U can adjust the spring strength by using the spanner provided by tightening the nut closer to make it harder to pull of loosen it to make it light to pull.
I agree with every single thing you say. I bought mine around a week ago, had to modify my station a little to get extra space for e-brake since it was not built with that hardware in mind, but I managed to get a pretty solid space for it. The noise is unbearable sometimes, and I noticed little pieces of scraped aluminium laying around the e-brake after few uses xD My first solution to squeaking problem was to demount the moving piece that's inside and sliding parallel to the Arduino and it's sensor, and mount it back upside down since the holes drilled for screws are not in the middle of the element, so rotating it would make it slide more in a straight line, with it the metal bolt that holds the sliding piece with a handle would not have to move up and down. But there is a problem that the little Arduino piece is programmed kinda tricky. There is a small piece of metal soldered that activates the Arduino's sensor, thus it measures and translates the strength of a pull to the digital axis. So that plan will not work cause I'd have to rip the element and solder it again on the other side, I could damage it in a process and it might not work well anymore. I think that only greasing the moving parts a little might help, or if someone is really technical might try to fit in some ball bearings, bit that's higher tech solution xD Overall the construction is solid indeed, but squeaking makes playing in the nighttime a nightmare. Got mine today and it's already mounted to the rig. Mine was lubed up so no squeeky noises :) Works like a charm. and no white hot glue. it's mounted the board with a screw. Got mine in purple :)
Recently found your channel and its excellent. Very well presented and easy to understand info. I have been looking into getting one of these but only have a wheel stand pro deluxe v2 and not sure I could mount it. I have seen there is and addon that let's you mount other types of much more expensive handbrake peripherals
Funny enough, mine just arrived in the mail yesterday for my Playseat Challenge! I've been mulling over how to mount it upright beside my wheel, but I'd be glad to see how you mounted it on the side.
i got one of those a year ago and i have 3d printed a new bit that the board mounts on so it can move fully back and i can use the thing on the side as a parking brake
Been waiting for your to review this. I bought this off of Amazon some time ago and it works great for me on Rally games. Ive wanted to know what the point of that hook piece was, now I know lol. Cheers That noise it makes may be only on a few of these, I guess depending on where you get it from whether that be Amazon or eBay, because mine has no noise whatsoever. But yes, it is a very functional device and serves its purpose well for the money you spend for it. It was pretty much plug n play for me. No problems. I've got the gt omega wheel stand and tried to connect this handbrake to it on the left side, even with the extra stand part that comes woth the gt omega, it didn't really work out as I also tried to hook up my g29 gear stick on the left side - being Australian, my gear stick and handbrake are on the left side - they just kept getting in the way pf each other. So I mounted the handbrake to my desk which works out as the desk isnt a shitty office desk, its a heavy duty gaming desk so there's no movement or play when I use the handbrake. You did mention how you can modify and move parts of the handbrake around so I might go back and try moving parts around so I can stick it on to the omega wheel stand. Because my desk sits a little high for my liking so I have to reach for the handbrake, its a bitch lol Thanks for your review!!
Good review. Some comments after 1 year of ownership. After some time it started rattling, not squeaking like the one in this video, but a simple bolt tightening was enough to address this. It could use a bit stiffer spring (i will do this eventually) but it is ok as it is. Some racket or bike grip can be fitted for a better handle - I've done this. I removed the clip that holds it as a hydraulic handbrake quite easily. The pcb did not fall off yet :P
Thanks for this, was thinking of getting one for euro truck sim, but i'll just stick to using a button after hearing that noise 😅 even if i could be bothered to grease it up.
Hi Karl, I know this is an old video but I've just bought one of these and it looks like they solved the noise issues and the spring is a lot better. Also they supplied a plate to add the handbrake next to the shifter and it fitted perfectly on the Omega racing stand. The work bench clamp I got with it made me laugh though. Also I had to tighten some nuts and adjust the dead zone like you - Mike
Hi this Is just a quick update, just grabbed the aikeec 64 Bit USB Handbrake from amazon for 96.00 and the spring tension Is now a lot stronger also It now no longer makes noise straight out of the box,

you can stop the squeakiness with some wd-40 if you have that where you live, for me if mine will be squeaky ill just spray just a little amout of wd-40 and itll sound a lot more quieter
Mine has a little slop in it when you first go to pull it, does yours? Im not talking about the deadzone once you start to pull it, but a little play in the actual mechanical movement before it actually starts to compress the spring. I haven't figured out how to tighten that part away.
