Thanks to our local shreddledites Bronco McGursky. Bucky Backwash. Duke Kaeamakookus And Shlomo Ginsberg. After this session we shredded some curlers from a spot we call oil tankers. It 2-4 not feet but inches. So come fot some world class beach break and brisket and we'll wash it all down with a kegger of some nice cold brewskis. Yahooooo 🤠 🏄
Galveston is a great place to learn as it's usually fairly small and has a pretty mellow vibe. You can rent a board or grab a lesson at one of the local shops to get you started. Biggest piece of advice...have fun!
That is what we would consider good surf, and it happens mostly during the winter. Any time there is a front we get little windows of good waves at the tail end when the wind shifts from north to west, which is offshore. It will clean up and get decent like that or better. During summer time it is mainly wind swell with a few tropical storms mixed in. We actually have a lot of surf on Padre its just usually wind blown. South Padre actually gets pretty good. I could show you pics that you wouldnt believe is texas.
how often do you go out? i Finally picked up a board and am definitely needing some guidance. ive been surfing 3 times in the span of 20 years. but now that im only 5hrs away from padre i scooped up a board and am READY to Surf as Much as Possible
sick, i also surf what you can call the third coast of france and it gives me a lot of motivation. hopefully some swell this afternoon!
