the old lady is eveline. her body deteriorates rapidly, and her victims likely experience something similar as evident by the coloration wrinkling and aging in general of their bodies in the main game compared here.

This DLC gives a lot more light on how sad Resident Evil 7's story actually is..
Think about Evie, E-001. She was a bio organic weapon created in the image of a 10 year old girl, then given 2 handlers, Mia and (guy on the ship and seriously can't remember his name..) to pretend to be her mother and father in an attempt to keep her "family" obsession under control. Evie learns of this and goes insane and starts creating "friends" (you can see in certain notes it's believed this obsession with a family was programmed into her which is even more sad) which without her treatments to stabilize her, the more she brings into her organic botnet the weaker she becomes which causes her to age rapidly ..slowly towards her own demise. At the end she screams "why does everyone hate me" as she dies. This shows that Evie's entire consciousness (not knowing right from wrong considering she was just created not raised) has been that of a lonely 10 year old girl who just wanted someone to love her and being unable to differentiate right and wrong with her reactions to the constant rejection.
Then she is found by Jack who shows her compassion and then takes her back to their home where she is shown exactly what a family should be. Knowing of her powers, she knows she can take control of this family offering her "gift" which takes over their consciousness and creating the reality which she prefers. The end of the DLC here shows everyone still apparently normal, being all Evie really wants. The rage and violence only comes from resistance it seems and from not really knowing that this pyschotic behavior isn't right. That's just all really tragic and eerie to me.
(Unrelated, someone said something about Lucas only tricking Evie and just being naturally pyschotic. I think that's right and wrong. He is definitely a lunatic. but still is infected since he has regeneration. I think his manipulation is similar to Mia's since he kisses her ass (unlike Jack and Marg who were resisting her gift) ..so Eevie favors them.

Lucas actually is insane. But not to the extent we see him. It was explained that he was always a little crazy, but like how a kid would be. After Evie took him over, and he took the serum to make her stop, the effects still remained. That makes him probably the most dangerous Baker ever.
Rusty is Evelin , it says in the outro , Evelin's body quickly deteriorates ..
You also learn that that's the case in the main story if you read any of the notes.

Yes, Eveline is both the little girl and old lady. She was born in 2014 but was artificially aged into a 10-year old child. Then 3 years old, she looks like an 80-year old woman. It was explained in the documents in the main game sometime before the Eveline fight that Eveline was appearing older, getting gray hair. So yeah, she ages a lot faster than a normal human at a much higher rate.

TDPNeji If I remember right its because the virus is mutating her metabolism she regurgitates zombie followers and spreads it like a halluciogenic fungal infection bit because she herself produces it her metabolism can't take the strain and it starts to quickly age her as it spreads
And shes 80+ in that time and eveline the kid is showing in hallucinations
Its weird because in the vanilla game it makes it seem its a gradual process for instance in the memories of her jack seems so normal while in this little part it seems jack turned crazy as soon as she turned up another part of this you can see in the mothers diary where she writes a lot about eviline and she only writes that she has bin given a gift 3 days after the little girl was in the house. (Sorry my English is not the best)

Aunt rhody is a children song that was remixed for the game, it has nothing to do with the story
The Fox Laboratory actually they remixed the song so it would tell the story of evaline and why she's so messed up when the song referes to being raised in a deep dark hole it's talking about her being raised as a little girl who (if she had parents) she could never go back to them because she was tested on so Mia winters company could make a bio weapon so she thinks that Mia and Ethan are her parents and switches thinking her real family is the bakers

The old lady in the wheel chair IS Evelyn, her body aged very rapidly because the process of infecting her with the spore wasn't yet perfected. If she doesn't take the supresants that Mia was supposed to give her she looses control and ages VERY rapidly

Yes. Eveline is "Rusty". This could be read in a note towards the end. What I don't get though is, when was Mia infected really? Could she resist it better than the others? Or did she not get the "Gift" straight away as she seemed "normal" when Ethan came to rescue her, 3 YEARS AFTER! And why was she kept locked in, in the basement when Ethan found her, instead of being with the rest of the family. Am I missing something?

