I think Ali watches can cheaply give you the feeling or vibes of the grail watch on your wrist. They certainly will not replace the 'real deal', but are an excellent approximation of one.
As a pagani design owner, I agree. I have the gmt sprite homage and it is very well made. I wished I bought the NH35 version tho, woulda been close to perfection but I just got their own movement
People don't talk enough about how the NH35/36, etc have revolutionized the watch industry almost as much as when Seiko produced quartz watches. The NH movements combined with Covid is responsible for an explosion in watch modding and in microbrands. Seiko gave us a solid, reliable movement that anyone could use and everything advanced from there. A lot of great Microbrands started with and continue to use them. Seagull movements are also fantastic. Glad you gave us your pics, SO many watches on Aliexpress are tempting. In your experience, how does Addies compare to a brand like BERNY?
I build a lot of my watches as well as buying and can endorse your comment about the NH35. It's a rugged movement that can be regulated to better than 10 sec/day, usually much better, with no problem. It's a fallacy to think the hi-beat movements like the PT5000 are automatically better. IME they are no more accurate, and are more susceptible to shock failure.
@@julianb1474to add another perspective, while i love how NH34 democratize access to movement and build making, i personally have high hopes for Chinese manufacturer of movement, the way they did finishing just a lot above what Seiko did. I want to see more of them being featured.
I bought the Boderry Sea Turtle, and the titanium is finished very well, but the honey comb full dial lume just totally floored me, well worth the price 😎
Volume. Also, the other brands are charging too much. Labour cost is also quite cheap in China. That's not to say that facilities they are assembling these watches aren't top notch though. I've seen one of the assembly shops, they look every bit as clean and organised as a Swiss operation.
And there must be some basic building blocks parts, like cases, that are available in an unfinished state and then each manufacturer can finish to their requirements. SM spends more time on them, PD spends less. Same with casing the movements and even QC. Time is money.

Some great selections here mate. I recognise that picture of the San Martin SN0131G 😉 I've reviewed most of these. My favourite out of them is probably the SNO131G. It's the first watch that San Martin used the "chainmail" style bracelet on.
Honestly had no idea that it was your photo! Did you upload it to reddit? That's why I source my photos. This San Martin caught my eye because of your Instagram post actually. I need to get one in very soon
Yep! I like it because it's completely different. It looks vintage, but not because it's copying a vintage watch, because it genuinely looks like it's from a previous era
Excellent list. I recently bought a variation of the Sugess you showed which added a power reserve indicator at the 6 position. That is a feature I really like on a manual watch. edit, the model # is ST1906 and I'm wearing it now. Lovely watch.
Addiesdive gives me GS x Rolex vibes with a small (although very small) whiff of originality. I think it’s combined well. Have one in the mail, excited to put it on wrist. Great content as always mate
I like AE Homage watches. They’re inexpensive and generally reliable. Mine keep good time especially the San Martins, Pagani’s and the Sea-Gull watches. After buying an Omega and a Tudor Ranger Homage watch I purchased an authentic Omega Seamaster and a Tudor Ranger. Homages are fun and have areal purpose. Some AE watches such as some San Martins are getting in the price range of some micro brand watches although they’re just as good or even better than some micro brands. Especially those MB’s using the Japanese NH35 movements or the Megawuartz quartz movements. You can’t beat PD’s Omega homages or SM’s Tudor homages.
Great video once again. Lovely choices. I been wanting to get that addiesdive flieger for a long time. I just can't choose the black or green dial......And that SM Aquanaut homage is beautiful. I just don't know why SM mostly never put in a no date movement like the NH38. It would only cost then a few dollars more, but the clients would be happier and wouldn't mind paying a bit extra.
I agree mate. It's sloppy watchmaking. I don't know anyone who's genuinely happy about having a ghost date position! Like you say, it's around the same price too. Weird!
I'm puzzled by aliexpress listings. You click on one and then what appears to be the same watch is listed in the related section at different prices. But they might have different model numbers or some specs might vary.
Bought the addiesdive ad2030 white version for only 37 usd in a sale, and man is this a special looking watch for the price, one side note that the dial isnt perfectly white as the photos and videos show but in reality a very subtle warm tint is also there.
I might have to get that Boderry Ti field watch. I like a field watch with a 4 o'clock crown. It makes it comfortable when you bend your wrist back and reduces the possibilty of bumping the crown. And a field watch should have decent water resistance as well for all sorts of outdoor adventures. The lightweight case is just the icing on the cake. So right about the ghost date - *the* most annoying thing. That SM doesn’t use the NH38 instead puts me off even its more original designs. As for date window at 4 😩😩. The Pierre Paulin is very nice.

