest that's actually decent, but you can never find because there's literally nothing there. The houses are crap as well. The starting house was pretty cool, but the others are non descript and all have the same building style and era. In FH5 we have 3 pretty standard villas, a shack and ahotel. and they are all either put next to the city or festival or the ring road. Imagine how cool having a shack deep in the rainforest by a massive river or lake that you have to get to by using little tracks, like the huntsmans cottage in FH4
@@dylanburston7453 right and fh4 had the best cities and neighborhoods and parking lots to drift in etc and fh3 had gas stations atleast one I remember it would be nice to have all of that back plus the things we all want like why can't we change roll cage color and wheels separate colors simple things they find so hard to implement that would make a world of difference
@@jblane100 Custom exhausts and the a overhaul of map design physics and a much darker night time and itd be almost perfect. Oh and services on the highways would be great. The problem with the newer games is you jsut have too much freedom, they dont feel carefully crafted anymore.
I’ll tell you one think though I am so done with the festival Playlist every week, that’s it’s starting to feel like a chore… I’ve been bored of it mid horizon 4s life and I was unhappy when they brought it back in 5
Personally, I feel more attached to fh4 because not only was that my first horizon, but also since I live in the UK, it's more relatable than FH5 and I get a lot more of the references first-hand etc. Despite this, I feel FH5 is still better in most ways (which matter). This may vary the more I play online races tho 😂
yes I think Mexico City would have been better than Guanajuato because there are more modern buildings while in Guanajuato there is not much modern and it is less interesting for roleplay
Much of what I've seen in FH5 seems like it was a "Copy/Paste" situation. Even some of the cars still carry a UK license plate, instead of a Mexico plate.
I agree. The map needs more features and things to do- think of the fh3 construction site, shipwrecks, and wood farm. All these areas were great and provided playability but werent exactly specific or necessary locations for the game to work. They just added them and they became favourites for all fh3 players. We have 0 areas (excluding temples) like that in fh4 (and even then, only one of the temples has any real playability, and they are all VERY similar.)
Even now, I can't believe FH5 has released, but after 270 hours of experience, I really have the impression there is something missing, even in my 20th hour I had this impression.... WHAT IS IT !?
I keep going back to FH4. The atmosphere and use of color in that game is unmatched. Driving around during sunset while it transitions into nighttime always looks incredible, especially in winter. The seasons also gave it a lot more replayability than I intially expected. The only reason why I'm not playing it as much anymore is because it lacked proper customization in terms of aesthetics.
With the gamepass mentality, that's why FH5 was.... kinda underwhelming.. (From a first timer playing FH5, Festival Playlist was aight, turn to boredom a lot)
There's much improvement in the basic structure of the game, from Horizon 3 to 4 to 5. Physics modeling, graphics, animations, and such. Map size and diversity, and the car roster can vary in quantity and quality. What I see suffering is the removal of features that we actually kindof liked, like custom championships, or any real sense of progression, or anything passing for an overarching story or purpose. I think the playlist has largely backfired too; Forzathon in Horizon 3 was a great excuse to go back into the game at least once a week, and seasonal championships in Horizon 4 was a novel idea at first. Bundling them together in the playlist was... fine, I guess. But now it's more like "ugh, I gotta go back and do the playlist." They're littered with duplicate cars I already have, and the one new McGuffin most weeks. And once I'm done with that, and unlocked the McGuffin i don't feel like doing anything else. The game seems to be figuring out how to unlock the McGuffin with as little work as possible, plus the one or two other items that are actually fun.
The phisics have gotten alot worse. been playing 1 and 3 recently, and the cars react so much more convincingly, especially in terms of weight. In fh1, the OG mini felt ridiculously light. Now it feels identical to my 3000lb GTR
Forza 4 best horizon ever Edit: the main reason being the height variation made the map very fun to play games we made up; all playground areas, airfield, Edinburgh, windmill farm, and a few others I can't remember. Most of the time I spent in fh4 was messing around in the open world. The problem with fh5 is there isn't really an area that is as interesting as fh4. Edit2: also the menu in fh4 was way easier to get through
The FH4 menu was a total mess. Very difficult to navigate. Me who owns every main Horizon game there is the one being my favourite is which i return the most often. And that being FH2. The map feels much bigger what it really is 'cause you can't just cross country the whole map. You need to use roads and those very rarely are linear from point A to point B. Also the only game where my progress is over 100%.
