    It's as though there's some significantly specific purpose to having it be 62.996% particularly.

    • @aspacebuddha
      @aspacebuddha  3 года назад +102

      the idea of the speed was i did the math to find the speeds for which the pitches are shifted down to a different set of tones in standard tonality. so you can slow something to those speeds without removing the pitches from standard tonality. though richard prefers microtuning, so they probably weren't in ST in the first place. the speeds came from another project where i thought the artist put out songs sped up, and i wanted to find the original speeds.

    • @Thrna_1
      @Thrna_1 3 года назад +5

      @@aspacebuddha it's in E right? The original is in C, and a tritone would be 70.71% speed

    • @Thrna_1
      @Thrna_1 3 года назад +3

      @@aspacebuddha I wonder about the process of how it's shifted, descending an octave would make 100hz 50 hz, and 75 hz 37.5 hz.

    • @aspacebuddha
      @aspacebuddha  3 года назад +27

      @@Thrna_1 yeah. halving the speed lowers pitches an octave, because an octave is a doubling of wavelength. so 50% is 12 semitones. 25% is 24 semitones. so it's a curve. i forget how i did the math but i found my document with the speeds for you.
