First tractors in the late ~1920s on our family farm was a Case and Fordson. I have a farm log from 1940 and both were still in use at that time. Later tractors were Ferguson (that I still have), AC, Oliver, Farmall. My father bought the same Case tractor he grew up with at an auction for a project but right after he passed my mother gave it to a neighbor who has used it as lawn art. My brother and I have those other tractors as projects. Ferguson I repaired and use regularly.

The big case Wheatland tractors, the original ones the L, LA,500& 600 tractors people still have an unabashed love for. The years have went & gone a long with some people but the memories & them tractors live on. My grandpa is 96& in assisted living. Mind is still good & he still talks about the LA& what it would pull

Way I see it, any classic tractor that can be be saved from the junkyard is a tractor that can have a new lease on life.

I've always had good luck loosening stuck nuts/bolts with a 50:50 mix of ATF and acetone.

What is the second fuel tank for? Just wondering as I have an old LA case in one of my sheds that belonged to my grandfather. I would like to restore it, it hasn't ran in over 50 years, but I was able to turn it over with the hand crank so it isn't locked up
