Totally agree here! I had a 1994 3.20i, sedane version. I got values a bit over 8 secs 0-100. This one is around 120 kg heavier but I cannot understand why this is that slow!
@@auslander7553 Engine is old and not a new technology and if it is not used properly, did not have some kind of maintanance work this result is quite normal. Normally even if it is not turbo boosted, 150 hp 2000 cc 6 cylinders car should reach 100 km/h around 8-9 secs
Exhaust is modified (non stock sound), gauges modified and stuck, cooling system doesnt work... means more sound, but less power. My 320i is not that loud but faster ;) very nice Review, well done but next time better watch the dash, name the modifications so people do not dream of modified sound on a stock 2l, more precise shifting and maybe go a bit sideways?😝 Finally a very good m52b20 Review 😁 Thank you and good job 👍🏼
How many hp do you think it has now? I'd say 110 at most, still sounds amazing tho and top speed isnt that bad, although sitting that close to the ground sure compensates for some of those lost horses

@@miljororforsprakpartiet290 lol how? if You wanna say it weight less, first check botch engines weight, and engine on this vid is m52 so is alu block, m44 had cast iron, only diff betwen them is r6 have more brutal life than r4 engines, and this poor m52b20 is worling really bad whole cylinder head is making noise, car overheat so badly, You can see it at 7:00, i still dont have any idea how r4 with less hp and nm can be a lot baster than r6, other wise i like to see how people can say shit in internet even when they saw anything in real life
also i like how You know better about bmw cars than bmw producer l, im sure bmw dont know about nothing about their cars and also they lie about power of 1.8is, 2.0, thanks to saying myths on internet
Definitely something wrong, had a 20i convertible not long ago and it was quite a lot faster. Great vibes though! Miss mine, feel like I made a mistake selling it.
Check the weight man, coupe is almost 200kg lighter than cabrio. Had 318 E36 Cabrio borrowed last summer and i was surprised how lazy and slow the car was 😄
It's not made for that a convertible, it's made to roll your hair in the wind and enjoy the scenery and the noise of the engine.... you want to go fast take an M3. Made of off-road in M5 it's the same, it's not made for that.
Gotta love those 6 cylinders. They're not that fast, but they sound amazing.

As a ex 320i coupé owner, 2.0 L6 24v engine have no torque at low and middle rpm...but became rude at high rpm
