I'm glad there is some sort of adapter available! Its a niche usecase, but I kinda have always wanted to connect a Raspberry Pi up to some video glasses and hack around with that, and since things like the nreal are transparent and light weight, they'd be perfect for the task.
Oh man... I've bought the XREAL AIR 2 pro and the BEAM few months ago, it was a very bad experience and it make those things become rubbish. This is actually what I need but not that rubbish BEAM. Thanks my hero. Liked and subscribed :)
I prefer the one by goovis. The power in is also usb c removing the need for a micro usb cable / adapter. It also uses an hdmi cable that is not permanently attached to the adapter. In my experience, built in cables attached to adapters are always the 1st part to become faulty, thus requiring replacing over time. Advantage of modular tech is that you can simply replace the part that's broken.
Does the Goovis adapter let sound come thru the glasses if its hooked to a gaming system? I've tried a couple different hdmi to usb-c adapters and while all will let the video thru, none let the sound thru.
No audio with the goovis unless you connect the glasses to nreal adapter then the nreal to the goovis via hdmi. The gofanco was my next attempted resolution but sold out everywhere. Only hdmi to dp available now
@Chris Araujo I can confirm the gofanco only does video. Though playstation and switch both have a workaround, PS you can route the sound thru the controller to a connected headset, and switch can do the same with a Bluetooth headset. It's not perfect but it's a decent temporary fix, that let's you not worry about a dying battery.
You may be able to daisy chain lightning-HDMI to hdmi-usbc. You would still need to power the HDMI-usbc adapter. Though I don't have that equipment to test.
No, because the lightning port on iphone and ipad only receive power they don't provide power so they can't power the glasses. Currently you need the nreal adapter + lightning to hdmi which connects to the nreal adapter
I tried looking for this adapter on Amazon and I found it but it literally says on Amazon that it won't work with AR glasses so.....idk if I should buy it are they lying?
@Coffee 'n Cards I tried connecting the gofanco adapter to my snes mini but it wouldn't connect Like the hdmi both connected and all the connections are in place but I don't get a connections.what is it that you think I'm doing wrong.
Does this really work? Not that I want to doubt the video or anything, but the description for the gofanco quite literally states it specifically doesnt support AR glasses on Amazon
Since compatibility can still be hit or miss between glasses brands and adapters, my guess is that the statement is there so they don't necessarily have to provide support when there are issues with AR glasses. But yes, this absolutely works.
Good question. That would depend on how your phone handles audio jack + USBC display out. My guess is yes, but ymmv. I just tested wired headphones with the redmagic adapter shown in a different video (my phone doesn't have an audio jack) and it worked for me.
Hi I recently bought a Gofanco adapter so I could play my Switch with my Nreal Air glasses but I couldn't make them catch the audio, can you please tell me how can I make the audio work? Thanks
I couldn't get switch audio to work through gofanco. I think some people have had success with SIIG, but that also seems hit or miss. Bluetooth will still work however.
in pc if you dont connect the usb to the pc you dont get audio im guessing maybe that usb is being used for audio and not all the devices can pass the audio trough usb.
Hold and press the volumen - button to make the audio works on your Glasses. Also you can use a bluetooth headphones connected to your switch to get sound as well
I'm playing around with the 3D SBS beta firmware now. I can confirm that SBS mode WILL work through the gofanco adapter + pc. But content must be in SBS format. I haven't had success running stereo 3d games from my ps4 though. Will try playing around with some settings and 3d movies in the coming days.
Yup. That adapter can't be charging and in use at the time. So adapters like this one in the video are great for permanent setups where you can stay plugged in. Also cheaper.
Yea, I've been checking periodically to see if it comes back but haven't seen it in stock again yet. You can try the Elebase adapter listed in the description, but I haven't personally tested it. Audio may not work with the gofanco/elebse, so be sure to use bluetooth headphones!
They will track where 'you' are looking. 'What do you look at' most often? 'What do you want to see?' How adept are you at staring? 😄 This is beneficial for industries but poses a threat to consumer privacy. Initially, they recorded audio through phones, then progressed to taking covert pictures from your devices, and subsequently started tracking your location. And now, they aim to track what you see. Essentially, they'll perceive the world through your eyes. Adding AI to this concept leads to a worrisome scenario: they'll render you entirely dependent on them, potentially impairing your ability to make decisions independently. Such ideas instill fear in me.
The nreal adapter is battery powered and cannot be charged and be used as an adapter at the same time. So your usage is capped at about 3 hours before needing to charge again. So not great for permanent setups or longer sessions. And at $60, it's 20-30 more expensive than the adapters listed in the description.
@@coffee_n_cards does nobody understand that nreal make their own adapter but for 3x the price and limitied 3 hours of usage?------ Some people really dont even bother doing some research lol..
1 and a half minutes LOADED with content!! You're truly one of us!!
Thanks!

