@AfrikanHairGod I've definitely realized while watching curly cuts that if a curl is already in the so called desired shape the stylist skips over it and cuts the pieces hanging out, leaving some ends fresh and most not, resulting in this. Where as in your way EVERY end is being taken care of! It's annoying when they say but my curls aren't even, no but your ends should be regardless if there is shrinkage in more areas or not!
I went to the original post to actually believe this, and I found a whole debate going on in the comment section. I even understand that not all of us will have the most healthy hair in the world, if your good with your hair, well ok then. I think the cut is the least of her problems. That hair is STRAW. Not everyone can go so light or use strong lifters. Her hair looks fine and low density. Needs to be babied. My daughter has 3b,I have 4b(per the typing BS). I have refused a curly cut for both of us cause it made ZERO sense from a practical standpoint so we going to cut our hair "curly" when our curly state is never even the same depending on the dam time of day. Keep keeping it real!
I guess I’m fortunate in that my stylist goes thru and cuts what needs to be cut, washes, styles and then shapes my hair. Since this has been popping up I just dried and straightened my own hair have about 1/2 inch that needs to be trimmed which is normal for me after going 5 months no trimming. Pray each person finds a good stylist that will take care of their hair health as well as styling.
I got my curly haircut like three times already. After the second time i was so confused I’m like why is it so hard to brush through my hair and i just got a trim. Third time it happened again. Within a month I’m seeing split ends down my hair shaft. I’m going to get my hair blown out and trimmed and do this the regular way. I think curly cuts are good for shaping your hair. @@AfrikanHairGod Hoping there's not too much damage done. Your timing on these videos are great. I had a feeling something wasn't right with my hair and these cuts and your expertise confirmed it.
I have high porosity hair and breakage is my bestie lol. I did this bleaching when I was 17 and gave myself a perm a couple months later. Used a regular instead if a mild and fried my shit. I have never used a chemical since then. I just cut it
The last time I cut my near waist length hair was 2020. I cut it about 6 inches below my ears and it's back to waist length. I NEVER go to salons for anything. Waste of time and money.
@@AfrikanHairGod I was tired of it and I cut it myself. I was quite happy with the results. I only use my products and rarely cut or trim my hair. I use no heat, chemicals or tight braids. I'm seriously thinking of cutting it to about 2 inches because I'm getting tired of it again.
The “Diva Cut” is the best cutting method to maintain normally naturally curly styled hair. It takes into account that the coils are different throughout the hair and shrinkage varies throughout (not going to be even when straight; not a curly characteristic). There are some of RUclips videos…. I have found Bianca Renee’s videos to typically be the best. #CurlyGirlLife #Straight1xInPast5yrs
And it's bleached to death been there done that it's dead hair that needs to go.... No need to hold on to that mess just to say my hair is to my shoulders🤷🏾♀️
The bleach is what caught my attention. Between that and the curly cut (missing those splits) that lady needs a haircut, not a trim. And that bleach (high lift) is also a big culprit in the client's hair issues. Her hair looks damaged 💔
Question: i big chopped a year and 2 months ago. My hair has not been blown out and is very thick. Would you say I still needed to trim/cut or leave it alone? Thanks for sharing all your good wisdom
Also why finding quality stylist is difficult. We aren’t even in the same ball park in understanding healthy hair much less what accounts for trimming, cutting, good technique. Not to mention creating a pathway for whatever your hair goals may be or should be.
Yes a cut should ensure your hair ends stay a little healthier for longer. It could be the color caused damaged as well but from the way I see them do the curly cut the hair is cut in a haphazard manner and it makes it harder to get rid of the overall damage evenly
So how do I find a good salon for hair cuts? It’s hard to make a decision when all the instas are focused on beautifying and not the maintenance of hair at least not where I’m at. Help!!! 🥺

