I think foxes are native to Europe. You may need to check protection laws or open season before hunting. In Australia, they were introduced and are an invasive species to the wildlife and livestock. I will say this, if my government allowed me to hunt foxes because they were invasive, geez Louise, I'd be in the fur business.

Tom I use to skin them all the time but I don't think I was that quick but then again I never really timed it. When we were doing a lot we would use a compressor air hose inserted into the back leg to lift the skin off the flesh. Not essential but it did speed up the process. We only scalp them now for the bounty but I do take the odd winter coat that is a standout. Queens birthday use to be the start of the skin season for us. Glad you enjoyed the video. I'll go out on a limb here and answer the second part of your question first. I don't think I would feel anything as I would be dead and if we have anything to do with it I can assure you it will be as close to instantaneous as possible. Far better than any poison which is an alternative often used when shooting isn't a viable option. Our aim when shooting any animal is a quick humane death.
Now to the first part of your question. In Australia the fox is an introduced species that if left unchecked will not only push many of our native animals to extinction but also impact our farming industry immensely. The impact of the fox in Australia has been and will continue to be horrendous if we make emotional decisions instead of basing them on facts. These facts have driven our government to the point that they realise how the recreational hunter can play a big part on saving our native wildlife and help our farming industry. If you want to educate yourself some more on the issue with the fox in Australia then here is a start. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_foxes_in_Australia

Thanks mate. The trumpet part of the whistle certainly breaks through different categories of tones depending how hard you blow. Certainly did the job though.

Sugiero hacer algunas investigaciones antes de hacer un juicio. La introducción del zorro en Australia ha tenido importantes ramificaciones ecológicas en las especies nativas

It always pays to read through previous comments before making assumptions especially when it comes to why fox numbers have to be controlled in Australia

Try hunting deer instead of foxes mate I like foxes tbh

We do hunt deer as our other videos show. Foxes being introduced and pushing many of our native animals to extinction need to be controlled. If you are a hunter or at least someone that can comprehend issues caused by introduced species I am sure you can understand this. Thanks for watching
