Hahaha I cant argue with that 42 hours sitting in Castle Wars only gets you the gold boots, rough calculation, I reckon its a minimum (pure clean sheet wins) of 616 hours (including the member stuff)... Damn man 616 you could probably get to OSRS endgame and more in that time 😅
It may have been helpful to go over the AFK splashing method for 3 tickets per game (requires another acc to splash). This way, you can grind out tickets AFK while gaining magic xp. I banked 1000 tickets using this strategy for the boots and shield. Also, mentioning 800 tickets for buying all items in the shop via selling back items may have been useful for collection loggers.
Hey DistalSoul! Those are awesome tips! I'll definitely add them to my updates list, I never thought of combining this with splashing! Thank you man! 😃👍
If you're f2p,I'd highly suggest spending enough time there for the low or mid rier boots, it'll still be the best you can get. The top tier is kinda a waste of time.
Yeah, the first lot that are the equivalent of steel are still a lot better than the fighting/fancy boots and you can get them after only 2-3 games! Great points Skagzi1la! 😃👍
Hi Thleta! Thanks for the comment! Yeah its definitely a bit limited due to the number of players! I guess they are just a lot more focused on new content to really go back and check on the relevance/health of Castle Wars. 😥 Sad Times! Maybe there are some clans out there that fight more regularly, maybe try the OSRS forums or reddit to get into a clan.
Thanks for this! Im planning on doing castle wars for those gold boots, after I get my magic up to 92 at least. Currently at level 84, so not too much longer... My thought process is that with a high magic level, I'll be able to resist all the snares and what not to be a flag runner for my team. Hopefully, my plan works. 😅
I mean if you use an alt on a world where no one else is at you could just steal 1 flag wait for time and instantly get 3 tickets. Add in the fact that castle wars has a return policy on gear bought ie 100% and you could swap your tickets for gear as you like.
Thanks for the comments! Indeed if you are looking to do it actively by playing Castle Wars then your plan sound good to me. A faster alternative as @jaye4157 has pointed out is to get a friend (or an alt account) and just farm tickets, boring but much quicker. 😅 Good luck getting the boots and to 92 Magic!
@@TheLumbridgeKnight glad I could help, btw question from your melee guide. When training on body golems what is the recommended levels to start and stop at as well as what loot to bank? I take everything minus the copper and tin ore as I don't use bronze for anything, but I plan to use the body cores for rune exp
Yeah I remember it being rammed full of players! Really needs some work, I think a seasonal cross over event for both F2P and P2P players would be awesome! With P2P getting better overall rewards, but also adding in some items worth while for F2P too! Plus a few more maps with some new routes, equipment and tactics. It could own! 🤔 Thanks for the comment fredperry3063!
Have you done a video on the history of runescape? I.e development? I stopped playing just after the combat style changed and came back when they launched "osrs", stopped for another several years and picked it up this yea. My favourite times were dungeoneering and fist of guthix but everyone says thats not part of osrs. Id love to know where what was implimented
I remember watching a video by J1mmy where he discusses how perfect Castle Wars is set up to be an esport, on top of OSRS's unique mechanics. Not sure how well it'll actually improve the minigame for regular players if Jagex updated it with that intention, but it might at least give it more attention, regardless if it's P2P or F2P. Normally I don't give two shits about esports and the sweaty try-hards that play them, but I found that interesting.
Ahh cool I'll have to have a look for that video. I think the best thing they could do is make it a seasonal/bi-monthly event. Update the rewards so that there is genuinely some good stuff, make a few new maps with new areas, features and equipment and mix F2P and P2P so its one big player base. This way people will want to play the latest war and it will always feel fresh and rewarding. 🤔This in itself could create a kind of esports feel, just add clan/team tournaments, I'm sure if the rewards were enough people would enter! Thanks for the comment mrpants100! 👍
Your videos have helped me get back into the game as a f2p , now I'm close to a bond to really lock in 🎉
Nice man! Congrats on the future bond and welcome back! 👍 Cheers for the comment GillemFaster! 😃👍
if you complete all the items you are actually a monster.

@@TheLumbridgeKnight you can get 99 slayer rc and agility in that time.

@@TheLumbridgeKnight no worries buddy. It was your guides which helped me reach the level to find out these things! Keep it up 😎

wish there was a discord that was running games and stuff. Wish I could get the hood and cape and have some fun while doing so

I used to love this when I first released. Shame to hear that it's a bit dead now.
Definitely agree that it needs a few updates.

amazing
Glad you think so! Thanks for the comments!
Its a pretty fun minigame, the lack of interest is saddening.
Thanks for the comments Skagzi1la! 😀😀👍👍
Are there any f2p specific clans? I looked through the discord and couldn’t find any
I don't know about F2P only, maybe try making a new one yourself? Looking on the OSRS Reddit page or the forums might help you? 🤔
first! :)
Gracias Sir! 😃😃👍👍
