I'm with you on potatoshopping analog photos. The negative is a starting point on a creative journey (and always has been, long before potatoshop). So dodge, burn, crop, straighten, remove spots, take stuff out, put stuff in, fill your boots. (As long as you're not passing something fake off as real... or passing of something real as something else real... but that's a photojournalism ethics issue).
6:55 my favorite! it really give me a feeling of a real person on a carbon pen drawing! love your "on a roll" serie! definitely i ll try that film this summer with my Pentax Me Super!
My favorite shot of the roll was the one of your girlfriend in the car at 13:49. Great framing, great smile and very natural, and works really well with Pan F. Pan F has been my goto in 35mm for a long time, and I used it a lot in my Olympus with my 50mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/2.8. I bought a Leica R5 with the 50 Cron as well as some other lenses and yeah, Pan F and Leica glass really go well together.
Which Patreon idea? I still have the Patreon... And I even added some perks for prints as rewards, check em out. There's a link in the description of this video. Also open to and other ideas you might have :)
Oh awesome! I figured you'd make a video announcing it so o didn't know haha. Still would love to see a photo review for your patrons eventually, I'll be joining the patron whenever I have more money lol
Some great photos in there. Pan f is a tricky film and requires really accurate metering, not much latitude for over/under exposure. I love the contrast and look of the film when its nailed.
Accidentally set the multi exposure bitten and rewound. Forced it a little before I realized I hit the wrong switch. Camera seems to be working normally. Do you have any idea what potential damage this could have done?
Awesome video! Love how you lern from mistakes and share so we can learn from your mistakes! But! The studio lights reflecting in your eyes really bugs me :D
Thanks, knowledge is power! This was shot with a ringlight on my friends video setup... If I shoot there again, maybe I'll switch the lighting up a bit
Could you theoretically design a back hinge replacement for a 120 box Brownie camera which would allow you to hold 50 ft of 120 film and would both, hold down the shutter and advance the film at the same time, therefore creating a continuous exposure video camera.
I've been on hiatus lately due to a new addition to the family :) but I have new content in the works! Planning to come back bigger and badder than ever!
AwesomeCameras yes I saw the new addition on your ig and put 2 & 2 together. Congrats I look forward to the new stuff while I watch all your past videos.
Try to make actual print from this film; I always had better results that way, course Pan-F is bad (not disastrous, but still bad) for scanning, from my experience...
I love the "On A Roll" episodes!
Keep up the good work!
Greetings from Italy
Thanks so much! They're very rewarding to make! Glad you enjoy!
Beautiful portrait at 4:34! (I also take at least 2 frames on fairly wide open shots like this).
Thanks! And ya, gotta have that backup shot just in case :)
Great episode, my dude! Lot of great portraits. Especially like the one of you at 14:58.
Love your videos!!
Happy Belated Birthday. Great video.
Very interesting shots
Thanks so much!

Always a great day when you upload a video

Always an inspiration!
Love pan f 50. This was a great roll, it’s awesome to travel through an experience with you. Big yee yee
Thanks Derek! Can't wait to share more!
I love this film. Of course it's my primary go to film.
I'm definitely going to start using it alot more :)
I love the photo at 6:00! even with the palm tree I think it has a lot of character!
I love mistakes! And debunking what went wrong
Great to see a new video from you man, and gears on the pregnancy!
Thanks so much!

always happy to see a new video from you! are you still planning the patreon idea?

@@yaboy69. I was going to mention it. But totally forgot when I recorded this video :)
Nice job 😎
Thanks so much Mr Busy!

Agree! Can't wait to shoot more!

Can't wait for new videos my dude!!
Its pretty slow going, but I promise new video are in the works!!! ;) thanks for hangin out being patient
AwesomeCameras good to hear
I've got any idea for something you could make a video on which is shooting (and making?) a 35mm matchbox camera!! i made one and it was super cool!
I really like the portraits, of your girlfriend especially. This film has a really fine grain. Looks really good with portraits.
How did you get your subjects so bright, while indoors? Were ya'll sitting by a window? 🌞
There was a window maybe 12 to 15 feet away from us. And and f2 lens will help ;)

Just a thought
Great job! Tricky film to get right, not that much latitude to work with. Helps to have a Leica, of course :-)
Just found your channel. Are you still producing content?
I've been on hiatus lately due to a new addition to the family :) but I have new content in the works! Planning to come back bigger and badder than ever!

You're due for another video, I'm sad.
I knoooow! We just had a baby so it's been tough to find the time. But I wanna get back into making videos asap!
@@AwesomeCameras That's amazing, I apologize, take all the time you need.

I would definitely love to take some of this film into the dark room. It's on my list of things to do
What did HCB say, oh yes, sharpness in a bourgeois concept. It is the intent that matters.
Just one video... Please.
theyre coming! I promise! haha. finally getting into a groove with the new baby! :) See you soon!
Okay, now I'm actually kind of sad, this channel is now dead.
Fear not! The channel will be back! I just had a baby a few months ago, so all my energy has been going towards that lately.