@@kimreinikainen it may have been a mess but it made sense to me and the fh5 menu is too spread out for easy access to things like changing cars or seeing in game messages or even wheelspins
@@iambrd1543 If you think FH4 wasn't diverse just because it isnt a completely different colour, your blind. Fh4 had rolling hills bottom left, a huge forest bottom left, 2 massive lakes, mooreland in the middle and mountains left top and a great coast on the right, and then Edinburgh like a cherry on top. All had unique roads, all were changed drastically by the seasons, and all had great off road. FH5 had 2 coats, a empty desert, 2 arid grassland things and a rainforest. Oh and a mountain with 8 miles of road which has precisely 2 different corners on it for its duration. It had half the towns in it, and all the buildings feel fake
@@dylanburston7453 there were lakes in fh5 too, also canyon and mountain/forest terrain, roads are as varied as they can be (much longer highway, twisty roads in moutnains etc) and there's more verticality in map. and in fh4 the only season that changes something is winter, other seasons are just reskins of each other (much like seasons in fh5)
@@TDB-rm4qt Theres one pathetic lake (which has no water in half the time Woohoo, a bit more desert to drive in) The roads are all the same in FH5. The coas, the rainforest, the one above the volcano, all feel and drive the same. The one up the volcano only has 2 corners, left hairpins and right harpins for 8MILES, and it isnt even a thin road so it isnt engaging. There is one good driving road in FH5, and that's the one that goes on top of the lake.
@@dylanburston7453 and what's different in roads in fh4 then, why they are so "diverse" in comparison? also in volcano there are more than 2 types of corners, if you actually try to look at the map, you can see it. and anyways there aren't any road of this type in fh4 (except just one pathetic small dirt road)
We had a perfect racing game that included features we are still asking for to this day. Test Drive Unlimited 2. The 2 detailed maps, atmosphere, progression and some other things made that game very memorable and I hope TDU Solar Crown can capture that and Turn 10 take notes as well.
Forza horizon 4 was more fun than 5 to me. i dont know to to put it into words, but forza horizon 5 feels very generic. FH4 had better music, its map was significantly better than FH5. and the DLCs were fun too.

4:45 FH5 map is not 1.5 times larger than FH4 map. It is 1.5 times the size of FH4 map. So 50% increase in map size and NOT 150%. FH4 map being 71,46 km2 and FH5 map 107,19 km2 which is exactly 1.5 times the size of FH4 map.
The biggest problem in fh5 compared to fh4 is the way the ruined soo many car sounds which they got it right on fh4. E60m5, e92 m3, McLaren F1, hoonigannfiesta rally car, Honda's and a lot more. This was always a reason since I got fh5. The excitement died down and now I play it just to get the new cars mostly
The night in fh4 felt like real night but in fh5 looks like it is still day and also in fh4 there was snow in the whole map but in fh5 it only snows in the volcano
Even the night in 4 wasn't great. In first person in 12and 3 at night all you can see are whats in your headlights and the dials, and possibly the festival in the distance. Or 3 had surfers paradise and that awesome night sky. You couldnt see your own wingmirrors 4 and 5 feel like someone's put a thin blanket over the sun
@@TDB-rm4qt Why would i turn up the brightness? Its already too bright. Its not an issue with the brightness settings. I have all FH games on the same brightness settings on the same TV, and they all look the same during the day. FH4 is slightly too bright during the night, FH5 isnt dark enough at all
Its worth to mention the season system. In FH4 its brilliant where in FH5 it does not change much other than adds some snow onto peak on volcano in one season. Maybe map was smaller in FH4, but it was changing drastically each season.
i feel like FH5's biggest problem is the map. I love that they did work on the little things that people have talked about, car sounds, bodykits and other forms of customization, but its hard to enjoy it when you're in the desert. Mexico isnt a Minecraft seed.