In my opinion, titanium watches don't feel cheap at all; rather, it's the luxury steel watches that sometimes come across as less premium. Modern watchmaking offers advanced materials like titanium and carbon, along with more reliable and accurate movements like high-accuracy quartz, which also are lighter. For example, a Pagani Design with a Seiko automatic movement feels heavy, similar to a luxury Swiss watch, but that's due to both using cheaper materials and traditional movements. On the other hand, a watch like "The Citizen" AQ4091-56E represents modern horology. It isn't cheap; it makes conscious choices in materials and movement to stand apart from the heavier watches, whether affordable or high-end. Although I don't have any actual clomages, I have to admit the whole clomage argument is starting to get to me. It's well known that Rolex shot to the top of the luxury watch brand hit list by basically copying Blancpain when creating their first legendary diver. Not to say that it's somehow frivolous, there's only so much you can do with the design of a watch. But at the end of the day, people annoyed by "clomages" are mainly people who refuse to accept they're on lists waiting to spend five figures for a status symbol that's, at the end of the day, just some good (but by no means otherworldly) craftsmanship and a lot of expensive marketing so suckers can get duped to wait to pay five figures for it...while others wear watches that look eerily similar with build quality that, even though clearly inferior, is by no means hundred times inferior. I'm beginning to view people with clomage watches as the more respectable bunch, when compared to buffoons on wait lists who can't get regular erections without pills anymore or just need something else to confirm their perception of success or give them a reaffirming, pathetic metaphorical pat on the back. I have one "homage" of a 1950's Rolex by Addiesdive, not because I would ever hint it's the real thing (hard to fake on a teacher's salary), but because swapped on a Milan links bracelet, it's like a movie prop which evokes a certain era and lifestyle. Great vid Kieron, I like an Ali watch but have only ever bought the really cheap ones. Once your up to £200 then you start getting mainstream options I feel. If you don't care if they stop working in less than a year buy them. Especially the Sugess ones are a nuclear hit or miss. And the costs pile up as you buy more, so the result in your pocket is the same. Hate on Seiko all you want, but it is 1000 times better than all the AliX brands.
Bro doesnt own a single watch on the list but decided to make a video recommending them for easy affiliate moneys. Bro they're cheap anyways, your video has 100k plus views, stop making assumptions and comment on stuff you've actually tested. Either that or you own the watches, but are too lazy to make b roll for your own video, which is still not acceptable. Shit like I'm sure the quality must be top notch just doesn't fly when you're a watcher review channel, even I can sit and speculate.
You focus too much on watches for men with girly wrists.. I'm a 7.5 inch wrist guy and do t wear anything under 42 mm...your channels are good but completely irrelevant for real men.
the 1st watch on this list the san martin is not just homaging from patek nautilus but the bezel round shape is heavily copied from many other watches e.g. seiko 1959 Alpinist Re-creation and some other microbrands

But why they dont come up with some good name? That Addiesdive is great watch for that price but what is that name eww. If it had only logo I would order every colour right now.
If you don't care if they stop working in less than a year buy them. Especially the Sugess ones are a nuclear hit or miss. And the costs pile up as you buy more, so the result in your pocket is the same. Hate on Seiko all you want, but it is 1000 times better than all the AliX brands.
I bought a fake moonswatch. Is that shameful?
Muhammad Ali wore a tiny Cartier Tank. You don't need a big watch to prove your masculinity.
Just say youre overweight
No.
Oooo dramatic
@@TopTierTicker not really mate, you asked a question and I answered it. In my option they’re shite watches🤷🏻♂
He obviously has worn them all. Let me guess timex is god tier, right!
@@KP-wp5sz I’ve never put on a Timex in my life and don’t plan to😂
the 1st watch on this list the san martin is not just homaging from patek nautilus but the bezel round shape is heavily copied from many other watches e.g. seiko 1959 Alpinist Re-creation and some other microbrands
The bezel very much reminds me of my Oris BC3 that I had. Super chunky, completely brushed! Still, it's a beauty 👌