Keep sharing facts sir! ❤️👏

Hello, I don't believe it's only because of curly cuts that the hair is in this condition. It could be the dye, products, heat/flat iron, etc.
Yeah this us not the best example for a claim against curly cuts. There's clearly other issues going on, starting with that color on the ends, and what looks like thinning/balding at the roots. I know this is just a short, but I need to see it in otherwise healthy hair.
@Msboochie2 you can see the full discussion of the client's account that corroborates what I'm saying here. Yall don't know what yall are looking at and just want to blame color but I've been doing corrective curly cuts long enough to know what this is, especially when the stylist is doing the hair regularly. ruclips.net/user/livecHmkm6vA0s0?feature=share
These people call themselves professionals and can’t see that this is a lot of damage 😅. The middle to the ends of hair also looks dry/brittle but yeah sure, it’s “even”.
Especially when your not being rude or mean, just politely honest.
My daughter has 3b,I have 4b(per the typing BS). I have refused a curly cut for both of us cause it made ZERO sense from a practical standpoint so we going to cut our hair "curly" when our curly state is never even the same depending on the dam time of day. Keep keeping it real!
It’s giving… I need a bob cut to the neck 😢
😂tickling the shoulders
Truth 🎉Thank you 🎉
I guess I’m fortunate in that my stylist goes thru and cuts what needs to be cut, washes, styles and then shapes my hair. Since this has been popping up I just dried and straightened my own hair have about 1/2 inch that needs to be trimmed which is normal for me after going 5 months no trimming. Pray each person finds a good stylist that will take care of their hair health as well as styling.
Time for a big chop!
But as maintenance trimming it doesn’t do the job
Sorry to hear that. I hope your can get your hair back on track
@@AfrikanHairGod Hoping there's not too much damage done. Your timing on these videos are great. I had a feeling something wasn't right with my hair and these cuts and your expertise confirmed it.
Yes , and maybe it's the products that's been used on her hair. From what I've learned from stylist is it's good to change products that's used.
I have high porosity hair and breakage is my bestie lol. I did this bleaching when I was 17 and gave myself a perm a couple months later. Used a regular instead if a mild and fried my shit. I have never used a chemical since then. I just cut it
Torn up indeed.
Preach my friend ❤
I wish I could share my pics with you lol
Damn, her ends are tore up!
Not only is it uneven but the split ends are going to require a really drastic big chop of a cut. That’s no good. ☹️
The last time I cut my near waist length hair was 2020. I cut it about 6 inches below my ears and it's back to waist length. I NEVER go to salons for anything. Waste of time and money.
Did your hair need the cut? Did the stylist discuss what they were cutting beforehand?

@@apivotalmove6746 it's a choppy hot mess that thins out your ends. Curly cuts are gimmicky. It's also not a cut that's specialized for afro hair
Absolutely!
And it's bleached to death been there done that it's dead hair that needs to go.... No need to hold on to that mess just to say my hair is to my shoulders🤷🏾♀️
She don't drink enough WATER! also.... he is absolutely RIGHT!!!!
I believe the color contributes to the damages
He said this is her hair stretched…..barely touching the shoulder 🗣️😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I’m screaming I hate little hair
Wow yes and I dont think the bleaching is helping any either wow. The part wiithout the coloring looks great tho.
Sis let it go!!!!!
I've had a full head of bleach twice this year and my ends don't look anything like this. She took fryed & dyed to a new level.
Also why finding quality stylist is difficult. We aren’t even in the same ball park in understanding healthy hair much less what accounts for trimming, cutting, good technique.
Not to mention creating a pathway for whatever your hair goals may be or should be.
Yep I See The Damage.
Yes a cut should ensure your hair ends stay a little healthier for longer. It could be the color caused damaged as well but from the way I see them do the curly cut the hair is cut in a haphazard manner and it makes it harder to get rid of the overall damage evenly
😂😂😂😂 whew child what in the world!!!
I never heard of a curly cut lawd ham mercy
It's the color!!!. It happened to me, I had to cut lots of mine.
Check the pinned comment. It's not just the color
I knew it! Silk me out before u even think about those sheers
I always tell clients that you wouldn't build a house on a cracked foundation and they so no, the analogy is the same. The trim becomes a haircut.
I'm here to have a real conversation!!!! Health is Wealth!! Let's talk about it//😉
The song choice sent me. There’s nothing lovely about this hair 😩
So how do I find a good salon for hair cuts? It’s hard to make a decision when all the instas are focused on beautifying and not the maintenance of hair at least not where I’m at. Help!!! 🥺
After the trim what are you recommendations for a hair regimen?