I think I've seen at least one success story with a Raspberry Pi, would be neat to see that working.

Good points, that does look like a great option.
Thanks, was looking for a solution that wasn't the actual NReal adapter with a few hours of battery life.

Does this charge the glasses while you are using them also?
Is it possible to use a simple HDMI to Lightning adapter, to mirror iPhone/iPad?
You may be able to daisy chain lightning-HDMI to hdmi-usbc. You would still need to power the HDMI-usbc adapter. Though I don't have that equipment to test.

where did u buy the mouse and keyboard? I just find mouse and keybord blutooth with usb, not 'pure blutooth'
That would be the Keychron K3 and Logitech Pebble. I just added links for you in the video description.
Does it need to be an adapter that requires seperate power charge?
I tried looking for this adapter on Amazon and I found it but it literally says on Amazon that it won't work with AR glasses so.....idk if I should buy it are they lying?
It also said that when I bought. My guess is that it's not officially supported and they don't want to deal with having to provide support.
@Coffee 'n Cards I tried connecting the gofanco adapter to my snes mini but it wouldn't connect

Does this work for an iphone with the dvi/hdmi adapter but without the nreal adapter? Thanks for the vid!
I've read that it works, but don't have the phone/adapters to test.
Can you use these glasses connected to your phone simultaneously with wired headphones (with jack and USB C)
Good question. That would depend on how your phone handles audio jack + USBC display out. My guess is yes, but ymmv. I just tested wired headphones with the redmagic adapter shown in a different video (my phone doesn't have an audio jack) and it worked for me.

Hi those the adapter provided audio to the nreal air speaker when you connect it your PC. I hear it does not play audio only video
Personally I get video + audio from PC. Switch is video only.
@@coffee_n_cards Thanks

Appreciate the info!
do you think it would work for a Xbox 360?
My guess is yes, but haven't tried myself. May have issues with audio.
Will this work to use the windows nebula app for the multiple screens?
I haven't tried window nebula, but I wouldn't think so. With this configuration the glasses are purely receiving an HDMI signal.
Does the screen stay static move around when you move around?
Moves with you, ie it's locked to your view not the space. Using this way is purely an hdmi display, no ar or spatial features
U do know they have their own adapter with built-in powerbank
Yup. That adapter can't be charging and in use at the time. So adapters like this one in the video are great for permanent setups where you can stay plugged in. Also cheaper.
@@coffee_n_cards yeah makes sense just wanted to point that out.
does this work with the nebula app?
thank you,, this is what i want... monitor replacement
Do you know if you could use this to pair the glasses with a ps4?
I'm pretty sure it will work with PS4 through HDMI. I haven't tried it though
@@coffee_n_cards thanks. I just wanted to know before I bought it just in case
hey does any one know if that will work to see what my Nikon is seeing via HDMI? or what will work with a camera? thanks in advance
That's a really interesting use case! Unfortunately I don't have additional insight for you.
I bought the gofanco adapter cuz of this video and it doesn't work with my mini snes which uses a hdmi I don't understand why
Have you tried making sure it's powered. Also worked for me with a ps4
would one be able to play a 3D blu ray movie, from. a 3d blu ray player, in 3D?
I don't think so, but I haven't kept up to date with firmware updates.
Lol it's unavailable at the moment, but I want to use my switch with my glasses, so I'll try it out, thanks!

Oof, I'd rather only trust what you tried lol since you actually tested it, so I'll wait until it comes back into stock😁👍
@@coffee_n_cards hey man, so I got the adapter, i see the picture clearly ! But no sounds from my switch, any thoughts?
Does not work with the Switch or Pc has. No Audio. 😢
Do you get audio output
It's been a while since I've used this, but iirc audio does not come through for Switch. I forget about PC.
This work for Nintendo switch?
I've used it on Switch. No audio though I believe.
Does it brick the switch or does it run fine?
Only if the FPS was 60+ Id grab them
Don't need a monitor anymore!
Is it safe to use these glasses
Yup as safe as any other mainstream vr headset, which is to say very safe
Есть ли аналоги на aliexpress?
Microusb?!?

Nobody will give a shit about any of this until Apple releases theirs
Really looking forward to seeing Apple's approach and bringing it all more mainstream.
This looks extremly simular to delock 63251
