    Never once mentioned the damp microfiber during buff off as Turtle Wax recommended to activate polymer acrylics in the polish.

    I was under the assumption that the polish needed 24 hours before you could apply the spray wax. Is this not the case?

    • @TurnerMobileDetailing
      @TurnerMobileDetailing  7 месяцев назад +1

      The instructions say to let "paint" cure for 24 hours... so I've never been able to find out what they mean by that, either fresh paint or the actual polish product. BUT, I have topped this stuff with the spray ceramic wax after only a few hours of polish cure time, and never had any issues in application or longevity.

    I’m going to be applying this set tomorrow, but was planning on doing a compound job with meguiars ultimate compound first. I’m a little confused on when/if I’ll need to use isopropyl alcohol between these three components. Any ideas?

      I would use the IPA wipe right before and after your compound stage. You want all residue off the paint before you compound (assuming you’ve iron deconed and clayed) and then after the compound you want any compound oils off the panel. Just make sure Megs ultimate compound doesn’t have any fillers. Remember that TW Black polish contains SiO2 and acrylic fillers so you don’t want anything on the panel from the compound getting in the way of that. So even if megs compound does have some fillers , which I don’t think it does) an IPA wipe after should remove them. Then after you polish with TW black polish DO NOT use IPA, just buff off and let it cure for the recommended time, then top with TW black wax. You should be good after that! 😉

      @@TurnerMobileDetailing I'm very pleased with out it turned out. This was my first detailing job, fixing up the surface of my first car, a 12 year old Toyota Corolla that has never been detailed. I used Meg's Ultimate Compound, Turtle Wax Black Acrylic Polish, and finished up with Turtle Wax Black Acrylic Ceramic Spray.
      It looks great! Here are some before and after pictures. The before pictures are after de-ironing and claying, but before any polish. Thanks for your advice, and this video which I used as a guide.

    Good review pal and just what needed.. ordered this and the ceramic spray to help with all my swirls, holograms and marring on my metallic black audi🤞. What pad would you recommend to use?

      Thanks man!! Since the polish is considered an All-in-one polish, I always use medium cut/medium polish pad. Typically these are orange, like an orange lake country pad, or the ones that I’m using in this video are orange Hex-Logic that chemical guys distribute. I’m a big fan of the hex-logic because they do a good job in dispersing heat from the surface.

      @@TurnerMobileDetailing sweet I grab some hex pads.. would you recommend this over something like meguiars ultimate range or HD speed.. only asking as I havent purchased items yet and want to get it right 1st time 😂

      @TurnerMobileDetailing  3 года назад +1

      @@stevenjackson9721 meguiars ultimate is a good line, not quite pro grade but good. Their detailer line is very good. I always keep a bottle of Meguiars D300 correction compound with me for light scratch and scuff removal, and it’s a great one step polish. Dispute it being a “compound” it finishes very nicely while using either a foam pad or microfiber pad. I would recommend an orange pad for that stuff too. I choose not to use HD Speed simply because the protection it leaves behind will only last a few months. That would be in the same category as the Turtle Wax Black ceramic acrylic polish. The difference is that the turtle wax has ceramics in it which will gave you about 6 months of protection, even more if the car is a garage queen. And it has black acrylic fillers which is what fills in deeper minor defects like swirls and scratches masking them and making them disappear (lighter defects it will remove). So if you have a black car, I’d totally recommend the turtle wax black ceramic acrylic line. For other color cars, the regular TW ceramic polish is a good solution for polishing and leaving behind some ceramic protection.

Look out for a video soon featuring my battery DA from dewalt, and Sonax perfect finish. I have a feeling once you polish your car, you’ll want to polish your other vehicles too, it’s addicting lol!
