She is cruise ready and capable of living OFF-GRID for as long as you want with 1855 watts of solar, 1200 amps of Battleborn LiFePO4 lithium deep cycle batteries, and a new 40 GPH Seawater Pro water maker. After a significant amount of upgrades, our family of 6 has lived aboard Bacaruda for 2 years cruising the Florida Keys and Bahamas.
Listed on Yachtworld for $279,000 www.yachtworld... or email Mike with questions: masters514@gmail.com
Bacaruda has 3 staterooms capable of sleeping 7 adults comfortable plus additional sleeping spaces for at least 3 more using the pilothouse and salon settees. She comes with all new Simrad electronics including brand new AP44 autopilot, EVO3s chartplotters, radar, digital VHF with AIS, and cell/wifi signal extenders. She has had her fuel tanks replaced and the old teak decks removed, subdecks repaired, and new faux teak installed. Bacaruda is a one of kind ship with significant upgrades. Most importantly she comes with NAIAD stabilizers, which have been almost completely rebuilt, and they work amazing! We will never buy a boat without them!
She is capable of cruising up to 1600 miles with her 840 gallon fuel tanks at around 7.5 knots. She is powered by twin Ford Lehman 120s which have been well cared for with 1100 hours after a complete rebuild. All her plumbing is new including ALL blackwater, freshwater, bilge hoses, new heads, and an Acuva fresh water UV filter installed for drinking water. She has a brand new 43 gallon blackwater holding tank and a Purasan EX sanitation system installed, so no worries about dumping overboard illegally. The list goes on. Thanks 😊
What a wonderful boat, thanks for letting me live vicariously thru your video, I would kill for a boat like that!
I don't get impressed all that often, but I can say WOW!!,Im just blown away with what ya'll have done with this beautiful boat. So Jealous 😍
Thank you! 😊
Gorgeous boat with great upgrades.
Thank you so much!!
That's a decent price for sure. We had the exact same yacht that we sold last year for $299,000. Great memories watching this vid :)
Thank you! Where was your Mark 1? I know most are in the PNW.
@@zombiescantswim7371 We bought it in Hong Kong and sailed it to our place in the Philippines and used it island hopping for a few years and then sold it to an Australian couple that was using it as a liveaboard in the Philippines...
Can c it costing alot soon
Yes, it was a Mark 1 :)@@zombiescantswim7371
❤❤
You need to get Simrad to sponsor your videos! You bought enough of their equip,
Love that idea!!
Was looking at this a few times on YW but ladder only to flybridge is a deal breaker for me and having dogs on board. GLWS
Some of the OA’s of this make have the extra interior staircase from the Pilothouse to the flybridge. I mean it’s possible to add…. We watched our boat buddies so it for their dogs 😂 Anything is possible with a boat 😂 Good luck on your hunt!
Wow, you put your heart and soul into this boat. Why are you selling her?
Yes. Yes we did. We thought we would be living on her for longer…. But our kids want to go to brick and mortar school and be with their friends. Selling her because we did all this work and she needs to be run! It’s killing us to see here just sit at the dock. She needs to be living off grid at anchor!
Great presentation. I would love to buy it but I don't know where to park it.
Thanks! We have a dock where she’s parked now. Whoever buys it is welcome to lease the dock space for awhile until they are able to move it or until we decide to get another boat (which might be awhile) 😊
What are y'all gonna do next?
Larger boat?
Kids wanted to go back to school. So we’re doing land life for a while.
@@zombiescantswim7371 I understand...you've made such a beautiful home on Bacaruda..hard to leave.
Just found your channel. I like what I've wacht so far a lot, lol. Is your boat still available, or did it sell.
We still have her! You interested ???
Is it not sold already? I LOVE IT
Nope. Not yet! Still available if your interested!!
Which I was your best friend.

The 21 feet of bridge clearance, is that from the top of the roof of the fly-bridge? if so, can that roof be lowered?
Yes, but that is just an estimate. I haven’t actually measured it but since I’ve received a couple questions on it, I will go measure today and let you know. I know anything over 19.5’ takes the loop out. You can definitely chop at least a foot off the aluminum top. There is more than enough headroom.
I just measured and it’s exactly 20’ from the water line to the solar panel. The solar panels add about 10.5”. It’s certainly possible to remove the solar cage or even cut it down 6 inches. It’s held on to the aluminum top with 8 U-bolts.
@@zombiescantswim7371 Thanks so much
@@zombiescantswim7371 I know this is an old video, but it's new to me.
We just started looking for a family boat that can do the loop. Finding it very hard to find a 3 cabin boat that is under 19'.
Lots of boats in the 20-21' range.
@@mortcog4767 yes we had a hard time finding a 3 cabin boat to fit our family. Our boat has done the loop. It would be very easy to lower the solar panels and/or modify the fly bridge cage to get under that bridge. Good luck in your search! Let us know if you want to tour ours… or want to ask any questions about our experience.

Off-Grid Yacht as opposed to an On-Grid yacht? How many On-Grid yachts do you think there may be out there?
I mean… we think any yacht plugged in to a marina would be considered “on-grid”? Am I right? 😬
@@zombiescantswim7371 So yours does not plug into a marina...ever? Conversely, any yacht not plugged into shore power is Off-Grid. So yours is no different than any other. Seems silly to specifically call it Off-Grid considering the reality.
