  • It's exactly what the title says. I was bored and figured I'd try doing my hair because I have no idea how to, and it shows in the video. Sorry for all of the professional hairstylist I will be offending in this video because of my incompetence. I needed a mental break from making commentary and thought this would be fun. I also wanted to rant about college for a bit being that I'm taking a break from it as well. Good luck to all of my school kids struggling to finish the year.

i feel this so hard! i just finished my first year of college and i'm reflecting on what went well and what didn't. i made more connections than i expected but i also find we all don't really know how to take the next step into a deeper friendship 🤔 hoping to keep working on that! i'm not into the party scene either.
i hope your transfer is smooth if you end up going for it 😊 it's probably worth a shot if nothing is tying you down right now!

As a fellow black girl who’s starting to prepare for college I had to learn how to do my own hair and my mom is a hair stylist so I hope these tips help
1.To really get tangles out of your hair, ALWAYS (while your hair is wet) put on conditioner then brush out your hair. Much easier to comb through
2.For hair ties, don’t get the typical ones you have in the video. Get the ones with no rubber core. When you find them they usually a piece of fabric coiled up to look like a hair tie or have a dent in the inside. You’ll know when you see it. They are much more flexible and they pretty much never break
3.For the 🌽 roll look, take three individual strands of your hair. It depends on where you want to start but stay consistent; take either the left or right strand from the middle and cross it over between the middle and opposite side. Hold the strand you just crossed over and cross over the opposite strand and repeat until you are at the ends.
For this one I recommend using a rattail comb to make the braids more even. Take your rattail comb to the edges of your hair, then move the comb in a straight line on your scalp. You don’t have to go all the way across, I usually just do the middle of the head or a couple of inches depending on where I do it. When you’re ready lift your comb up and try to pull apart strands that stuck together

I did not expect this comment to be so long and I know it’s been a minute since you’ve uploaded this, but I hope you found this useful!!
Also, I’m sorry you struggled with friends in college. Just came out of high school and I have no friends too : D