I'm mexican, I'm biased, I love the 4 but the 5 makes me cry, it's sad that there is so much hate, it makes my skin crawl see everything so well represented it's beautiful I play on a logitech g920 so i love it and the graphics and everything, music could be better lol, famous Mexican car is the TSURITO
I cannot agree the games are even. Forza Horizon 5 is just a reskinned FH4. The credit has to go more towards FH4 as it did pretty much all of the stuff fh5 does and on a better map (FH5 map is soooo lifeless and bland)
Few reasons I’m preferring the FH4 over 5, first off being the Italian cars, second is that UK just gives a stronger sense of a “heritage” than Mexico, I also prefer the way they do the seasons than FH5. In the end, once the game moves on to the next gen, I could find myself still go back to FH4 once in a while, but maybe not as much as FH5
Now I’ve played 1000’s of hours on all Horizons, sim racing obsessed. I believe FH5 had sorted the vehicle sounds out etc & I love the car list and updates. But FH1 to FH4 had some soul. FH5 just feels a dead map with a cold feel. But I still love it a lot.
I feel like FH5 is missing some core features from FH4, like main menu is just straight up ripped from FH3 and the night-time is considerably fast. Plus the game lacks some bodykits for some cars.
I didn't bought FH5 because it was way expensive and after some time I realised I chose wisely not to buy a game that it's price doesn't represent the things that gamers receive from the game. And one thing that I hate about Forza Horizon generally speaking, is the lack of visual customisation. It's a 2021 game and you just can't exclude customisation variety especially in exhaust, bumpers, fenders, spoilers.
Fh5 map is bland and it’s crazy how we have a near identical car list to 4 but damn near all the cars don’t have spacer options… it starts with the little shit
For me FH4 is better because in FH5, I still have basically no traffic, and most of the races are repetative on the (mostly) same tracks over and over. 4 even looks better with lower graphics settings! Come on, PG!
i recently also went back to playing fh4 for a bit and man the nostalgia, also yes there is no where near as many bugs and glitches in fh4 then 5 the ui os overall way smoother and that's disappointing to see that they went backwards in that regard but the overall game itself i have to give it to fh5 as it's overall a better game because of the better graphics more realistic physics bigger map more cars and so on.
I liked more fh4, I liked to just get in the game and run around the scenery, I thought it was beautiful. The fh5 didn't attract me that much, I enter the game only to play the playlist.
i agree it think the "ratio" is a big thing, honestly i like the size of fh4 map more, since as u said, i feel like the size is just like taking a smaller map, and just streching it out, not adding more things, but just making the distance that you have to drive longer. personally i like fh4 more, but that might be becouse it was my first horizon game, and i really loved it.
4 was the best imo, the immersion, the map, the aesthetic, the car balance and models etc all better, especially better than FH5. Summed up as well. No one wanted the new horizon based in fucking Mexico. A country with nearly no racing or car heritage or significant contribution to car culture at all. The best thing FH5 did was the removal of free roam rush
Using a wheel, the physics are great especially for drifting. Everything else I feel is a letdown. The game wasn’t even finished when released. Even now some things feel broken. Forza weekly mission broken every month. I don’t care so much about finishing them as I know at some point when one of them won’t work. I’m not building myself up to 100% the festival playlist as most often you can’t. If it unreliable to play and finish missions, then what’s the point. See a car you like. Unlock it and forget the rest.
FH5 is still buggy. The game changes my settings every single time I reboot the game, often throwing me into a 20fps death crawl. I have a 6600xt and an 11400. Game should run smooth as silk.
