RTD did say in a Video Commentary that it was Ruby making a mistake in the moment because she’s in overload with all of this new information she’s learning and I can kinda understand the intention, I just think that with adoption being such a misunderstood topic in society, Ruby calling Louise her real mum as if to say Carla isn’t her real mum because she’s adoptive might send the wrong message to non-adoptees. But apart from that I think the representation of adoption this season has been pretty great, one thing I wish though is that we’d seen the Doctor and Ruby bonding over their shared experience as adoptees, the Doctor opening up about Tecteun, and perhaps even opening up about the family that raised him when he was the First Doctor, also opening up about the reasons as to why he hasn’t attempted to find his birth family and native planet, which I think is down to the fear of the unknown, and the fear of the answer being that he was unwanted by his birth parents so they abandoned him at the monument where Tecteun found him.
The "real mum" reference put me off too. And, plot-wise, the notion that she named Ruby by dramatically pointing at the sign. With no one around to see or know about it.

As for classic Who episodes: Yes. 🤗 Speaking from experience, I get how slow the first and second Doctor’s episodes can be. I recommend “The Ribos Operation” a 4th Doctor serial perhaps to start with. Capaldi said it best, if not first, that the fantastic thing about Doctor Who is that anyone can pretty much start with any episode. I am excited to see what comes next! I agree with you: Sutekh had no reason to care who that woman was. Also, that robed woman has to be something, otherwise why doesn’t snow??!! And it doesn’t make sense that she pointed to the sign, not even knowing she was being recorded.
After watching it again, I’m starting to Think that the hooded figure was not Ruby’s mother, and is part of the pantheon. When Ruby held up the screen for Sutekh To see, his reply was “I’ve waited so long”. That seems like a meaningful reply from him. Being that he is immortal, and that he cares nothing for life, but sees it as an abomination, I don’t think the cloaked figure was human. I mean, unless I’m wrong, we never actually see that cloaked figure put Ruby on the steps of the church, do we? Also, the Maestro said that the song could only be that powerful in Ruby if “the oldest one” was there. But then later, they said that “he who waits” is coming. It sounds like those are two different beings. I feel like if Millie is going to be in season two, they’re going to continue to explain why it snows when ever she talks about her birth and who that cloaked figure actually is.
I agree with you about the ending it was building up and building up for weeks people thought Ruby's mother might had been an alien or some character from Classic Who then it just turned out to be a ordinary person who one knows or really cares about to be truthful which I thought was lazily written and a real cop-out wasn't the best finale in my opinion the next episode is on at Christmas I hope that wasn't considered a spoiled if it was I apologise. As for The classic series I would definitely love to see you react to that it's up to you but I definately would like to see you start from 1963 onwards and give the first two Doctors another chance it is slow on first watches but on several rewatches they do get better and perhaps feel less slower and watch it with patience is the best way to view them but if you don't want to do that totally fine my recommendations are: "The Talons of Weng-Chiang" and "The Robots of Death" both incredible stories.

(a lot of red going on this season - Garnet, Ruby, Cherry, Rose, etc..) also, shouldn't they have found her bio dad through the DNA matching like they did her bio mom? Nevermind, I'll just pretend that he had moved away from the UK before 2046. Also, super enjoyed the edit this week! I laughed out loud in a room by myself multiple times without shame. I look forward to watching any Who vids you create, but pls don't forget to finish SNW at some point before Season 3 releases in 2025. They just wrapped filming, but have post production to do. I need me so more Hot Spock 😂 and it is such a great show regardless.
