Gordon Ramsay checks in to the Juniper Hill Inn in Windsor, VT, a place that looks like a million dollars but smells of raw sewage. He meets the inn’s wealthy and arrogant owner, Robert Dean II, and uncovers his shocking treatment of his staff.

They sold the hotel in 2014, and as of 2022 it’s under completely new management and is called The Windsor Mansion Inn. It has a 5 star rating on TripAdvisor which is awesome.
Apparently there was constant staff turnover after filming and even by the time the episode aired in 2013 the majority of the staff in the video had already left. The hotel didn’t really have much improvement after Gordon visited. I personally believe the reason why it failed is because of the creepy owner, Robert. I’ve said this before under another video about this specific episode but he really gives off predator vibes. I can’t explain why, but he does.

The Juniper Hill Inn closed in April 2014. After that it was sold for $405k to new owners and renamed to Windsor Mansion Inn. The reviews are pretty nice, mostly around 4.6* and prices are about half of the original, so around ($140 now).

The owners seem to think of themselves as British royalty I mean why the hell will someone throw a party for their friends which costs hundreds of dollars, not put a tab on drinks and not pay their staff. They ruined the historical value of this place. They posted on their website that they are no longer in business.
Ari was arrested in July 2015 for assaulting a police officer.
The hotel was bought by Kenni Lucci and sister Brenda Bradley in 2015 for $400,000 with plans to invest $500,000 to get the hotel up to code.
They told reporters that the place was left in a state of disrepair and there were boxes of unused merchandise.
The hotel reopened as the Windsor Mansion Inn and Trip Advisor reviews are excellent.
They think they are too sophisticated and end up looking like idiots
You can tell the owners have never been punched in the face. The way they act, is just soooo bad. The way Ari looked around and said "Everyone should know that." shows the ego he has thinking he is high and mighty because he knows more about a painting. The way robert got offended not because he was wasting money on the RV but rather because THEY CALLED IT AN RV, is telling as well. Offended cuz ur "motorcade" was called an RV. And I think they don't pay the staff and invite locals because they do actually think that everyone but the rich who know about the paintings and the plays are beneath them.

My first job was in a small hotel with owners like this... they fought for every cent, degrading their staff for even the slightest "loss" (like giving a few extra teabags to a guest), yet they always had the newest phones, luxury cars and even wrote books about "how to be successful in business" and "how to hire the dream team" when they had a constant staff turnover 🙈 "They don't have to work here" was their mindset as well lol. I left after a year, so I honestly don't understand why these ppl stay, I really hope they left soon after the episode too and found something better 🥺

Idk how can he, as an antique fanatic, leave the sewage smell for months. Its not gonna go away, its gonna make the furniture smell. Its not easy to wash foam chairs and bedding. Its not just that the room is out of service, its being damaged
Its not super easy, but its very much possible. Any physical dirt can be washed away and rest can be cleaned with ozone device, but again equipment to do that costs around 1.5k€ so it would be easier to fix the damn drainage system.
@@Hellsong89 deep cleaning something with a fabric surface will usually damage the fabric, its much cheaper and easier to tear all the soft stuff out and redo it, and thats how soft furniture is usually restored. You can keep the springs, and sometimes you can keep part of the fabric from an undamaged area if you find a perfect match for the inevitably damaged area. But thats pretty much it (im no expert tho and it seems you are, can you give me some more info like a link to your resources? Im looking to restore a couch but i already failed a pair of chairs once when i hired a guy to clean them, he but didnt dry them properly and they got mouldy. But i really like old school recliners and sofas they look much more inviting than the super minimalist ones)
