Poor you. I imagine you when your first coil will break break and you'll run on two cylinders (it happened twice in 5 years for me). Or when you'll have the engine light displayed on, your garage will make you change the lambda probe or the catalyst but it's just the wires are fucked up. Beware the electronics of this car. This is the reason I'm throwing it to junkyard now.

When I'm reading the comments, I'm glad, that I still own one. I can't afford a new car, that has to visit a workshop twice a year and eats money like crazy because of that. You can do what you want and by yourself in this car. No Problem with Oil Inspections... you can refresh the oil and reset the service notification simply by yourself (Yes I also replace the filters). I love this car... it will break my heart, If its gonna die and I have to buy a new car without this amazing and unique character

If its the facelift from my car (next gen) then I would say yes, absolutely, but it depends on mileage, if the owner did regularly maintenance by a workshop, had the car an accident ? Those criteria are important

At least is a petrol engine because if it was diesel, surely will need Ad-Blue....nice car, very good video as always!!!! haha my polo cup holder wasn't working when I got it but I fixed it, every so often you have to force something to pry it out because it keeps on getting jammed, you just have to be very careful with it!
In all 3-cylinder engines lies half of a six cylinder engine. I prefer the sound of the R3 to most R4s (may a Bubaru be an exception). Having owned a V6 before I miss the harmony of the 120 degree separation of the cranks.
i have 1.4 85ps 2009 (before the next generation ) and its okay 0-100 i did like 11.4 in my best try which is decent but i think even with the 85ps after 100km it should be faster compare to other cars with the same hp Overall its really nice for town cause the steering wheel is really light so it makes the driving in town really enjoyable
Didn't know they made an "HTP" engine, is it still a 12v ? I have one which is also a 9n3 from 2006 but with a 1.2 FSI 12v, 64 hp i think, and it looks faster compare to the numbers you had here. Of course, not a racecar neither but a lot of fun ! Btw, loved the video !
I've been owning this car (phase 1 from 2002) for the 5 last years. I have to get give it away now because of all electronics problems it have. And what a shame because what a sound and the engine's response. For my part, the engine was running much better with ethanol.

You probably rev it too high. Most people really moan about this engine, but it behaves just as you treat it. Don't go over 130km/h. Don't rev it over 3k rpm on acceleration. If you push it, it will consume oil. ofc if the issue persists, you could consider faulty head gasket, but there are always other signs.
Brings back memories. I used to thrash the hell out of mine: loved hearing the 3 pot scream.

I would say most 1.2 litre Engines sound better than most what we can buy today. Even my old Corsa from 2003 sounds better than most OPF engines today
