your reaction to “i’m breaking down” was everything! Stephanie J. Block does an amazing job at putting in all the emotions in the right spots and using her hands and body language to further show the emotion she’s trying to capture.
No yur right. I’ve always felt William Finn made music the most similar to Sondheim than really anyone else I’ve ever heard. You should check out 25th annual Putnam county spelling bee!!! It’s amazingly wholesome and funny and crazy clever. My fave musical PLSS check it out😊😊
If you like the guy who played Marvin, you might like Legally Blonde the Musical. I will say, I am a huge Sondheim fan. Maybe I like this so much for similar reasons..
It's really cool to see your perspective in this reaction because I primarily focus on breaking down lyrics. I would never notice a lot of the things you point out
Your reaction is so much fun! Love your thoughts and insights to the music and the singing, and of course the praising of Stepahnie J. Block because we can never praise her enough. I feel like you would probably like Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, it's also quite wacky and has some really interesting choice of music imo.
I saw this production on Broadway, and also saw the original cast when they came out with the original production to L.A. I hope you'll be reacting to the rest of the show. It goes in a VERY different direction, and I think once you see where it goes, a lot of your questions about "how does this all fit together" will be answered. I think it's a GREAT musical.

I came to part 2 just to see your reaction to Jason’s next line. 😂
"Oh god don't see your dad's psychiatrist" I'm waiting for the disappointment
WAITTT I JUST NOTICED THE CAPTIONS ON THE MUSICAL AND THEY ARE SO WRONG

Or Something Rotten (for Christian Borle)!!!
tldr; stephanie j block is incredibly talented and amazing
Please please PLEASE do Hadestown. It's incredible music-wise, story-wise, and theme-wise.

If you ever have the time/opportunity, try listening to the Beetlejuice musical! It’s really fun and quirky and it does fit the season 😬
@@Seneca_5 I’ve seen it on Broadway a couple times :) Amazing show!!
