The truck handles it really well. I thought we would need Timbrens and we did not. As far as payload we took the truck to be weighted before we did our camper research. We chose this camper because it worked with our payload with extra room for loading, etc. I can't really speak on the mileage because we are always towing. I'm sure we lost a few miles.
