Only a Top 5 today because I have to leave some for later in the year. Mind you, there will probably be another dozen by then anyway! Some of the colourful models are now beginning to look pretty similar, so they may only be of interest if you don't have anything like it already. I just bought my first San Martin, the Tudor homage BB54, at 37mm. I try to keep a watch on my wrist for a week before going to my cache of 30-plus watches for a swap out, but usually I get bored and only last a few days before changing. This San Martin has been the only watch on my wrist for over two weeks. The size, legibility and ergonomics are just perfect... and this is my first adjust-on-the-fly bracelet. I can't believe that I've tolerated the old school pin and holes micro-adjustment that my other much more expensive name brand models have.
I'm glad that I tried San Martin.
I think I'm going go for this watch as my next watch. Is the bracelet female end links? I could cope with a male end link that doesn't stick out too far (I have Seiko mod watch of the explorer & didn't realise just how far the male end links would jut out. Much prefer the female end link. I have 6.25 inch wrist so small details with the size can make a pretty big difference to how it wears
@@travis3430 The end links are female. I have a 6 1/2 inch wrist and this watch drapes over the wrist very nicely. The adjust-on-the-fly micro adjustment feature really helps with the day-to-day variance in wrist size due to things like temperature or hydration. It is so simple and quick to adjust that it makes my other watches hard to tolerate because they need a tool to push in tiny pins through tiny holes while not letting the spring loaded pin to escape the housing.

Great selections and presentation. Anyone else wish that gigantic raised pimple of a logo was replaced by ‘San Martin’ in a font the size of the word Automatic at the bottom? I could never get used to that.

At arms length can you actually see/read the font? To me the applied index just looks like a white hexagon 95% of the time @@kyledriscollmusic

Hey Jody, I loved the orange turbine pilot so much, you inspired me to pull the trigger on the 39.5mm version! It's on sale for 11/11 at 44% off. This will be my second San Martin piece. I just can't say enough about the price/quality index that this company generates. I can see a line-up of San Martins in my future. Great t-shirt, by the way!!
I own the snowflake brown waffle and I must say it’s beautiful and better in the hand.
In the last sale I got myself a 9-DAO "Engineer" and it hasn't been a let down (just got it yesterday). San Martin has quite a few interesting offerings, but I don't buy watches with NH35s anymore. I prefer to spend a bit more and get a PT5000. The PT5000 is brilliant because you can swap in an SW200 if you ever feel like it (e.g. because you really like the watch).
I got one a few months ago the end links on mine are atrocious - so loose. Head of watch is amazing though
@@bifflee3603 That's disappointing. Did you send them a video or photos to show them the problem? It seems like they make a bigger effort with quality than your average manufacturer in China. I'm actually tempted to get another one w/ black MOP dial.
Oh dear, I think I may need to buy my first San Martin! That red dial is insane. And, let me be the voice of reason. A color matched date wheel is fine for black or white. Sometimes other colors, too. But I think for bold colors it looks tacky. Great choice by San Martin

The second watch is fire. For me I don’t mind the logo at all. I mean no different style than a Tudor. I think it’s classy
Just to point out the 119 and the 118 are slightly different. The 119 GMT is all polished with a polished mesh where the 118 is fully brushed with a brushed mesh bracelet. Also, the mesh by itself is $90 so it’s a very good deal just to get one of these, especially the 118, to get the mesh for your other watches.
If San Martin do a classically styled 34mm little dressy number... I'm in! 😅 Number 5 comes close to making me order right now!!!! It's a good thing that it's a little chunky, otherwise I would be seriously having to resist the urge.

Thanks for your great in depth reviews and help introducing me to San Martin! Much better bargain than the actual seiko's for the price. Have the og Seiko 5 gmt - orange dial, over a year use, the movement is solid then just picked up the San Martin SN005-B1 with BGW-9 lume as I only have C3 lume in my collection so had to switch it up. Sapphire lumed bezel too. The exact cosmetic upgrades Tudor would make to their BB GMT, the aluminum bezel was such a turn off for $5k plus, though it has a far superior movement. For under $500, this will do for sure. All the best from Canada. Cheers!
All great choices. I especially like the last one. To me , the case design looks a little like an aqua terra & the dial resembles an explorer. Really nice.

I’ve already got the SN0129 coming from the June 1-7 Summer Carnival sale ❤ that red dial grabbed me! It’ll be bumped out of regular rotation once my two Ascents arrive but it’ll fill the gap til then!
So-called "sale" prices are a little dubious since on the fourth watch at least it's the same as I paid about 4 weeks ago. Love it though. Blue dial/orange.

Or go to the much nicer script they use on their vintage diver. I cannot bring myself to buy a SM because I hate the logo so much.

San Martin can not go wrong with cases, dials or straps/bracelets! I just wish they’d help the guys out who like the high beat rate. So few of their watches since the NH35 crisis have come with anything but low beat rate movements. I think it would move them up to another notch if they included some Miyota 9 series watches. Jmho
Ill be honest, I have trouble paying over 250 usd for a watch with an NH35. Case finish is worth something but I dont know if its worth that much more to me than some other Chinese/micro brands. Just seems like a bit of a cheap out on a watch that doesnt look much different compared to a ~100 usd watch with more features.
Exactly how i feel there are just as good watches out there homages for far less ,steeldive berny grandmarlin addesdive.

Have StMartin rounded the corners on the 128's Hammerhead hour hand or squashed it slightly - it looks better than the TenPole version
My fav is 129 red dial but I have a big beef with it. The hands are too feminine in contrast with 3D indices. GSeiko knows how to 3d hands and make it more dominant to the indices. But hey it is only me. Thank you for your videos and thanks to San Martin for their latest titanium watches. I love them all. Does anyone know if SN0121T is a real SMartin or Smaller company taking advantage of the name. Cause I don't see it on official SM store.

Would've gone for the "Tudor", but the lume is C3 and the greenish hue doesn't suit the watch.

Love me a good San Martin. They really need to shorten that adjustable clasp though. It’s WAY too long. It’s longer than the watch heads are and looks really out of place.
That last San Martin has too wide of a bezel IMO. A thinner bezel with a larger dial would've been better like the Evo9 GSs, but I suppose that costs more money to develop

Kinda off topic but nasa recently announced a new time zone for the moon, have you ever wonder what will be the watch for a moon will be? Imagine the dial with arabic numeral have to accomodate a 1 moon day or 29.5 earths day? Seems like it will be easier with digital quartz? Will it just be moonphase? Will some watch company eventually manufacture moon time zone watches?