@@KarlGosling Okay, I might have to just take it all apart. Seems to be a little slop with the pin that holds the handle lever into the box. I'm going to try your spring upgrade too. Thanks for the video! Its nice to see some budget reviews and some DIY stuff
I’ve been tempted to get one of these, what’s stopping me from pulling the trigger is how it would fit my Playseat evo. I have the gear shifter in place on the correct Playseat bracket but there’s no way I’d get a handbrake in the right place. Nightmare 😂. Nice video, great on how you’ve gone into so much detail, spot on.
I have one like this and really like it. Mounted on my full sim rig, Vertically, like in rally cars. The handle spins around just like the Fanatec handbrake!
Hi Karl, I'm using that same HB for about 3 months or so, and I really get the job done, you can tweak something in the hardware and software that will help improve, I solved the handle issue by replacing the top of the default handle with a 190 mm aluminum bride knob, which is long enough to reach more comfortably and works great.
I been looking at getting one as half the cost of a Fanatec handbrake. Seeing as pretty much a DIY handbrake, I wonder how hard it would be to replace the hall sensor with a load cell, if you can get one cheap.
Absolutely love your videos! I recently purchased this same handbrake and also the stronger spring that you suggested. All inputs are working but it seems that the “Z axis” is stuck on 50% even after calibrating which in turn leads to the handbrake always being on in game. Do you know a fix??
Oh, I forgot that I said I’d let you know how the Titan cockpit worked out. Well, it’s all set up and it’s pretty nice. Looks nice and clean with Rs6 seat. Glad I got this 1 as I’m only a small fella around 5.5 5.6 and I fit in it just nicely. I had a few problems setting up, but all sorted now. It feels sturdy. I’m only using g29 so can’t say how it works with more powerful gear. To be honest, I’m bloody addicted now and am even looking at buying the Fanatic? F1 podium F1 wheel for PS4,5 costing about £1600. I think it’s just the wheel and possibly the base. I’d have to see how much it would cost for full setup. I might buy the cheaper version first. Comes with F1 style wheel and pedals at around £600-700. My only possible problem with my Titan, it’s seems like wheel mount is slightly to the left. Maybe inch or 2 and I know it probably sounds silly but I can’t seem to work out if it’s a problem, during a race. It’s hard to measure properly, as that part of frame curves. Oh and I find the seat to be a bit low but I’m thinking about buying a stand that’s a few inches lower then my tv is now and that would sort that out. I’m still testing it out at this stage. The guys at Ft omega offered to change any part of frame. So I may replace front of frame but I don’t like being a pain in the arse. I’ve probably annoyed the crap out of the staff with all my emails.
lol Sounds good mate! Can you measure with a tape to check that the wheel deck is central? You do get the odd manufacturing error with any product so it's possible it's out.
@@KarlGosling I just measured best I can and it seems almost centre . Both sides are more or less even but it still fells bit to left. Especially when sitting in seat. Like my wheel looks bout 1.5inch to left of seat. Hmmmmmmm. Do you think that if the wheel is slightly to left by max of 1.5inch, do you think it will effect my driving? I know that sounds like a silly question but I’m unsure if it’s having a negative impact or not.
Great review mate! I got that handbreak a month ago and I love it. One question tho: Is it possible to convert it into a vertical drift handbrake when using it on the challenge seat? I got it hooked like you described in one of your videos and I'm wondering if you could replace the upper part of the lever with a pipe connected to a metal bracket or something like that
I have one of those for sometime and it's ok, the only problem was the lateral wobble, i solved it with 2 washers. For the spring put some rubbers like the load cell brakes.
