Best solution ever. I tried almost every method to fix the touch disease, but they weren’t as a permanent solution as this one that ISmart demonstrated right here. I tried cleaning the inside of the phone with a toothbrush. That didn’t work. I tried putting a SIM card inside of my phone to connect the screen to the phone that didn’t work. I tried restarting and resetting my phone. That didn’t work as well. ISmart earned that Nickname. I wouldn’t have been able to fix my phone without him. I didn’t have red adhesive tape, but I used double sided and black electrical tape to place them on the two components to connect the touch screen to my phone, and it worked very well for me. So far the touch screen disease didn’t come back for a week. I thank you ISmart.
What I did to fix mine (so far it’s worked 2 days) is take as many screws out of the motherboard as you can and pry on the side gently while tucking in tightly folded paper shims. You can take out the motherboard and put electrical tape on the back as a shim but my screwdriver hates half of the screws in that phone. This video is an absolute godsend so far, thank you.
2018-12-05 I have just done this and , so far, no touch disease. Thanks very much! I'll report back on how it goes over time. 2018-12-15 It’s been 10 days and iPhone is still working great. 2019-01-24 iPhone 6Plus still hasn’t missed a beat. 2019-09-24 my iPhone is still working with no problems. I didn’t apply any heat to the Touch chip but that is recommended in the latest version of this fix. Have a look at the new version released 2 days ago also.
OMG AMIGO YOU SAVED my life!!! im completely broke without a job I can't believe how easy it is to fix my phone, as my dad says if you teach a man how to fish...... thanks amigo people like you make youtube an even bigger asset!!!!!!
This was an extremely helpful tutorial on how to fix the "ghost touch" problem. However, I want to give a warning to anyone with a 6S Plus. There are a couple different points in the video to be aware of. 1) Don't forget to disconnect the power-button connector before lifting the motherboard. It loops under the motherboard and around to the top. This connector is different on the 6 Plus, so it is not in the video. Just be careful. 2) The two points to apply pressure are not in the same positions either, so you need to be a little more creative with your method. I just finished doing this, though, and it looks like everything is in working order again. I'm leaving the phone on to see if any problems come up, but it's been roughly an hour already and it's still perfectly responsive. Thank you so much!
@@ameliaseinitausala1810 What do you mean? I did it almost exactly how he did in the video, but just pointed out the differences in my comment regarding the 6S Plus.
Awesome fix, worked for me on an iPhone 6 where you have to remove a couple more screws to remove motherboard compared to the 6 Plus. Thanks for the video :)
Excellent...it worked for my iPhone 6 plus almost everything was successful except the Wi Fi antenna I accidental broke the tiny cable, so I have to order a new one online for $2.99 following your video instructions step by step, Thank you so much...!
Joe Cifuentes hi joe, I did the same thing when I took this apart, so I disconnected the broken antenna cable with the intention of getting a replacement... did you put your phone back together with the broken antenna and did it work? Mine isn’t turning on without it, so I wonder if that’s it or if I messed something else up.
I did this tape trick and it worked for about 9 or 10 months from November 2018 to yesterday September 21st, 2019. Part of it is probably because the tapes adhesive (electrical tape) was good but over time just stopped working and started moving around and I stopped the phone many times these past two months so I think it wasn’t as tight I redid the process about 4 months ago btw and it worked but now it just doesn’t anymore so I guess that’s it for my 6 plus time to downgrade to my 5s 💀, did the tape trick again today December 20th and I fixed it but I pryed the battery out so now I need a new one and a new WiFi antenna because I always loose a screw and break something when I take iPhones apart.
you are a legend! i already like and subscribe your youtube channel...i know when i go to repair its gonna cost me about $200 to buy new motherboard (may be) BUT you really awesome...its work 200% thank you so much...
Great video, I’m watching it on an Iphone 6 plus with the very same problem, I will try to fix it following your tutorial since I can’t afford a new phone right now.
Great video. I learnt so much from this. I have replaced my own battery and screen on my ip6 and this has given me the confidence to help my family & friends with further repairs 🤪👍
Hey thanks for the video because it helped me tremendously. Your steps were very precise and clear. The camera was still and I could see what you were doing very clearly. I did use a piece of electrical tape that I saw from another video. Thanks again!!!! I finally have my phone back.
I haven't even tried this yet, just now seeing, and I already love this video. Why? Because you REASSEMBLED it on the video too!! Another video I found only fixed it and then ended the video. Hope this works for me! This phone helps so much with my business.
Yes it works. If still not working try adding another layer of adhesive. Depending on bend in phone it may need more. Not too much however, can cause pressure on screen/digitizer that is visible when touching screen.
I just had to write how happy i'm that i tried using this video. I must admit that I didn't think it would work. Not to mention those screws are tiny. But to make a long story short I followed the video and i'm happy to report it "Worked" !!!!!. Just take your time and pause the video in case you need more help. Yes I lost a few screws but my iPhone 6 Plus is working again. Thank you and God bless.
I've just repaired my iPhone 6 Plus's touch disease with this instructions! But, instead of using folded scotch tape, I used some hard plastic that I cut out from a SIM card adapter. Now my phone finally works perfectly! Highly recommended instructions for the iPhone 6+ touch issue! Thank you iSmart for this video!
Followed these instructions exactly and they worked. Never taken a phone apart like this before - huge gratitude for your clear instructions. Really, really helpful.
It really worked. Thank you for the clear instructions! I didn't want to spend having it repaired yet again and since it's not covered with warranty anymore, decided to give this a try. So satisfying to experience opening up my old iPhone and actually have it in working condition again for my kids to use.
THANK YOU!! I EVEN JUST LIFTED THE SCREEN AND PLACED A PIECE OF CARD ON THE CHIP COVER WITHOUT REMOVING IT. WILL SEE HOW LONG THAT LASTS AND THEN MAYBE PLACE UNDERNEATH. WISH I HADN'T GONE OUT AND BOUGHT ANOTHER PHONE NOW LOL. THANKS AGAIN.
Thank you very very much!! I use my iPhone 6 Plus for work and you my man have made my day. Thank you again for your expertise. Had this phone for 4 years I replaced the screen as it was fried but now it’s responding everytime. I had to smack it to work there for I knew it was a hardware problem. Absolute legend. Thank you thank you.
I bought my stepdaughter a used iPhone for Christmas and was totally unaware of this issue. I felt bad because I bought her a broken phone and also because I was out $300. No phone repair place would touch it. I tried this and it's fixed!!!! More amazing is by following your directions, I was able to put it back together perfectly! Thank you so much!!!
big clutch. I tried the solution but didnt have enough layers so i took it apart and put it back together with more layers. It did make the problem less worse but it still does the thing every so often.

A good one it seems to me this solution is working 100% cuz I did exactly unless I didn't heat it and it's working, when I switch on the phone the touch works correctly but after it sleeps if I wake it up with home button the touch work no more, after following this method everything work, I just wanna see what's up the next 24hrs.
Much to complicated for me. Too many screws and delicate parts to remove and replace. Guess I'll have to take it in to a repair shop for a professional to try and fix. Only thing is with the Covid pandemic all of them are currently on lockdown so I'll have to wait for when they reopen.
