      Thanks Tim. So this was completed in April/May of this year and now in almost November, no matter how dirty it gets, I just wash, dry s as of too with colour crush and it’s like the work was just done. The car is garage kept but it’s also my wife’s daily driver.

    Your car looks terrific man! I have used both the black and regular Hybrid Ceramics from TW extensively. I totally agree with how you use the product which btw is how the DIRECTIONS recommend. The 3 layers [polish followed by 2 apps of the spray] is a killer system. And, as recommended - 24 hour cure times, as for the damp cloth removal - I use that method for TW's Seal & Shine, Hybrid Ceramics and even the FLEX Graphene Spray. Use the damp micro-cloth for initial removal followed with an aggressive buff with the favorite fluffy and guaranteed excellent satisfying results EVERY time. Love your enthusiasm man - keep up the good work! Shine on you crazy diamonds!

    • @desiretodetail7591
      @desiretodetail7591  2 года назад +2

      Well, the Tucson has only had it done once so far, I’d say it only needs to be done once a year IF, it’s applied with the proper curing times between coats and regular maintenance washes are done once every two weeks.

    Are you using the damp cloth to apply the product or a dry cloth to apply and follow up with the camp cloth? Thanks

    • @desiretodetail7591
      @desiretodetail7591  2 года назад +2

      Hi John, I use a dry cloth to apply the product, then a damp cloth to even out the high spots once it’s “flashed” then a separate dry cloth to buff.

    I ruined the paint on my four year old Ford van using a “new and improved once a year car polish” ..They claimed that it was the once a year car polish. I wanted to take care of my truck so I used it, it was called “new finish quote in an orange bottle. I believe they still sell it ..
    A month after I had cleaned and polished mine then new finish, I noticed my paint looked dull. I ran my finger across the paint and the paint came off like chalk onto my finger. My paint was never the same.. in fact it was ruined.
    ever since, I have never used any hyped heavily advertised “new and improved once a year “type proteins or waxes on any of my vehicles. I learned my lesson. I only use carnuba wax , and I have not had a problem with the finish on my vehicles since..I had that van for a very very long time, and every time I looked at it I was reminded of how stupid I was to fall for a gimmick..
    A friend of mine that owns a collision shop gave me a small bottle of a clear liquid he said is a ceramic coating. He told me that little bottle that’s less than an ounce will do my whole ram crew cab pick up truck that I currently have. I took it but I am not going to use it. I paid more for this pick up truck than I did for my first house back in 1979.. that house was $49,900, my new truck was $51,400 in 2017..
    My last pick up truck with a 2008 GMC. I loaned it to my son to go camping. One of his tent poles put a tiny scratch in the door about 3 inches long, and only scratched the paint not the primer coat.. I did not even get excited. I told him just get it fixed no big deal.. he took it to the father of a close friend that owns a auto body shop. He told my son that he would do it for $2500 because you can’t just spot it will have to paint the whole side because of the color of the truck.. I told my son to forget it..I can’t imagine what a paint job that was ruined by some product would cost to repaint my ram pickup truck.. I am not taking a chance ..

      Irrational - ceramic products are perfectly safe and if you were gifted a bottle of the professional stuff, that's a generous friend. The real stuff can run 200.00 an ounce (they charge 500.00 and up for the service out in my neck of the woods). If your friend owns a collision shop,. ask him, if he knows his shit I guarantee you he will tell you your Ford van was a one off situation. Maybe you should have gone back to the dealer and tried for a paint warranty, sure sounds to me like they didn't prime or clear coat it properly.
      I've been using various products on all my vehicles over the years and never had an issue with paint destruction. In fact, the new ceramic coatings are almost as effective as those films they apply on the front of cars (which I've never liked). Except they cover the entire vehicle not just the nose.

      The other thing to realize her jody is that Turtle Wax is a very well know long standing brand. I’ve personally been using this brand in its various iterations for years, decades even and I stand by the brand and current product. Not trying to tell you you are wrong for your choice, but I’m glad for the ease of application and the result as well as the longevity of what I demonstrate here in my video. Sorry for your bad experience but to be fair, it wasn’t with Turtle Wax which is hardly one of the “next new” products to come out.

      right now in my garage on the shelf is Maguires, turtle wax, and Chemical Brothers or chemical guys brand carnuba regular plain ordinary wax..I know it only use that from time to time on my motorcycles but I always use that on my pick up truck, and my wife’s car, I even use it on some of my very old very valuable Gibson guitars. I have nothing against wax. It’s the new gimmicks that I don’t trust after damaging the entire paint surface on my ford van with a New Miracle Once A Year Car Polish..
      i also only use car wash detergent when washing my cars in my truck. Because things like dishwashing liquid have LYE in them.. Lye is extremely corrosive to aluminum ( wheels ).. any soap, shampoo, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent that burns your eyes, has lye in it.. why is the ingredient that makes soap feel so slimy and slippery.

      For black trim, I highly recommend Lithium trim cubes. The product stinks while applying so you will need to use a mask/respirator but the product renews black trim perfectly and it lasts for years. I just washed the Tucson today and the trim is still perfect. I can’t recommend this product enough. It’s not cheap, but well worth the money.
