I used to own a 3.2 FSI Black Automatic Sedan Passat for 5 years, I don’t have it anymore, we changed it for an R36 Passat. Worth the money, worth the comfort, and worth it for 80 more hp.
Yeah but the R36 version of this car is even faster. It’s a 3.6 liter n/a v6 that does a stick 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and is easy to boost. I drive a b6 tfsi Passat like the one in this video but mine is the komfort edition so it a little nicer on the inside. I also tuned it quite a bit and Competitive with new modified mustangs and camaros. I smoke any mustang or camaro of the same year easily as well. The only issue is that suspension tends to be a weak component and the springs like to break. The engine accessories are mostly made out of plastic and like to break after many heat cycles as well. I ended up doing thousands in repairs which would’ve totaled my car if I had someone else do them. Timing belts also expensive to replace and a lot of other issues with just the cost and maintenance of the vehicle. I like how it drives and I like the noises my turbo makes when I get on it and stuff but nothing last forever. I got to sell it before I ship off or else no one will drive it and it’ll die because it’s a VW.

I have a B6 variant, 2.0T gas MT and it's a great car. Fast, good brakes and cavernous for hauling stuff and super comfortable on long drives ... like 10 hour drives that don't beat you up. Love my B6.

I have Passat B7 2012 2.0 Tsi 155 kwh With adaptive suspension,controls on steering wheel..it's a pleasure to drive this car on long drives,very comfortable and enough Power when it's needed. Unfortunely it has an oil consumption about 1L/2000-2500 km(depends on driving style)....
I drove a 2007 2.0 TFSI Tiptronic for 10 years and it consumed same amount of oil basically from day one - 1L for every 2000km. Well known issue of TFSI and TSI engines up to 2016. Somewhere in 2016 VW changed the piston oliring design. Besides that it was a great car.
@@taavivosu4484 TSI engines up to 2012/2013 actually. EA888 gen 3 have the oil consumption fixed and the timing chain fixed. And in fairness, the oil consumption of a healty 2.0 TFSI EA888 gen 2 is not a mechanical issue, it was designed like that.
@@alimortensen2898 Avoid the 1.6 FSI; they can have timing chain issues, carbon buildup, injectors, oil consumption, etc. If you want a 1.6 go for the 1.6 MPI. It's a bit slow and not the best on fuel but very reliable.

This passat is a very early model. I think they changed the steering wheel on the first or second year. They also changed the gauges and the seats, but not at the same time

The Passat is a bit of a sleeper fast sedan (or wagon variant) with the 2.0 TFSI or TSI. There are lots of tuning options to take these engines far past 200 HP.

No, it can't do 260 km/h. Most cars don't use the entire speedometer. It is simply not that sleek and tops out at 235 km/h.

The launch on the video was actually really good, but It wouldn't do 0-100 in 6.5. My A4 2.0 TFSI does 6.5-6.8sec with Quattro
Bare in mind that the speed on the speedometer is usually 5-10km less than that actual speed of the car. So it is 7.5s to 100.

It's a fsi and I'd say check your timing chain tensioner, sounds clacky like a chain, on the battery side of the engine.

What I've always liked about passat is how easy it is to shift gear. I own a GTC, an alfa brera and a corsa, and shifting is like going to the gym.