I got fh4 a few days ago and I literally cant stop playing it lol, im loving every seconds of the game. I was hooked from the start when i was racing my first off road race and chose my favorite car of all time, the 037 and also when the race started, i started with Safari Song by Greta Van Fleet. Coming from someone who only played FH1 and skipped 2 and 3, FH4 is a HUGEEE improvement. Ill wait till FH5 gets close to delisting to play it
Hi, for me fh5 is too much oriented in non-conventionnal cars, that’s nice but too much, I prefer less supercars and prototype, and a bit more ordinary cars…. Why not some family saloon, hatchbacks and everyday racers. I prefer fh4, more realistic map for RP playing. All news models ( more electric) don’t make me dream in real life, that’s the same in fh5. Sorry I’m a petrolhead 😅 Nice work, hello from France 😊
I have rally felt someting is missing in FH5, which has made me almost stop playing; to me it's the lack of change (not new things, just changing things), it really is the same game structure entirely; also I feel like there's just too much of everything: map, cars, features, even customization - there's nothing to be hoping for, or anything frustrating - you just have everything all the time. So with all that, I would say FH4 is better over FH5, as mad as it sounds. Edit: FH4 also has a 'real' map, it makes sense in its construction and never goes to far (after all, UK hasn't got that much diversity, but it makes sense and isn't overwhelming)
i think it could just be some fatigue with the series. inevitably its gonna get harder to keep coming up with original content every few years and obtaining a roster of cars we havent seen before sounds expensive and time consuming. so perhaps smaller map size but every 6 months we get a new map in a different part of the world? that way you can have 6 months in japan with touge, japanese cars and culture. then maybe france or germany? maybe do somewhere like sweden/arctic circle? iceland with those crazy offroaders? this way the game feels entirely fresh every 6 months with new location specific quests and vehicles. one of the best dlc for me was the island in 4. obvs the drift road was ace but also the treasure chests to find and the feel of a different small island community. was the same vibes with blizzard mountain.. did a lot with a small space. with 5 i had been jumping on once a week to get the new cars. now i cant even be bothered to do that as i have enough money to buy anything i dont have. PG needs to win me back with something genuinely interesting for the next dlc, whatever an whenever that may be..
for me personally, at least for technical side, FH4 was better... In FH4 I've never encountered any visual issues, races worked as they were supposed to, and cutscenes worked,... in FH5 lots of cutscenes have wrong car animations, I have all the time graphical bugs with missing textures, and it also feels that the drivatars devolved instead of improving... in previous titles these drivatars felt like they were real drivers (mistakes, different lines, etc.) but now? drivatars are just glued to the "ideal" racing line, breaking precisely as the line dictates, and they rubberband like crazy... (for example, in higher difficulties, I will give my hand into the fire that the drivatars are programmed so that you can't get to the first place until 70% of the race has been finished...)
I've never played 4 but I just purchased this weekend while it was on sale. I'm close to finishing all the main items in 5 and I'm really just annoyed with the map/location. Mexico just isn't that great. It actually made me think of the new Crew game coming out and how it's set in Hawaii. Not good for weather variations.
Even thoug FH1 has by far the smallest map, its A to B journeys are the most fun and the longest. This is due to a couple of things. The traffic moves more than 2mph, so it actually feels like your in a conceivable world. The cars are much more engaging and actually feel different. An Og mini feels light, a merchi SV feels heavy. And the biggest one, one that's plagued the series since 3, the thing i like to call ring road designer map since 3 has 3 roads (that feel like 1 TBH) that go around the entirety of the map, and a central highway. So most journeys will take you round the same bit of the outside of the map, past one of 4 or 5 exits for the highway, and then onto the highway to another one of 4 or 5 exits
For me it is no brainer. FH4 wins all the time against FH5. In FH4 I loved the map and the architecture of "historic Britain", plus the changing seasons were great and that's why I played it a lot. FH5 I play only to collect new cars, nothing else, I don't like the map, it is kind of empty and not very interesting, plus the changing seasons seems to me the same. Plus the car physics was better in FH4, but even better in FH3.
Forza Horizon 4 has 4 seasons, Forza Horizon 5 just has weather effects in some biomes, so 4x is still bigger than 1.5x. If that doesn't count, Forza Horizon 4 also has LEGO Speed Champions and Fortune Island, both have totally different maps.
@@kevinchadwick9108 The more recent FH's aren't really about progression, at least not in the traditional sense of racing games. As the devs have said, it's about giving players a sandbox and the cars, then letting you race what you want, how you want. Although I will agree that for FH5 they really did give players too much, too soon.
