Spent many a long hour at Hoag Hospital myself and was fun to see that familiar view of Newport Harbor from the window. Glad you could make photos of a special time in your lives. Imagine them being looked at by your daughter as an adult with her future husband and your future grandchildren. You've made some family heirlooms.
I came back to watch this again because our baby is coming next month and I’m getting so nervous and overwhelmed about what cameras to bring and how I’m going to take photos lol
Congratulations on your new baby! Welcome too the world baby Billy🥺💕 all the photos came out beautiful, what a great start on a life time full of beautiful pics :)
These are really personal moments, thank you for sharing. I brought a camera along for the birth of my daughter as well, at one point our midwife grabbed the camera and started to take pictures too!
I wish I was into photography (well properly) and film photography when my little brother was born back in 2013... We do have some photos, but they’re all older iPhone photos and no way comparable in quality to the newer iPhone cameras! Plus, we don’t have any physical prints of them
Ha! Don't worry. There's another video coming up shot right after this one full cool r on Portra 800. Also, your mom messaged me and let me know they 'The Machine' is called a warming crib... Learn something new every day!
Perfectly timed video as I was just asking my wife if I should take my Pentax ME Super as well as my Polaroid SLR680. I want the first photo of my child to be a Polaroid!
@@AwesomeCameras nice! I've got the 40mm pancake on it most of the time which keeps size down even more. However, I'm playing with a Helios 44m at the moment. Fast lens but not the quickest to focus manually.
Owned R8 too and also getting my daughter's birth real soon. Great video mate!
Thanks so much!

Congratulations Joey! My son was born almost a year ago. I took my trusty Nikon f100 with a 50 1.4 and Tri-X pushed to 800

I LOVE the photo at 10:45! Such a great story line shot in images. This would definitely make a great photo book for your family!

Not sure if its just me but I'm seeing a fogged out square throughout the video, Anyone Else?
yup
Why don’t you show the camera you used.
This series is more about the photos. Maybe I will make a video about the camera itself :)
hello
hi?
Instead of ‘Machine’ or ‘Contraption’, I prefer ‘Apparatus’.
Another great suggestion!!