I am literally upgrading from a G923 to a Fanatec CSL Elite and awaiting my wheel and pedals that come in a few days, Since Fanatec is so expensive in looking at these on Aliexpress and also a cheap shifter since i will still have to buy a load cell brake to get good braking and a clutch. im 1 min into the video and i hope its at least decent since rally is my favorite motorsport and my new setup literally will be less for rally than i had before. ( I have had this wheelbase for two years and never bought into it cause the price and was given the wheel base)
i got one of these Karl from ebay couple of weeks ago and have been looking for a decent review since then so thank you. Mine has no squeak at all. I haven't used it yet though pmsl. I bought a clamping kit that was included with it. It camps to my desk adequately and although not used it in anger yet, it did seem to well clamped to the desk with no slipping or movement.
@@KarlGosling hi Karl, as I have said I hadn’t used my handbrake in anger as I was waiting for a new wheel and little other goodies. Plugged usb into pc but I can’t get it to work on any games???? I go to assign button pull the handbrake but nothing happens, any ideas mate? I messaged the seller and he just says it needs set up in game. I’m really disappointed.
got one for christmas, relatively the same probably just a little newer but the red hook on the side didnt even go over the bolt to lock the brake so I took it off. all of the hardware and bolts were loose and I had to tighen them all. and I'm pretty sure it just flat out doesn't work other than it pops up as a controller in my control panel.
Hi, i got one of those, and there is quite a bit of input lag in all games. Is there any settings somewhere that i can fix this issue? I literally just plugged it in with the usb and it works, no software downloaded or anything.
hey nice one! Im just the customer youre talking about, Playseat Challenge (bought it after watching your vid on it) and CSL Elite user. currently handbraking using the right shifter pedal :) think I found a similar one here on the Japanese eBay (qoo10, an ebay company) for 9000yen, a bit over the 60 or so pounds on the UK store but ya know.. do you have a shot of how you attatched it to the lawn chair? you have a shot from above, but Id love it if you could show us how you actually clamped it on, a shot from below or something?
So I went ahead and bought one, plugged it in, saw that my PC picked up the Arduino Leonardo however when I ran the controller setup test, there were no signs of life when pulling back the brake. It doesn't come with any instructions and granted I am completely out of my depth when it comes to both PCs and cars. Am I missing something completely obvious? I tried tightening and loosening that bolt u mentioned and nothing. I messaged the seller 3 days ago and nothing. As far as I can tell I dropped 100 AUD on a squeaky mess of metal.
Hi Karl, will this work with PS4 Ps5? And what kinda handbrake mount would I need? I’m using a Gt Omega Titan and I don’t know what mount will work what whatever handbrake I use. I’m desperate to slide round hairpin. I found a handbrake on eBay for PS4 but the seller can’t write in proper English, clearly foreign and he didn’t answer, what mount would work. Edit, I just clicked link and it’s only for pc. How would I find out what mount will work with PS4,5 compatible handbrake on eBay? Sorry if that sounds like a stupid question.
My only question is if this can fit the thrustmaster wheel + shifter stand for desks I've got a desk setup and want to run a handbrake with that stand but I don't want to pay the almost $400 for a thrustmaster brake
@@KarlGosling Keep us posted mate. I'm a cheapskate and just bought one of these rather than buy a Heusinkveld ha Im pretty sure I'l want a stronger spring..
Oh mate I don't know why yours is so noisy. Mine was great out of the box, got it from Amazon. Mine actually has some grease on it and I got some on my fingers when I took it out of the box
Idk if you read the comments, do you happen to know if it would be possible to mount the moza handbreak this way? i can see it has 2x2 holes and it looks about right but i can't find the measurments for it.
Thanks for the review! Can someone explain to me why the hell the thrustmaster handbrake is that much expensive? Here in Hungary the price is almost the double of their TH8A shifter, which is crazy for me (or I don't understand something, as I'm a beginner in simracing).
@@KarlGosling Lol. :D I know profit is the main thing, I thought there is something else. I think all handbrakes are extremely overpriced and I thought there is a reason I can't see.
