Ok. I went down a bit of a rabbit hole here and watched dozens of other handpan covers. It's not just the talent and creativity, but it is the HOURS he must have put in on experimentation, adaptation, drill and practice to make this work. His arrangement, fills and blend of percussion with the melody is unmatched in anything I can find. I for one am glad you're not a pro handpan player because this is so much more. Bravo.

@gutterg0d he's not though. It's copyywritted material. If money is made, it goes to the person who owns the rights. In this case SOAD, their studio, or whoever owns the song. If he made money from it, it would be illegal. That's why he pushes his classes and merch.... where he can make money.

Even disregarding all that, doing things for promotional purposes is also professional work. Being a professional just means you're doing it to make a living. The only argument against him being a professional in this case is that he's not regularly making money of the handpan, which while I don't entirely agree with it, is an opinion I don't have a problem to accept.
