That's our saying here in KS also, "don't like the weather? Stick around 5 minutes it'll change!" Another beautiful journal! Makes you want to fall in a rabbit hole 😊.
Wow, wow, terrific job Cheryl! Love the scanning of your creations and reproducing and the photoshop postcard and other crations. Love the scuffing of the playing card and live the frontage and simmer and tea stain everywhere. Love the idea of almond extract because almond way more than vanilla extract. And thanks for giving Rita Donnelly some mention as the creator of the secret message pocket fold!
I do try and give credit where credit is due. Sometimes that's hard if you are getting the inspiration third and fourth hand. So I am happy that someone knew who it was. Thanks for watching
I adore your videos - thank you so much for sharing your processes, tips and tricks in your beautiful, mellow voice. I am having a bit of a binge watching older videos and had to laugh today at this one just a little; I'm in Australia and where you have the inflated Canadian prices, we have what we affectionately and with humour call the "Australia Tax'. Anything that comes from overseas (which is the majority of all products) is hugely inflated in price due to both logistics costs and the awareness that we just have to pay whatever is asked if we want the product. I almost cry when I hear about Michaels or Joann's (tee hee). Thanks again for all!
I do know what you mean. We pay so much because most things come from the US. Our dollar is pretty bad right now, so we pay that difference, then crazy shipping costs, and sometimes duty after the parcel is delivered. Sometimes it just isn't worth it.
Way to go Cheryl, beautiful Alice and tea journal !! You make my day when I see I have a you tube by you to watch, thanks so much for sharing . Rained all day here also 😀🌞!
I have been watching your videos off and on all day and every journal is so GREAT! This one is brilliant! I am also following your Tips series and want to thank you so much for all info. I feel as if I am learning so much! I must admit I felt tears on my cheeks when you spoke of your mother's health issues last year and was happy to read when she was doing better. I hope this is still true. I love your videos. You sound warm and friendly and are so clear with your instructions. Please forgive the length of my "comment" but just felt I needed to let you know how much joy you have brought to me. Thanks again!
I appreciate that so much. Mom is doing so so. Her memory has started to go, but I'm sure it's from all the falls she's taken. She says she's happy and content where she is, so I have to be content with that. Thanks for asking Patty.
I'm a newbie to all of this and so I have systematically Watched just about all of your videos. You have great ideas and present them in such a soothing way. It has inspired me to dive in and start working on my first journal . Thank you for taking the time to throughly explain all of your wonderful details.
So very adorable, you never cease to amaze me at how clever you are with all the ideas you come up with for your beautiful journals. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Gorgeous book, Cheryl, as always!! I'm at tge airport on my way back to Italy from the UK (York) and my luggage is full of ...guess with what? Not tea or fudge but stuff (flyers, tickets, receipts, etc.) for my "Yorkshire" junk journal!!! Thanks for the inspiration. You're an enabler!!! ;-) Tfs, Vittoria
I love the journal. It is so pretty. You really are the expert when it comes to any covers. They are always beautiful. Thank you for the tips about the Zutter covers. I've had several for a while and almost tossed them out. Maybe I'll try one after all.
Another fantastic journal! I love the colour combination and some of the ideas. I haven't been able to craft for a few weeks as I am away from home and I am getting withdrawal symptoms. Never mind, I am working on a hand stitched quilt for my daughter. I began it when she was around 2 years old and she is now 35. I am determined to finish it by this coming Christmas. Back to the journal though; your videos are inspirational and I really look forward to them. I really must investigate how to re size images, it would be so useful. Like a previous comment, I too would love to hold and feel one of your journals they look so tactile. Take care Cheryl I will be on the look out for your next video.
Thanks for sharing another lovely journal. I learn such a lot from you. I'm working on my second book. It will be full of my mum's vintage greeting cards from the 50's. I feel I am turning them into some thing of purpose.
Another beautiful journal filled with ideas and inspiration. I love your videos because you always fill them with so much information, you are easy to listen to, a natural teacher! Thank you ~ Julie
WOW! this is SOOO charming! i love it! and you give us so much information (you answered all MY questions!) so many ideas and tricks and how-to-fix-its!
It's raining cats & dogs here in Fl too. I like the Fran tage. I have the small assortment pkg. The larger bottles aren't on sale at Joanns. I'll wait for a sale. I finally got the Maya Gold. Your Journal came out awesome! TFS. Tere
Love it! I really want to do a cinch/bind it all journal. I may start putting papers together to do it. Maybe my next one. I love Alice journals too. Great job. TFS
Cheryl....... I can hear you telling me to just playaround a bit to see what happens. Haven't gotten my first journal done yet...but with your encouragement...I know it will be soon. Its great to add to my knowledge through your experiences. Pinterest is so much fun now that I know what to do with it....Still not quite got the hang of sizing a whole digikit page on the CraftArtist program. It seems I click and drag ,reclick and drag same part over alot (not 2 images...but 1 full page. Spent the whole afternoon trying to get it place correctly....self learning computer people.... GOTTA LOVE EM!!!! always a treat...Laurel
☺That pretty much sounds like I started Laurel. I crashed a few computers in my day lol. Used to drive my brother crazy as he was the one I would call to fix it.
Fabulous Cheryl!!!!!!! I have received my TH dragonfly FINALLY!!!! and Maya gold, waiting now on my Frontage I ordered along with some other goodies!!! My next journal is going to be for me to keep track of all the "goodies" I want from watching RUclips video's and also to jot ideas, etc.....because I have to many notebooks and little pieces of paper where I take notes and then can't keep track....so if I make myself a journal, I may be more apt to keep track of it all better.
This is beautiful! I'm really inspired by you so seeing one of my favourite childhood books made into a journal is super awesome :) Keep up the great work!
You are awesome! I love your videos. After watching this video and the Sherlock Holmes video I had to smash that sub button. LOL I love your style. You rock ! :D
The pages are applied differently! How does that work! Sorry! I seem to want to know a lot! Lol. Inquiring minds want to know! ❤️🤪❤️you are so sweet. Thank you. Xxx
Hi Cheryl. Love this!!! Another Masterpiece, well done. Can you tell me the brand name of your Maya Gold? I've been looking for it everywhere and can't seem to find it. Maybe I've been looking for it in the wrong places, like in the oil painting sections, and where they sell acrylic paints. I love the idea of cutting the cup in the center to stick journaling tags in. Please, please keep sharing your videos with us, you do such a wonderful job. Thanks ever so much, D.
I'm a newbie and love how you speak to all craft levels with your videos :) Can you share what type of paper you are printing the printables on? Specifically your pages? I've read matte photo paper is good...but do you use an inkjet or laser as well? Thank you for sharing so many helpful videos. I'm making my way through your collection lol!
This is so lovely. TFS. I have tried using the frantage on my dragonfly. It's lovely. I have a feeling you have 2 sizzix butterfly dies. Do you get more use out of your big sizzix butterfly or the butterfly duo die?
I actually only own the duo. Someone sent me a few of the large one. I still think I would use the duo more, and for those times I want something bigger I would use the dragonfly
I LOVE all of your videos - your work is beyond gorgeous and I get a lot of great ideas from you so thank you for that. Also do you sell your journals???? I would love to purchase one or more of them.... :}
That's our saying here in KS also, "don't like the weather? Stick around 5 minutes it'll change!" Another beautiful journal! Makes you want to fall in a rabbit hole 😊.
For us. it's because of the Rockie Mountains. Very changeable