Dammit.....now I have to get one of these. I have a G29 sitting in the closet, waiting to be used, but I'm waiting to get up the cash to buy a stand for it(I'm getting something similar to the Playseat Challenge, but a little wider/sturdier) The game I've been most looking forward to using it with is Dirt Rally Vr. I've only played with a controller, and was just thinking the other day, "How in the hell am I going to use the e-brake with the G29?" Man, I can't believe what this hobby of mine is costing, and I'm not even in the ballpark of what some are spending. Hard to believe this all started with a $20 headset that I could slip my phone into. From there to a Gear Vr, from there to a PS4, Playstation Vr, plus an AIM controller, from there to an........ok(Ryzen 5 2600x/GTX 1070/16gb)gaming pc and an Oculus Rift CV1. Then the G29. Plus I just bought the Quest 2, I still need a racing stand......and now a handbrake. On top of that, I want a flight stick, and a haptic vest or something. Wouldn't mind connecting some sort of haptics to the stand as well. Cripes........it's never going to be enough.
Ha ha. I feel your pain. I bought the G29 during Black Friday. So of course I had to get a stand so I got the GT Omega Apex. We’re going to be renovating our house and I will have a gaming room so I decided to preemptively buy the Apex seat frame. And I wanted to be comfortable so I grabbed the XL RS Simulator seat (neither opened yet). I’m not even looking at PS5 because I’m going straight for a kickass PC so I’m saving for that. Don’t even have the PC and I’m looking at VR, multi unit Buttkickers etc etc. It’s crazy. At this stage I feel like I’m going to be building my house around my rig.
I have the playseat evolution with the shifterholder pro and I mounted a thrustmaster th8a and I want to buy one of these lower end handbrakes to begin with rally racing, but my problem is that I don't know if it is going to fit on the shifter plate and if it fits the biggest question is is it in a natural position.
I bought one from Amazon and the cable didn't work I'd have to wiggle it for it to connect but it would only work for a split second then it completely stopped smh idk if I should try again or try another brand
Karl, people of earth,...I have this damn handbrake and I have to calibrate it EVERY SINGLE BOOT. It's driving me nuts. If I don't the handbrake is constantly engaged in windows settings. Meaning I fire up a game and the handbrake is constantly engaged. Anyone have this issue? Any fix?
I got one a week ago and it works great and it isn't squeaky at all. I did have to tighten most of the bolts but it functions great and I can finally rip up hairpins and drift!! Works in Dirt Rally, 2.0, BeamNG.drive, Assetto Corsa & ACC but i can't get it to work in WRC7 or either of the Project Cars. Anyone else?

Got mine today and it's already mounted to the rig. Mine was lubed up so no squeeky noises :) Works like a charm. and no white hot glue. it's mounted the board with a screw. Got mine in purple :)
Oh nice! Sounds like there's a few different sellers assembling these then or they have upped their game! :)
@@KarlGosling or they've seen your video and changed their ways :)
I don't buy anything untill you give it a try thanks for your content
I appreciate that
Thanks for the review Karl Ill be picking one of these for my cheap sim rig set up. Keep up the good work !
Great explaination mate!! I wish I knew this before dropping too much $$$$ on my rig.
Recently found your channel and its excellent. Very well presented and easy to understand info. I have been looking into getting one of these but only have a wheel stand pro deluxe v2 and not sure I could mount it.
I have seen there is and addon that let's you mount other types of much more expensive handbrake peripherals
Same here unfortunately. 😐
Hi Karl, Tom B Here. you may have seen me if you play online lol I'm quick, love the video man, great intellect.
I'm not a big online player but thanks mate! :)
Funny enough, mine just arrived in the mail yesterday for my Playseat Challenge! I've been mulling over how to mount it upright beside my wheel, but I'd be glad to see how you mounted it on the side.
Really really easy to do and works very well, video coming! :)
Does it work with PS4 and Ps5?
@@KarlGosling looking forward to that video as well!
