Well, people will be disappointed if they see Nightreign as elden ring 2, it's a spinoff roguelike. I'm just hoping the runs won't get repetitive fast and that there's plenty of variety in each game session.
I just wanna solo Isshin as the Sekiro parry character while all my friends watch in horror of what I'm gonna do to that man! I really hope he's in the game!
Same, hopefully, with them reusing some of the souls' bosses, I hope that means we won't have as much same boss bloat like in Elden Ring. Looking at you, unulcerated tree spirit.
Godwyn isn't entirely dead/alive just like Ranni isn't entirely dead/alive. The story has been hinting that he will transform into a dragon and likely be the ultimate boss for the entire series. Not to mention common sense would tell anyone playing the game that death isn't a reason to assume a character will cease to play a role in the story. We are talking about a game that is riddled with undead characters and enemies. Hell, the main protagonist we play is the perfect example of this. The real question is WHEN we will see Godwyn again. I'd prefer it as DLC but we are already getting hints the FROMSOFT is probably going to hold this for a future title assuming he isn't the "Night Lord". I doubt it.
Elden ring nightreign is only non canon in the sense that different events happened after the shattering here, but everything before the shattering is the same. So while the main story will be something new, it has lore taken from elden ring. This means teh real question is whether or not pre shattering lore in nightreign will be canon to elden ring itself. For example the night lord has the same name as the night lords talked about by the nox. There’s also eternal city structures in the trailer which gives more credence to the idea of the night lord being the nox prophesied lord. There’s also the three wolf boss that’s similar to that statue in farum azula of the three wolves surrounding the woman.
Valid approach with lots of good points, half the community is already worshipping the game while the other half is acting like roguelite is the end of the world.
1:43 Don't expect any boss coming from Bloodborne, Demon's Souls or Sekiro btw. Not only they don't have the rights for what sadly are Sony's IPs, but probably they will stay on their work with Bandai and not touch Sekiro for it's relation with Activision. 5:03 Godwyn it's probably also death on Nighreign since his assasination happens before the Shattering. That being said, no ones is stopping them to do something with his body or a "Deathroot Avatar" 10:47 An issue with this idea it's the fact that this game has fixed characters, therefore, it's unlikely that they will provide a system like this for only one or two casters. We also still don't know how the loot works, meaning that if spells are also in the pool of randomness the idea of sticking only to certain spells will not matter because there wouldn't be a way to assure those. On the contrary, if they are not on the pool and are fixed to the character, then probably every spell it's purposefully handcrafted to work as different tools of the mage. All being said, one of the abilities of that mage it's supossedly the ability to store status effect from enemie sources, so close enough maybe. 13:30 Actually the trailer already shows that the same character that does a stake-driver kind of attack also has a grappling hook able to close gaps with enemies or make them get closer. Just like another character clearly doing full-on Sekiro deflects, even stance breaking before hitting
If they are bringing all the old bosses into the game, would love to see that we get all the old armor and weapons back. Like imagine you beat the abyss watchers in nightreign and you get the farron greatsword or the armor, i would be the happiest man ever. Along with that, a bunch of challenges like beating a boss without anyone dying in coop unlocks you a cooler variant of the armor or a completely different armor or weapon (you beat gael you get his armor but you beat him without anyone dying you get smth like a ringed knight weapon or if you do him solo or with a different character like the archer you could get his crossbow). Also getting permanent stuff without necessarily fighting bosses (how in risk of rain you can just buy a character in the bazaar or try to survive waves to get the lizard)
Nightreign is the Underworld to the Lands Between - if Godwyn is a death deity like Osiris then he had a day form (golden scion) and a night form (horned goat one). Ranni slaying him at night left his night form stranded in the Underworld with no day form to return to. That said in the Underworld you are already dead, there is nothing to lose in the land of Death. There is only the hope of redemption through tasks and battles (if he is like Hades/Pan - in mythology it was about redemption, not just punishment). That horned goat man looks like the wild horned goats at Stormhill, and the giant hawks like the storm king ashes. I think Stormveil was his day/order castle. The one we'll see is his night/chaos castle. Maybe anyway. I'm thinking this place is where Marika sealed GEQ. It fits the separate world/timeline perfectly since she wasn't present in ER. We prob have to fight her 3 dogs (the ones we saw in Farum Azula statue) just before we fight her and her Horned Prince Godwyn probably in some crazy goat-dragon death form. Not with death blight but the black-purple of soul obliteration chaotic death itself (they forgot to remove that color from the glowing eyes of DemiHuman queens Gilika and Maggie). We'll see! They'll come up with great lore regardless.
I really hope to see and fight King Vendrik before he hollowed and in his full gear. Also The Persuer should be a must as one one the invading tormentor bosses.
i know we're getting skins after defeating Night Lords. I just hope they are varied and cool. I know this is a PvE experience, but i would like if they added a PvP variant that could be used to add more skins and whatever permanent abilities there are. I just hope the PvE doesn't get too repetitive... I dont want to end up getting bored and returning to Elden Ring after playing this for just a measly 10 cycles.
people who say that the bosses are just an asset swap have no idea what that actually means. if the asset was swapped it'd be a carbon copy of the original. and while i possibly could see this for the ds3 or bloodborne bosses if there is more of them. they likely will get some changes. but just look at the Centipede demon. its model is so much nicer looking. and its fight will be so much better. I would love to see some of the most loved bosses return. like Artorias, Fume Knight, Burnt Ivory. it'd be amazing seeing them made for a new gen game.
My ultimate fantasy of this is getting modernised versions of classic bosses. I played Demon Souls a few years ago after beating the DS trilogy, BB and Sekiro. It was cool seeing the roots of the genre but so easy! I was imagining how amazing a boss like the Maneaters could be with faster, more damaging moves!
I mean the game is designed to handle multiple players, so the night reign bosses, along with nameless king, will probably have new appropriate attacks for multiple people, right? This means that returning bosses like nameless king have to have new attacks
@tasosplat3589 I'm hoping this is the way their design process goes. Imagine Ornstein and Smough rebalanced for this brand of multiplayer. Then keep the 2nd stage where the first boss slain is absorbed by the other but add some big lightning spells with more pizzaz
I'm sorry but lore is not enough to make up for the flaws of ds2. Adaptability stat, boring map design, terrible enemy placement, no s on fogwalls making you deal with said enemies every time you do a run back to the poorly designed and boring boss fights. It's an okay game because it's still dark souls but comfortably the worst in the series
With so many people celebrating the game as if it is Elden Ring 2, Nightreign has hard shoes to fill. What are your expectations for the new title?
Well, people will be disappointed if they see Nightreign as elden ring 2, it's a spinoff roguelike. I'm just hoping the runs won't get repetitive fast and that there's plenty of variety in each game session.
I'm really hyped for that Sekiro-like character
I just wanna solo Isshin as the Sekiro parry character while all my friends watch in horror of what I'm gonna do to that man! I really hope he's in the game!
I'm glad it ain't elden wrong 2. Nightrien sounds like my kinda game.
@FoolOfDust94032 Elden wrong got extremely repetitive fast, so what's your point?
bed of chaos duo
smelter demon duo
sir alonne runback duo
adaptability
@@LadyButterfly1999 best stat in the game
Don’t forget the legendary Godskin Trio that we didn’t get
I really hope they add a boss rush to Elden Ring and the DLC like what they did in Sekiro, where you can fight any boss you like any time you like.
hope there will be good boss variety in the game
Same, hopefully, with them reusing some of the souls' bosses, I hope that means we won't have as much same boss bloat like in Elden Ring. Looking at you, unulcerated tree spirit.