Exactly we just get the same cars different years if you compare variety in different cars and manufacturers 4 kills 5 we just have alot of the same cars different years in 5 . 10 of the same car different paint jobs isnt 10 cars extreme e nor is a bizzilion 911s, mustangs ect variety
I don’t like how in horizon 5 we can’t change the difficulty in seasonal championships which is annoying because I want to be able to put the drivatars to a higher level but it only lets me put them in highly skilled which makes it to easy
I think it’s just empty. Hardly any trees, not many houses, and the devs are trying to make the game way too family friendly so it’s not really fun yo play anymore.
Michael Rosen reviews all Forza Horizon Games: FH1: I had to reach up.. To get to the cherry on top!! FH2: Peach Syrup... Tinned Peach Syrup!! FH3: Really Good FH4: It was.. Uhmm.. A bit rich, but, Okay. FH5: I don't think it's funny...
But yeah, FH5 is better in some ways, like with the new features, altered storytelling and some other small things, but FH4 slightly better overall in terms of it's map, car list and overall improvements from it's predecessor.
The radio is a mixed bag with both games. Pulse in horizon 4 was the best station. FH5's pulse felt like a massive downgrade. Whereas bass arena in horizon 4 was a massive letdown and i much more enjoyed bass arena in horizon 5. I come from the UK and i don't feel the music culture was really shown at all. For example, we don't listen to remixed indie music. House music is very big in the UK and there was barely any of it.
Fh4 was my first horizon game, I had played Motorsport since Motorsport 5 and I went back and played horizon 3 on my friends console but horizon 4s map and atmosphere is just top notch. Maybe I’m biased but I think this is the truth
There are many other big bugs that i hate like in the new RS7 window tint doesnt show up and also the Dodge Demon rear window. The Cadillac ATS is manual but in game the character shifts imaginary paddles. The Impreza with Varis kit doesnt shows backfire neither.
To start, the games are still fun to play. TBH, it's not so much FH4 vs FH5, it's what I'm missing from FH3: the head-to-head payouts, the ability to create championships, and the story of being a boss from the start. Bringing the first two into FH5 would be pretty cool. And having the boss story in FH{next) would be sweet as well. As an aside, I could go either way on the seasons (both in the UK and in Mexico) as they don't seem to really change the driving experience much. I also agree with Ericship's critique of the towns, especially compared to the variety of cities and towns in FH3 and FH4. Again, all 3 versions I've got (FH3, FH4, and FH5) are fun.
This is not the most in-depth analysis...perhaps later on I will make one with a proper list comparing the two.

ODESZA 😮💨
@@Gameplato A MOMMENT apart 😃
i definitely agree that they are in realistic terms no better than each other, but for now i’m giving them the benefit of the doubt with some aspects because they are still working with the old engine. however, as soon as they get the new engine they better make some big changes
Creativity is not engine related
@@falcongamer58 exactly. Devs with wayyy less funds made better quality experiences than what Turn10 churned out.
There is no reason why free roam is dead in FH 5, while highly populated in FH 4.
And the seasons too, the map never changes except a sandstorm in 1 area and a thunderstorm every once in a while
I started forza with fh2 and played fh3 which were both really fun, but at fh4 and 5 it seems like they had a goal but didn't put as much soul into them
Modern gaming 😬
I believe it’s ‘heritage’ that makes the difference
FH5 map should have more modern parts because theres almost none of it, only the stadium and the far west side of the map
yes I think Mexico City would have been better than Guanajuato because there are more modern buildings while in Guanajuato there is not much modern and it is less interesting for roleplay
Forza Horizon 4 was and is still an amazing game. I love it.
Even now, I can't believe FH5 has released, but after 270 hours of experience, I really have the impression there is something missing, even in my 20th hour I had this impression.... WHAT IS IT !?
Lots of the cars are missing for a start.
Soul
Forza 4 best horizon ever
Edit: the main reason being the height variation made the map very fun to play games we made up; all playground areas, airfield, Edinburgh, windmill farm, and a few others I can't remember.
