What I did to fix mine (so far it’s worked 2 days) is take as many screws out of the motherboard as you can and pry on the side gently while tucking in tightly folded paper shims. There was another video where somebody took out the motherboard and put electrical tape on the back as a shim but my screwdriver hates half of the screws in that phone.

Excellent workaround. I could not get the problem repaired even after paying 90EUR at repair shop. This tip just cost me 10 bucks for the tools and now my phone works like ever before . Thanks.
Any idea how long this lasts? I thought this would be an ic chip or motherboard problem.

You saved the day sir. Although I didn’t add anything under the plate, I torqued the screws a little, closed it back, and so far so good. Would you believe the repair tech at the Apple store at the mall couldn’t figure it out? 🤦♂️

This worked almost perfectly! I felt like i had tried everything. Tried different screens, cleaned connections with isopropyl alcohol and tried factory reset. Nothing worked. This worked first try but i had to tigthen the screws a lot. Thanks.

This worked for my phone for a few weeks, then it wouldn’t work again. I doubled up the plastic to create a thicker layer, and it worked a second time. It’s now unresponsive to touch again. Do you have any other recommendations for a permanent solution?

It's the same process for Iphone 7 plus. But after I did the fix there was a slight white dot on the top right screen. Maybe it's one of the screws touching the back of the screen? The white dot is only visible when there's a while back color. I can see the white dot is a bit brighter tan the white color of screen. I hate to reopen the phone again and redo it. Maybe the sim card is a bit too thick? Maybe there's something a bit thinner? Any ideas?