Thanks btw. for the nice/informative/extensive reviews, just recently discovered your channel!
i got one of those a year ago and i have 3d printed a new bit that the board mounts on so it can move fully back and i can use the thing on the side as a parking brake
Subbed! Btw you have someone on your racing rig trying to figure out how this work😂
9:17 City Car Driving could use some of that feature in driving school. :)
Been waiting for your to review this. I bought this off of Amazon some time ago and it works great for me on Rally games.
Ive wanted to know what the point of that hook piece was, now I know lol. Cheers
That noise it makes may be only on a few of these, I guess depending on where you get it from whether that be Amazon or eBay, because mine has no noise whatsoever.
Because my desk sits a little high for my liking so I have to reach for the handbrake, its a bitch lol
Thanks for your review!!
Actually so happy about the red clip that hold the brake on 🤣 fwd burnouts while shifting
Awesome cheers mate! :)
I see a German holiday maker has reserved your rig for the day!!
😆
I have one of these mounted on my Apex and so far it’s great
For the money you can't grumble really, everything else is so expensive!
Keep up the awesome videos. You’re one of my favorites.
I actually bought this handbrake before the arduino versions came out and hooked up a switch to it. I’ll prolly get this tho since it’s analog.
Great to know thank Mike!
Got one of these new a few months ago I got a surprise of the handbrake was pre greased before it was shipped
Nice! lol
Love your reviews, no bullshit!
The way it should be mate! :)
Great review! Really appreciate how much you went into detail! I might buy this since im using an old joystick as a handbrake with my T300 atm...
Hope you enjoy it!
Hi this Is just a quick update, just grabbed the aikeec 64 Bit USB Handbrake from amazon for 96.00 and the spring tension Is now a lot stronger also It now no longer makes noise straight out of the box,
Good to know mate!
I bought this exact handbrake off Banggood for $120AUD a few months ago, works well to.
Is Banggood legit?
@@provo1337 They are legit, but I've had a few hassles with them trying to get a refund.
8:50 your cat wanna RACE LOL I love cats...I have 7!
Thinking of buying One HandBrake like this and loosing my mind on T300 and forget g923...I'm right no? Cheers from Portugal ;)
7!!! lol :)
T300 is way better than G923 yes.
@@KarlGosling yeah its better, but the price of the shifter...OMG... I have ONLY 2 Cats...the others 5 are she's... LOL
I also bought GT Omega Stand...ONLY to have t300 always mounted!
Waiting your mounting vid of this HandBrake and a little rally race with it ;)
Great review on the cheap chinese product. Will try it out..thank you
Your cat took a bath on your sim rig 😂👍🏻
She did! :)
you can stop the squeakiness with some wd-40 if you have that where you live, for me if mine will be squeaky ill just spray just a little amout of wd-40 and itll sound a lot more quieter
WD-40 is not a lubricant. I know many people are taught to use it as a lubricant but it is not good for that purpose. :)
Mine has a little slop in it when you first go to pull it, does yours? Im not talking about the deadzone once you start to pull it, but a little play in the actual mechanical movement before it actually starts to compress the spring. I haven't figured out how to tighten that part away.
I've not used it in so long I can't remember mate, but I think I may have adjusted that out if it did?!
The handle spins around just like the Fanatec handbrake!
how do i get to work with my thrustmaster wheel on pc? I cant bind it in dirt
You just plug it in any USB port and select it in game, what wheel you are using doesn't matter.
Sounds great mate!
Hey Mean monkey! Small community we have in the sim racing community.
@@DouglasThompson for sure bro!!
Great vid mate. I don't see any clamping at all. Think it would be a suitable option for a desk racing setup?
You can get ones with clamps
Forgot to say there is an optional clamp!
Excellent mate cheers just been looking at these and a playset challenge owner! get that installation video up on the Tube cheers!
Coming next week mate!
I been looking at getting one as half the cost of a Fanatec handbrake. Seeing as pretty much a DIY handbrake, I wonder how hard it would be to replace the hall sensor with a load cell, if you can get one cheap.
Interesting idea, the LC is cheap but the USB controller etc is about £25 IIRC.
@@KarlGosling ok, just seeing people say you need a LC handbrake but not sure if it better or not
thanks! just bought one
Have fun!
