The Sith emblem would fit nicely on this dial. It just looked too damn good. SM made the changes I liked to see, three hands, no bling on the bracelet, clean bezel and added a ridiculously beautiful dial. So I pulled the trigger expecting to pay €240 with the €20 discount. But lo and behold, I pushed 'pay' and was confronted by a 'price adaptation' which resulted in me paying €198 for the watch. Can't wait to get my hands (wrist) on my first San Martin. Well I finally bought it. This one is calling me like a mermaid I couldn't resist. This unique red dial alone justify trying an hommage watch. Will be my first San Martin, maybe not the last if the quality is there.
@@ilikewatches And you base this estimate on what exactly? Jody‘s been secretive about the exact manufacturer of his watches, but rumor has it, it is none other than San Martin. Which is not at all unlikely given Jody‘s good relationship with them, the quality standards he is demanding from his manufacturer and the fact he is using the same clasp.

Well Gary, you win, this watch is absolutely stunning! I haven't liked a single GMT version of this watch you shared so far, they all look so sterile to me and so "tryhard and wannabe" even with beautiful dials. But this one, blimey! Honest to God, if I have not ordered Jody's Ascent, I would have bought this particular red version on the spot, to be my gada moving forward!

Its incredibly well finished and is gorgeous. I'm now only willing to buy something really special. I can now wait and save because I'm satisfied wearing this.
I love it! I bought a San Martin GMT watch because I liked the style and color. I thought it would be great to have the GMT movement but I don’t use it. My old tired eyes just can’t read the time from a single 24 hour hand. The hours maybe, but the minutes? Forget about it! A 3 hander is much preferred. Thanks, Gary!
The red looks good on this dial. I wonder if Proxima will offer it on their watches too. They offer a different movement than the NH35, which I am tired of. If SM could make the case smaller overall I would probably get one. Would look interesting next to my Proxima
Imma wait for the other version. The other one will have a decorated caseback. The only negative thing about san martin is their caseback. They need to embossed, etch, or put their shark logo on it instead of just leaving it blank.
That is an absolutely stunning watch! The dial is gorgeous.. I already have the white sand dune dial GMT SN0129, but I could be seriously tempted to pick up one of these. They really are next level. Slap the words “Swiss made” on the dial and you’d be talking well over a grand for their level of finishing.

Because in the video you mentioned it's around 205$ but both in AliExpress official store and in their website lowest price I see is 228$
It feels fine, not too chunky…I even show in my video the checkout screen and I’m not getting additional discounts, all I did was collected the AliExpress sale coupon and checked out.

At 1:11 the "burnt orange" one is actually brown. It's called "Brown Desert Texture". But we all see colour differently and fun fact: brown is for the most part, just a darker shade of orange. So what you said is either correct or incorrect, depending on one's personal point of view of what constitutes "orange". I only like warm colours like red, orange, yellow on dive watches. On this kind of watch I prefer the classic green or blue, and of course white or black.

Beautiful watch
If they do this dial in the 42mm, im in!
Should haved shrunk it a bit. I can forgive a GMT watch for being north of 12mm, but a 3 hander like this, they should have threw a PT5000 in it to make it thinner. Shame as its pretty nice otherwise
San Martin are the kings of reusing the same parts over and over to create new models. Sadly this includes movements too. NH34 and NH35 all over the place. That’s a shame.
Is that a gap on the edge of the dial at 2:31?
