    This is the only guard my professor plays. He’s a big guy so it’s mostly top game but if he wants to play guard this is all he does. Reaches for the collar and does what Pr Gustavin is showing. Such a strong sitting guard position with 1 arm back on the mat. I think this position is called a seated split butterfly.

    Margarida Fernando pontes played this guard and wrecked everybody. I love this guard. Play this when nothing else is working.

    I really like these lessons on conceptual topics like this. What do you think of making this kind of video on applying pressure when guard passing? My professor says to use "pressure and angles" to pass, rather than some very specific type of guard pass, but I dont totally understand how to apply this. Just an idea.