Cracking review, definitely something I need to get 👍 and some WD40 😉🐈 Kitty wants to go racing!
got mine today it doesnt make any noises
Thanks for the awesome review!.
Is it possible to round off the bolt holes and add greased rubber O-rings inbetween to stop the noise?
I greased it up (see my Playseat Challenge handbrake video) and it's quiet as a mouse now :)
@@KarlGosling Thanks mate, fixed the issue completely!, Keep up the great reviews! 😁
Absolutely love your videos! I recently purchased this same handbrake and also the stronger spring that you suggested. All inputs are working but it seems that the “Z axis” is stuck on 50% even after calibrating which in turn leads to the handbrake always being on in game. Do you know a fix??
I don't mate sorry!
I got it hooked like you described in one of your videos and I'm wondering if you could replace the upper part of the lever with a pipe connected to a metal bracket or something like that
Thank you
I have one of those for sometime and it's ok, the only problem was the lateral wobble, i solved it with 2 washers.
For the spring put some rubbers like the load cell brakes.
Yeah thats sounds good mate!
Great video
I thought of buying one. Your cats going for a drive!!
She loves it! lol
I pull up in forza and park and use my break like that all the time lol.
this has a hall effect sensor?!? damn
Hall effect sensors are cheap mate, manufactures make a big deal about them like load cells but they cost very little.
So I’ve bought this, but I’m not sure how to make it work with my xbox. I tried mapping it in the game but it didn’t register
What type of grease would do the job for the bolts?
I am literally upgrading from a G923 to a Fanatec CSL Elite and awaiting my wheel and pedals that come in a few days, Since Fanatec is so expensive in looking at these on Aliexpress and also a cheap shifter since i will still have to buy a load cell brake to get good braking and a clutch. im 1 min into the video and i hope its at least decent since rally is my favorite motorsport and my new setup literally will be less for rally than i had before. ( I have had this wheelbase for two years and never bought into it cause the price and was given the wheel base)
made for tiny chinese hands just earned my sub lmao!
Will it work with the
LOGITECH G923?
I have the same question mate can't find any information.
i got one of these Karl from ebay couple of weeks ago and have been looking for a decent review since then so thank you. Mine has no squeak at all. I haven't used it yet though pmsl. I bought a clamping kit that was included with it. It camps to my desk adequately and although not used it in anger yet, it did seem to well clamped to the desk with no slipping or movement.
Sounds good!
11:40 what type of Grease you guys recommend to reduce the noise of the friction ?
Been watching your videos alot lately think this will work for a xbox and fanatec wheel base
got one for christmas, relatively the same probably just a little newer but the red hook on the side didnt even go over the bolt to lock the brake so I took it off. all of the hardware and bolts were loose and I had to tighen them all. and I'm pretty sure it just flat out doesn't work other than it pops up as a controller in my control panel.
The Chinese gamble.
@@KarlGosling I mean it was made in Taiwan, but sure if you think chinese is close enough.
great review. thanks man
No problem!
Hi, i got one of those, and there is quite a bit of input lag in all games. Is there any settings somewhere that i can fix this issue? I literally just plugged it in with the usb and it works, no software downloaded or anything.
Not that I know of mate, it's just plug and play, I'd return it for a replacement as mine has no input lag that I can perceive.
hey nice one! Im just the customer youre talking about, Playseat Challenge (bought it after watching your vid on it) and CSL Elite user.
currently handbraking using the right shifter pedal :)
think I found a similar one here on the Japanese eBay (qoo10, an ebay company) for 9000yen, a bit over the 60 or so pounds on the UK store but ya know..
do you have a shot of how you attatched it to the lawn chair? you have a shot from above, but Id love it if you could show us how you actually clamped it on, a shot from below or something?
Fitting video coming next week mate! :)
@@KarlGosling but I wanna order it noooow!! lol
ok, Ill wait then!
Can you show how to set it up on ps4 I plugged it in to the usb and a red light showed up but it didn’t work while I played
I think it’s for pc only
So I went ahead and bought one, plugged it in, saw that my PC picked up the Arduino Leonardo however when I ran the controller setup test, there were no signs of life when pulling back the brake.
