Exactly the video i was searching for that you have already created. I'm thinking I might splurge for a laser distance measure. I stopped and laughed when I saw you place a measure in an ammo box approx at 20 seconds in and thought what the test would be like if you also placed an M80 in the box as part of the torture test. Have a Happy Thanksgiving 2024.

In well over 20 years of using a tape in production environments, I've never had one get pulled or pushed straight up off of my belt (although I usually use my pocket instead).
What *has* happened was it getting pulled away from my body, essentially opening up the belt clip. I'd love to see the strength of the clips tested in future videos.

@@seanharding Hello, I also have the previous model with a red laser, glm50 c. Indoor both are working fine. Outside the green laser is more visible, but is not the only reason for me to upgrade. The new model can be used with alkaline batteries, or with an easy-to-use li-ion battery pack, that was part of the package. The display is improved, is more visible outdoors. You also can change the language of the menu, and the tool have a vibration haptic feedback when you take measurement. In some cases the tool has a practical belt clip in the package. It is bigger than the previous version, but is very solid. The contrast of the display is adjustable. If you are working outside on a construction site, then I recommend this tool, considering all the features, not only the laser color.

I own a Dremel Saw-Max tool and over a lot of use the adjustable foot melts. I am wondering, "How do other manufacturers Mini-Saws hold up over time and how well do they perform?" Since Mini-Saws are not too expensive and a lot of us use these quick and handy tools, I think this would be a great video many people would look forward too.
My second suggestion is Mini-Chainsaws. These are also quick and handy tools for woodworking. I own a Bosch EasyCut 12 and honestly, I use this more as a novelty tool because having a miniature chainsaw is like holding a lion cub in your hand. It's just cool!

Given the accuracy of the laser, I would think they're great for estimating room distance, fence run, etc. I would still use the tape for drywall and exterior siding measurement taking and happy with 1/8" play for fitment...taping and trimming and baseboard will cover the 'shortage'. There is nothing much wrong with using thousandths of an inch, and I wouldn't mind if tape measures were marked down to the nearest 10th of an inch (you can eyeball the rest). But the power of two fractions are just nuts. Anyway, I finally just bought a metric tape measure and use it whenever possible. It is pure metric (no inches on it). That way I can use both sides of the tape, whichever is more convenient.

This guy defies today’s society. Considerate, intelligent, and integrity to name a few.

I really Loved this and I don't even use or need a tape measure (Yep, I am sad). I really like and am interested in the methodology and approach to testing and the fact that no time is wasted. This is a brilliant channel and Todd, you are a Genius in your approach and delivery of the information I need to make a Consumer choice; thank you.
You can bet the manufacturers are waiting with baited breath for the next up load with their fingers crossed that they do well. This channel will surely (probably already has) singlehandedly made them improve their standards to give me, the working Man more value and quality (I bet sales of Seafoam products for instance have rocketed and maybe, rightly so). For that, I am very grateful.
Because the content of the Channel is so very impressive, I treated myself to a "Very Impressive" tee shirt. I live in London and it will take only 2 1/2 days from order to delivery (it's coming tomorrow) - now that is very impressive! What I'd really like next is a "Let's Find Out" tee shirt as well to compliment it. Like I said, maybe I am a bit sad - but paradoxically, very happy when I watch Project Farm tests.
The more that People watch this channel and comment, the more Manufacturers will strive to improve upon standards and price.
I'd love to see a Lawn Mower comparison - with a couple of Goats included in the sample. Maintenance, energy consumption and cost of the Lawn Mowers vs the Goats - and the subjective analysis of the Human effort - time walking up and down and up and down vs me sitting on the Couch, watching the tellie whilst the Goats do it all and provide "free" manure for the Rose bushes. Is that a runner? No probably not.
Thank you for all you do. With nearly half a billion views, it's clear that you are very much appreciated. Please don't stop!
My Best Wishes from London to you, your Family and your team.

Best channel for testing, watch these before you buy anything that's been tested on this channel!!! Have you tested lazer measuring devices?

TL;DW: Get yourself a separate tape measure and laser rangefinder because the $20 control beats the crap out of all the bundled tape measures on these and you pay a screen size and ergonomics penalty to merge them into one tool.
Thanks for the great video and tests!

Still, after all these years watching your awesome videos-
I get goosebumps whenever you're reading aloud a products'
    quality claims, then say-
    *"WE'RE GOING TO TEST THAT!"*

Was wondering if you would do a fabric stain protection review video? Your scientific, unbiased approach really shows what are just product claims and what products can actually do- and since there isn’t a very comprehensive review of the different products out there, it’d be great to see one done especially by you. Some brands I’d be interested to see would be the classic scotchguard, chemical guys has a product for car interior, Gtechniq have some compelling videos on their stain protection spray but I haven’t seen anyone put their product through the rigors of your sort of tests. Was interested in using something for a car interior but there are so many products out there that it makes deciding difficult, especially with all the hyperbolic marketing. As always, great video!