Xalotha there's a note that talks about Eveline's caretakers receiving some sort of injection. Maybe it's a result of that.
She was infected when she was on the ship, just before it sank. My only theory on why she has more control of the infection is because Eveline likes Mia a lot more.

"Aunt Rhody" is Eveline.. I guess you didn't pay attention to the small nods in that direction from the notes and stuff scattered around, but it becomes pretty obvious when she turns into the old lady after getting injected. I don't know how you missed that.

I'm sorry but your constant confusion and misunderstanding of everything in this DLC makes me wonder if you pay attention when you play video games in general... I mean... Christ... the intro to RE 7 states that it took place in the outskirts of Louisiana... Not once is there a mention of Aunt Rhody anywhere in the game whether main game or DLC because its simply a folk song from the 1950s... x.x

What I don't understand is the body that Ethan finds in Evies room, where he pulled the arm out from its socket to make the serum. What is that and how did it get there? I always thought that was Evies body, but Evie is Rusty????

Kris Jordan Evie was an experiment. Fifth generation, A being 1st E being her. D series was the generation before her. It's body was used for the cure and Mia brought it with her and I'm assuming the family hid it when directed to by Evie. Zoe got the head before it was hidden however.

when you talk to jack is a flashback to when you get your hand stapled back together. evelines not near him so she doesnt have complete control, thats why zoes there and you hear her talk when your hand is stapled back on.

It's truly heartbreaking, seeing them before Evie turned them into psychopaths, minus Lucas. We all know he was gone way before Evie. :( They seem so caring. I love that you're playing this. This is the dlc I have been looking forward to the most!

At the end of the game's credits it says that without treatment Eveline's body ages 25 times faster than normal. After she escaped Mia and Alan on the boat and acquainted with the baker's she started aging abnormally. When Ethan arrived 3 years later, Evie looked 10 + (25 x 3) = 85 years old.
If you read one of the notes in the salt mines is says side effects if the bio weapon cause rapid aging like graying hair and wrinkling ect

I think the whole turning process is faster in this DLC then told in the main game as one can find certain files in main game that makes both Margurite question her mental situation after meeting that girl(Eveline) etc. So I think this DLC just speeded up the process somewhat..?

Rusty or "aunt rhody" IS Eveline. her body deteriorated so she looked like an old woman. you even find a photo in the basement of the guest house labeled E-001 which is the same code word for Eveline on the reverse side of the old woman's photo.

I'm pretty sure it's because Evaline's Body was deteriorating so it turned into the grandma's body but she used the hallucinations to look like a little girl

Aunt Rhody isn't an actual person in the game. "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" is a song by Burl Ives, and is an American folk song from the 18th century. It's also a little song that young musicians are taught in one of Suzuki's first song books. The RE7 version of the song is way different than the original. Just thought you'd like to know. :)

There was a file in the lab during the main game that said (in complicated words) that Eveline's body deteriorates without a specific serum/treatment and at the end of this that "Eveline's body deteriorates as the months go by". So Eveline is actually the grandma that you see in the main game and Aunt Rhody is just a name (I guess?) that the singer sang at the end of the game, just because I guess lol

Yes grandma is Eveline. She's a bio weapon, created in a lab so she most likely wouldn't age normally. So at least a year or 2 after Eveline infected the Bakers she started to age rapidly. Hence Lucas' letter to the unknown opposition corporation to Umbrella Corp. that he locked Mia in a cell because of her violent outbursts and then mentions to the corp. that Eveline's physical appearance was beginning to deteriorate.

The reason that Zoe still dies from Evelyn, even after you give her the serum is revealed through the 4th page of Mia's note. One can indacate from the text that the serum must be administered in the early stages of Evelyn's control 'stop the symp[toms]'. This is why Zoe's struggle to resist Evelyn, even after Ethan gives her the serum was all for nothing... Seems like Zoe couldn't (or didn't want to) admit that she was fucked from the start but hell nothing like a little hope to inspire survival.