FH4 felt better aesthetically, you could take beautiful diverse screenshots, however in FH5 all screenshots just kinda look the same
all of fh4 was grassland it was not diverse at all
@@iambrd1543 If you think FH4 wasn't diverse just because it isnt a completely different colour, your blind.
@@TDB-rm4qt Theres one pathetic lake (which has no water in half the time Woohoo, a bit more desert to drive in)
The roads are all the same in FH5.
Yes fh4 was soo amazing
Forza horizon 4 was more fun than 5 to me. i dont know to to put it into words, but forza horizon 5 feels very generic. FH4 had better music, its map was significantly better than FH5. and the DLCs were fun too.
The intro to fh4 is just AMAZING.
Fh5 slightly worse but I prefer the fh4 because actually much better experience than fh5 that already have
I think FH5 had quite a lot of bugs/problems when it came out 🤔. Cool once again Eric :)
Yeah it certainly did. Cheers Nathan!
@@ericship111 No problem 😄
FH4 didn't have online adventure races on release tho. FH4 was very buggy also
@@Sol-hd7pz At least it added a whole lot from the previous game.Fh5 took away seasons and half the cars, less interesting houses and worse roads overall for a bit of extra (empty) map
I don't know what I'd class as better but I'll always hop on fh4 first
The only thing better in fh5 are the graphics and cars 💀 fh4 was more joyful 😔
I feel like Forza need to update the night sky since it seems empty and bare
I genuinely haven’t played in ages because its so hard to get the millions and millions required for the new cars i want and when i do get them they handle the same as everything else once modified
I would be content with less cars, but a more interesting map. I only drive about 50 cars anyways.
4 is way better than 5, there is no doing about that
Last comment horizon 4 had my 3 favorite cars in real life , the mclaren 12c, aston martin one-77, and the kia stinger five has none of them .
You couldnt see your own wingmirrors
4 and 5 feel like someone's put a thin blanket over the sun
@@dylanburston7453 bruh just turn up your brightness maybe, you know
@@TDB-rm4qt Why would i turn up the brightness? Its already too bright.
Its not an issue with the brightness settings. I have all FH games on the same brightness settings on the same TV, and they all look the same during the day.
FH4 is slightly too bright during the night, FH5 isnt dark enough at all
Its worth to mention the season system. In FH4 its brilliant where in FH5 it does not change much other than adds some snow onto peak on volcano in one season. Maybe map was smaller in FH4, but it was changing drastically each season.
Why does it feel like everyone always says they like the game previous to the current in every franchise?
i feel like FH5's biggest problem is the map. I love that they did work on the little things that people have talked about, car sounds, bodykits and other forms of customization, but its hard to enjoy it when you're in the desert. Mexico isnt a Minecraft seed.
I'm mexican, I'm biased, I love the 4 but the 5 makes me cry, it's sad that there is so much hate,
it makes my skin crawl see everything so well represented it's beautiful
I play on a logitech g920 so i love it and the graphics and everything, music could be better lol,
famous Mexican car is the TSURITO
I cannot agree the games are even. Forza Horizon 5 is just a reskinned FH4. The credit has to go more towards FH4 as it did pretty much all of the stuff fh5 does and on a better map (FH5 map is soooo lifeless and bland)
60fps is a clear reason why 4 was better than 3. 30fps hurts your eyes compared to 60fps
Fh5 feels so empty.
FH5 is all about bugs and glitches
Now I’ve played 1000’s of hours on all Horizons, sim racing obsessed. I believe FH5 had sorted the vehicle sounds out etc & I love the car list and updates. But FH1 to FH4 had some soul. FH5 just feels a dead map with a cold feel. But I still love it a lot.
should i buy fh 4 or 5?
@@realbeetlejuice 4 as it's cheap and will soon be took off from sales .
@@realbeetlejuice 5
Fh5 is a ghost town
the cars feel horrible offroad in fh5, they slide constantly and theyre slow. they nerfed pretty much every car too much, S1 is the new S2 in FH5
i recently also went back to playing fh4 for a bit and man the nostalgia, also yes there is no where near as many bugs and glitches in fh4 then 5 the ui os overall way smoother and that's disappointing to see that they went backwards in that regard but the overall game itself i have to give it to fh5 as it's overall a better game because of the better graphics more realistic physics bigger map more cars and so on.