Hi man! Can the handbrake be kept locked in the opposite position to the push of the spring?
Hello I’m kinda late for this but I really need some help with handbrake that isn’t supporting with Forza 4 😭😭
I don't have any current consoles mate so I can't test anything sorry Graham!
@@KarlGosling sorry mate. I remember you saying you don’t have console before. 👍
My only question is if this can fit the thrustmaster wheel + shifter stand for desks
I've got a desk setup and want to run a handbrake with that stand but I don't want to pay the almost $400 for a thrustmaster brake
Has anyone had any success in upgrading the compression spring for something a tad stiffer in this HB?
I have three new springs of different strengths on their way so keep your eyes open for a video on this very soon mate! :)
I think you do know why then, mine has no grease! lol Easy fix though :)
mine came greased too of amazon, a great handbrake tbh
Like wise. Did have to do some tuning to get it to work a bit nicer
Idk if you read the comments, do you happen to know if it would be possible to mount the moza handbreak this way? i can see it has 2x2 holes and it looks about right but i can't find the measurments for it.
I don't know mate I've not had one in sorry.
When you say control panel, what control panel are you referring to? Windows control panel?
Yes.
Thanks for the review!
Can someone explain to me why the hell the thrustmaster handbrake is that much expensive? Here in Hungary the price is almost the double of their TH8A shifter, which is crazy for me (or I don't understand something, as I'm a beginner in simracing).
Profit! lol As sim racers we get charged hard for products.
@@KarlGosling Lol. :D I know profit is the main thing, I thought there is something else. I think all handbrakes are extremely overpriced and I thought there is a reason I can't see.
I fully agree. If I conver Rands to USD the fanatec csl dd without booster pack is 897.97 USD
I've only played with a controller, and was just thinking the other day, "How in the hell am I going to use the e-brake with the G29?"
Man, I can't believe what this hobby of mine is costing, and I'm not even in the ballpark of what some are spending.
It's never ending mate thats for sure!
LOL Nice conversation we have here. Ahahahah
Can I connect this to a ps5 ? I am searching for a handbrake for a console specifically ps do you have any suggestions .
Great video I almost bought one of these
I'm still watching the video and if you explain in video then don't worry , but is this useable for consoles or is there an adapter needed ?
I do not have any current consoles so everything I test is for PC mate sorry.
@@KarlGosling no worries, cheers 👍
I have the playseat evolution with the shifterholder pro and I mounted a thrustmaster th8a and I want to buy one of these lower end handbrakes to begin with rally racing, but my problem is that I don't know if it is going to fit on the shifter plate and if it fits the biggest question is is it in a natural position.
I'm looking for a handbrake fory t150 ps5, does this work with the ps5?
Finding it hard to find one without spending alot $$$$

fancy doing a vid on changing the springs?
Yeah why not! I'll hunt some out! :)
Has a short usb cord my pc is quite a long way away what do i do
Extend it.
@@KarlGosling yep bought a cheap USB extension cord from Walmart and extended it works great
I bought one from Amazon and the cable didn't work I'd have to wiggle it for it to connect but it would only work for a split second then it completely stopped smh idk if I should try again or try another brand
I would try again unless you want to buy the Fanatec one, which IMO is way overpriced for what it is.
@@KarlGosling my second one came in and works perfectly thanks for the recommendation
Is this still my best option right now for around £50 ?
I think so.
Hah!
I have the same, but from Aliexpress, works fine for it's price :)
Any fix?
How do you sync it, it’s not coming up on my Xbox?
I got one a week ago and it works great and it isn't squeaky at all. I did have to tighten most of the bolts but it functions great and I can finally rip up hairpins and drift!! Works in Dirt Rally, 2.0, BeamNG.drive, Assetto Corsa & ACC but i can't get it to work in WRC7 or either of the Project Cars. Anyone else?
Yeah I'm thinking they forgot to grease mine! lol
Yes Im having problems with WR7 and project cars 2 as well. No biggie... Dirt 2 and AC are my favorite sims anyway.
