I went on another boat but about the same time you guys did. We had more luck with the food but I agree that it were lacking and were plain.. I guess they aim to please the tourists so that they can eat everything.. but we had better tasting food on the streets of Hanoi. Our room however were great and the view is to die for. Some areas had much plastics but other areas were fine. As I've seen many videos I think it's almost the same thing on all the boats and they could step the food up overall. The buffé were good though -but I would have liked a station where you could fix dipping sauce. Overall however.. I think the trip were worth the ~300$ and I'm glad that we made it. Also fun that we talked alot with the crew and spent time with them on their downtime and ate some snacks and drinks. The service on our boat were on point and it makes my heart warm to see how the whole crew wave as you arrive and leaves.
Thank you for letting us know about your experience, very interesting etesting to hear. I agree with the food, we had much better around Vietnam overall, we thought it was quite poor on the boat for the amount of money you pay. The staff we really lovely though and we can't really fault them too much, they tried their best and that really shone through.
You should take the Emerald , Indochina or President cruises instead of that unknown M' Gloria cruise (It's the first time I heard of that company ) . According to what i saw in your video I would rate that cruise only 3* .
I would agree on the 3*. Everything was pretty much booked when we came to do ours, however we did leave it late. This was because we didn't not know where we would be at what time as we like to be spontaneous. We still enjoyed it, just not as good as we expected.
such a bummer it didn’t live up to 5 stars. I’m curious if that’s a typical “5 star” experience in that region? maybe we just expect different things coming from the US and UK?
That's what we wondered. However, having watched many videos in Ha Long Bay, from what we've seen there are far better 5* experiences on other cruises there.
Yeah the litter was quite shocking really, although we did expect it. But it still isn't good to see. One good thing about it is you do see the cruises taking a load of rubbish back to shore that they collect from the water, so at least something is starting to get done about it.

dying over Jacqui’s face at 02:55 - pretty sure she’s not enjoying whatever she just ate. i😂
🤣🤣 not actually sure what going on with her there 🤣
She did enjoy her Pancakes though, sat there filling her greedy mouth with them 🤣
She's just claimed it was a bit of fruit that was sour 🤣
that’s what Stephen guessed!

You've gotta make the most of it, though saying that, I don't know what you paid yet?!?! I may change my mind 😅
Yes, we reveal the price at the end of part 2, which should be out this Saturday.
so upsetting all the litter. we see it everywhere we go, and it just infuriates us.