I wished horizon 4 didn't take away the jeep wagoneer and I wish horizon 5 would bring back the plymouth fury, the Hudson Hornet and the wagoneer!!😭
Ill wait till FH5 gets close to delisting to play it
I’ve only played horizon 4 and 5 and I have to say horizon 4s map was so monumentally better than 5s I just find myself going back to it.
Sorry I’m a petrolhead 😅
Nice work, hello from France 😊
Hope they fix the sound for the new RS7 soon
it decreases my interest for the game
I just wish they made Scotland bigger in fh4 and that's all we needed and we could still be playing it today.
for me personally, at least for technical side, FH4 was better...
I love the new sounds, but beyond that, I preferred FH4. I'm just not a fan of Mexico.
Fh4 and Fh2 are probably the best two forza games period
I've never played 4 but I just purchased this weekend while it was on sale. I'm close to finishing all the main items in 5 and I'm really just annoyed with the map/location. Mexico just isn't that great. It actually made me think of the new Crew game coming out and how it's set in Hawaii. Not good for weather variations.
I would quite like a map that takes quite a while to drive through. That way there could be a more diverse map and an actual need for a train.
So most journeys will take you round the same bit of the outside of the map, past one of 4 or 5 exits for the highway, and then onto the highway to another one of 4 or 5 exits
omg eric, its been a long time since ive seen your video like wow
ive been watching u before my chanel :)
glad to see you again
also first lol
For me it is no brainer. FH4 wins all the time against FH5. In FH4 I loved the map and the architecture of "historic Britain", plus the changing seasons were great and that's why I played it a lot. FH5 I play only to collect new cars, nothing else, I don't like the map, it is kind of empty and not very interesting, plus the changing seasons seems to me the same. Plus the car physics was better in FH4, but even better in FH3.
And in some years people will be saying that Forza Horizon 5 were better that Forza Horizon 6 because yadda yadda. It's a circle that never ends
FOREVER FH4
Forza Horizon 4 has 4 seasons, Forza Horizon 5 just has weather effects in some biomes, so 4x is still bigger than 1.5x. If that doesn't count, Forza Horizon 4 also has LEGO Speed Champions and Fortune Island, both have totally different maps.
i dont like there is no real citys and no buildings ...
For horizon 5 there’s no progression, everything was gifted to you on a silver platter
We literally got super cars handed to us on day one because we played older titles 😭😭😭 what kind of progression is that
@@kevinchadwick9108 The more recent FH's aren't really about progression, at least not in the traditional sense of racing games. As the devs have said, it's about giving players a sandbox and the cars, then letting you race what you want, how you want. Although I will agree that for FH5 they really did give players too much, too soon.
They could still incorporate some of those FM7 bodykits, some looks good.
I just can't get excited over the 500 variations of porsche 911s that they keep releasing. I really felt/feel that I got ripped off buying fh5.
I miss actual seasons
The really need to upgrade the default front downforce kit. It looks terrible on pretty much every car.
I prefer H4 as I'm from the UK. No desire to drive around australia or mexico.
Michael Rosen reviews all Forza Horizon Games:
FH1: I had to reach up.. To get to the cherry on top!!
FH2: Peach Syrup... Tinned Peach Syrup!!
FH3: Really Good
FH4: It was.. Uhmm.. A bit rich, but, Okay.
FH5: I don't think it's funny...
But yeah, FH5 is better in some ways, like with the new features, altered storytelling and some other small things, but FH4 slightly better overall in terms of it's map, car list and overall improvements from it's predecessor.
FH1 will always be the best FH game it’s still unmatched. 😌 it’s so well made especially for it’s time.
I think fh4 had more of a diverse game while fh5 had a more diverse map
Fh4 just felt like a better game especially in Quarantine with da boyz
I sometimes feel that FH5 is FH4 2.0
well for me horizon 4 had more soul than 5. never been fan of tropical areas
They should've just did japan as a map....
I've only played Horizon 4 . Still making my way through it. Kind of excited to try 5 from watching this video.