I love how smooth your gameplay always is.
@SpringPrincess- bc I don't include the chaotic parts
I want to see Artorias.
0:22 you can't put those two clips back to back and tell me games won't be related
Hope the new Roguelike has enough incentive to replay it like Isaac, and that the layout changes enough to keep it fresh.
Valid approach with lots of good points, half the community is already worshipping the game while the other half is acting like roguelite is the end of the world.
I hope they add a big hat logan boss fight
You know what I want to see? Gwyn in his peak, I want to face the power of an actual God, that would be so sick!
FromSoft's "Against the Wall" DLC characters:
DS1 - Chester (Bloodborne)
BB - Yamamura (Sekiro)
DS3 - Vilhelm (Elden Ring)
ER - Night Jolan (Nightreign)
really looking forward to the birb character
Skins and permanent weapon upgrades for completeing challenge runs would be really fun.

God pls god give us inner malenia 🙏
😴
Radahn, Consort of the Bed of Chaos
Malania + Consort Radhan Duo fight, both have their own seperate 2nd phases.
I want to see Patches play the fire keeper/maiden roll.
I just hope when the game comes out, it does not have a battle pass
What we wanted: Bloodborne-kart.
What we got: Night reign.
I'll take it. No complaints. Or maybe a couple.
people who say that the bosses are just an asset swap have no idea what that actually means.

I hope we get some Bloodborne creatures/characters. Always wanted to see these properties cross over.
Artorias, it's Artorias.
I want to fight an updated Artorias.
Peak condition with Sif
Jolly cooperation instead of toxic PvP community.
Those content creators are straight up IRL goblins. Even that AI Ranni
Uninstall or git gud.
If there is one thing From are great at, its innovating in provocative and bold ways
Things I want to see in Nightreign:
- Radagon's Zamor legion Commander unique bossfight
- Radagon's Zamor legion Commander unique bossfight
- Radagon's Zamor legion Commander unique bossfight
- Radagon's Zamor legion Commander unique bossfight
- Radagon's Zamor legion Commander unique bossfight
as long as there is good variety to different characters I'll be satisfied
Ornstein and smough + godskins could be fantastic 👌
Can they do a Purple Smelter Demon fight with dual welding swords.
I hope we have mohg and morgott duo
GODWYN!!!!!!!
I wanna romance royal rat vanguard. 🐀 ❤️
Won't buy remake if I can't.
man: talks about how spears were good in ds1
also man: doesnt use the spear and just backstab chains enemies
great video
Really had to spoil uncle Ben’s death for no reason smh
Sorry for 3rd comment but 2:10 is too important to ignore. DS2 is a terrific game and i'm glad we have become wise enough to acknowledge this fact
I just want build variety and good Bosses. Only disappointed about no character creator.
bruh sekiro had no character creator and no one complained about that
Cuz sekiro isn't a souls game, not good example @yomrwhite607
Bed of Chaos please FS

I wanna see PvP
DS2 IS GOAT
seems cool, but not for 40 bucks
