During the first lockdown in March/April/May 2020 I was recently seperated, in a tiny studio flat, couldn't see my kids, this band which I knew of before, I watched and watched and watched their videos and concerts, sometimes through the night till the sun came up the next morning. Fast forward to August 2022 and I'm standing at Reading, not too far from where this was recorded , belting out the songs , as much as I knew, at the top of my voice with my 13 year old son next to me. Thank you Patricia and The 1975 x
I was supposed to see them for the 4th time in Edinburgh 2020, can't tell you how gutted I was when it was cancelled. Absolutely loved this band from the very beginning. Roll on the tour next year

There's something about how raw that Love It If We Made It performance is, made me tear up big time. While the song's references have dated, and were always going to have a time-capsule effect, the sentiment of the track resonates even stronger today than when the song came out. And I felt it to my core with the way Matty just screamed the entire way through the track.

Sat in a pub in Liverpool waiting to go back to passport office to collect, heard the intro and that was it- I'm in. Came home and spent hours trying to find out what song I'd heard. Roll on leeds direct arena Jan 2023. Matt healey- this generations Bowie. Multi instrumentalist. Writer. Arranger. Lyricist. Oh, and best front man since freddie. We love you matty. Fucking make em have it kiddo.

As you messaged, sat watching the 1975 with the bbc philharmonic orchestra. This kid is special. Complicated, but special. A rare talent. Probably will cry when we see them live for first time, but who cares. It's all about the emotion baby.
My mrs got me tickets for Christmas for that very Leeds show. I was a bit sceptical as I'm a 33 year old guy - and was a bit self-conscious about being the oldest there. Safe to say there was no need to worry - there were people far older than me dancing and singing around me once inside. Absolutely phenomenal show! Seeing them at Radio 1's Big Weekend in May. :)

This is great! Playing it on my tv! I was there close and I loved the entire set! Watching them build that ramp made me super anxious! Pulling out the white stage coating! What an adventure! THEY’RE BACK ,,,,, OUR FAVORITE BAND. I didn’t notice till half way through they didn’t do the 10 minute ramp to “go down!”

I remember seeing the 1975 at a small rock venue on their first tour of the states a decade ago. It's insane (not surprised) to see them headlining huge music festivals like this now! They deserve all the hype.
I've been checking hourly too ! I suspect it's more that because they were a late replacement they didn't agree on the rights, especially with a tour coming up. I don't think it was the crowd banter, especially having seen the Megan Thee Stalion footage with the girls plucked out the crown twerking and having their T*ts signed ! Thanks to Patricia for making the video appear

The most common reason for this is a contractual one, The BBC can’t upload it without paying royalties/fees to “the 1975”. The usual issue here is the band management demanding more than the broadcaster wish to pay. So it ends with a stalemate. The BBC own the footage, but The 1975’s label own the music.
