- We wake up in Harlech and make our way down to Llandanwg Beach where Maiximus talks me into a cold water swim in the sea. Once done we drive back into Snowdonia via Portmeirion and Porthmadog. It was the most summer like October day we have ever experienced :-)

loving your pronouniations guys. Great locations too which brought back happy memories of my old stomping grounds in North Wales. Impressed with your bravery in joining Maximus in the sea, Graham.....brave but very cold lol. Good support of Maximus's sensory needs there though. You are brilliant parents and I'm so proud of you.👏👏👏 that last location with the rushing water.... well you used enough words to describe what I thought watching the video lol.... oh and Graham, loving the inclusion of your photos. I took my d850 out for the first time in 12 months to Talacre in Wales yesterday for a sunrise shot and the legs of my carbon fibre tripod packed in and then the 24-70 decided not to focus. Happy Sunday Kenny, it was really cold that sea. I took the action down but forgot to switch over from the the polarising lens to the waterproof one, probably best as it stopped you having to listen to me cry as I first went in 🤣. Maximus loves it when I get in with him, my old bones can't take it like he can.
Glad you got out and about, 1 shot after having to fight all your equipment is still better than not being out :-). The photo opportunities all the way down that road are amazing, would love to spend a few days just setting up and waiting for the light. Sadly no time for that business so I capture what I can when I can.
Thanks as always for your continued support of our little adventures. Do you have any plans for any of the shows this year, we have never been and don't know how Maximus would cope with them. We may try one though and see. Just got to try and work it in around everything. Hoping to get over to Europe for the summer holidays, he loves the setups over in Germany and Austria. The big open pool and lakes, loads of space, waterslides. He talks about it a lot.
Anyway I am rambling away, enjoy the rest of Sunday and let us know if you have been or are planning any van festivals and which you think may be a goo starter for Maximus :-)
@@traveling-taylors I'm not one for shows myself, Graham. I get very tense when crowded in with lots of people. I also dont think much of the shows anyway unless you are dripping in money and can afford expensive gear. I do understand how difficult it is trying to do a passtime you enjoy when commitments make it impossible. For all the time we had our motorhome, I was a carer for my mum- got nothing in the way of help from family, so I was looking after her with her medical needs and my own to deal with (my back injury) I loved my photography but stopping somewhere in the van was not ok with mum's needs and if I didnt snatch a shot in a tenth of a second, it was not worth taking the camera out at all. If you do decide to go to a show, perhaps best during one of his respite days. I don't think he would cope. If he's owt like or Harley, it would upset him with the barging crowds etc. I am going to Santa pod for easter but taking a very long lens lol and I can always retreat back to the safety of Viv if needed. I'd recommend the road roamers group on facebook if you want a gentle meetup where its not vast crowds. I'm on there and have been to a few which were great and I think Maximus would handle well. Hopefully we will meet very soon and chat about photpgraphy and put the world to rights lol. I have very strong opinions on the poor state of support for autism based on personal family history so you can bet Id be saying a few things about supposed help organisations that dont.
