2020 was a crazy year. Our lives (like so many others) were completely uprooted in 2020 & our outlook on what is important in life has dramatically changed.
Prior to 2020 as a family of 6... work, school, sports, scheduling, volunteering, events , etc. had us running from one side of our days to the other. Which we can now see left us exhausted, short tempered, stressed & finding only snippets of joy in our days. Our family was on the brink of collapse.
Then 2020 happened. The stress and anxiety initially shifted to the pandemic, social justice, & keeping our family safe.
And then... something magical happened. We came to realize the COST all of those external pressures & stresses had on our family. We became easier with each other, our bikes got dusted off and used every day, we hugged & snuggled & loved each other better.
We came to understand 'living' differently.
We are adventure people & the time for adventure is now... so we are headed out to sea... bc Zombies Can't Swim.

Pilothouse Confessions: Welp. We're selling the boat :(
It's been almost a year since we parked the boat in our backyard to let the kids go to school and live in our 'real house'. The kids are really happy to be living back on land and have expressed a strong opinions to stay in school with their friends. So we've made the incredibly hard decision to sell our beloved Bacaruda.
