Hey Gin, you may already know this, but there's a single screw in the bottom of that arm cuff to adjust it closer to the handle. It comes preset in the mid position, but you can take the screw out, and slide it forwards until you see the next threaded hole to the screw back into. If its still too long, consider trimming some plastic off the back of the arm cuff to fit your arm better. Its just plastic, no sense in being uncomfortable while detecting. Discomfort=shorter hunts=less finds. Good luck!

Nice to see you hunt with the Deus, i hunt with version 1 over 7 years now. Think Deus is the best detector there is, saving for Deus 2.
I really like how authentic and relaxing your videos are. They are good representations of a real hunt, lots of junk, a few coins, some toys, bling jewelry, and a treasure or two. Thank you for posting such nice videos.

We are located in Madison Wi. We would love to help you out. Activities you enjoy should be comfortable and full of happy memories. We have some ideas in mind for the Deus 2, please let us know if we can assist.
This is good for a fix it project. Yes padding would solve it but I would pull out the arm rod where it sits by the handle if you can. Mark the handle where your arm will be good and use a hack saw to cut the tube. Push the tube back in as it should be fine. If not, epoxy it or drill straight threw the tube and use bolt with washers and a nut. Thanks for posting and good luck hunting.

Thank you for another relaxing video! You are so lucky to be in a place that is WARM. Here in New England we are still in the back end of winter. Yucky weather! Glad you are learning the Deus 2. It is an absolutely incredible detector. I also got the Grey Ghost headphones and they are great! Gin, I bought the carbon fiber complete shaft from Steve's Shafts and his arm cuff is completely different from the factory cuff. It is taller and easier to place in the perfect spot on your forearm. It gives more leverage and reduces wrist strain for me.
I love your enthusiasm and your fun videos. Please keep making them.

Hello my friend! It’s been yucky cold, grey, dreary weather in Tennessee too. It was way past time to head somewhere warm and sunny! So far the Deus is great; the more I use it the more I like it. I’ve got an idea to resolve my arm cuff issue, but if it doesn’t work then I’ll have someone customize it for me. Thanks for the clovers and for stopping by to share your awesome positive vibe.🤗🍀

The cuff is the most important part. I think you should have a chat with Steve at Steves Detector Shafts. He is super friendly and a really fantastic person. He and I have gone back and forth on design stuff a few times and he really listens. I think he would be happy to sort out your arm cuff issue Lady.

We liked your video, what you might consider on that piece that keeps on hitting your elbow is to have someone shorten the pipe that extends up past your elbow. I'm guessing you can remove one nut & bolt to remove the forearm piece then use a pipe cutter to shorten that pipe place the elbow piece back on and drill the hole for the nut and bolt. Hope this helps.
Wow Cocoa Beach. We used to take the kids there when they were young. Long drive from Oklahoma, but they had a blast playing with surfboards. I never did take a metal detector with me on those trips. Good luck on your hunt.

I found the video to be very relaxing and fun to watch. I've always wanted to beach detect but I don't live near the ocean. Looks like a lot of fun! I hate to hear about the way that arm support rubs your elbow. Deus (and any of the other companies) should make that part of the frame adjustable. Maybe Deus will see this video and re-think the design. Thanks for sharing, subbed!

I once landed in a C47 at Patrick. Trip started at Homestead AFB then a stop at MacDill. From Patrick our last stop was Warner Robbins where we caught a hop on a C121 to Westover AFB in Mass

Very interesting watching your hunt. I especially like your "pin pointer" detector, which appears really handy when scanning over a dig scoop.

Hey Gin. I'm a big Cocoa beach fan. Grew up there and hunt regularly in the summer. Unfortunately not until spring break and summer is when the beaches really get hot for silver and gold. I hunt at night also, so much cooler during the summer time. Happy hunting!

I hit Cocoa Beach last summer with my nox. Best I did was a nice pair of aluminum fishing pliers that I know go for quite a few bucks. There weren't many targets there, but I also didn't detect In the water. You found more then I did...
The Atlantic beaches were rough this trip; Cocoa Beach had more targets than the others but still pretty slim. The beaches have all been heavily hunted since that last hurricane; I had local detectorists with me for much of this trip and they said it was great hunting right after the hurricane and fairly quiet since. You just never know with the beach.🙂

You channels nice and relaxing, plus you look great in shorts. 👍
If you put a short piece of nylon string or twine 6 to 8 inches long with a loop on the loose end of the string and the other end attached to the shaft in front of the arm cup on the upper shaft,you can attach the loop end to your belt .that way you can still swing your machine but hang it from your belt allowing two hands for your scoop without putting the detector down,try it as it works.

Hey Kiddo, glad to see your back I've been lookin for your videos. You didn't say what your settings were but bein your on the beach run the D2 in Dive mode even if your not in the wet you'll like it much better then the beach settin.

You’re in the big league now, sporting a Deus II. If you’re like me with OCD, the overly long mismatched antenna will drive you nuts, but XP will soon be releasing a shorter black antenna for water hunts.
That’s a bit of good news because, yes, that thing is way longer than needed!

Definitely no western concrete soil until it warms up! Fortunately I’m off to Digstock this week and the soil there is lovely - light and sandy. A bit of padding for my armrest and I should be right as rain.🤗🍀 Happy St Patty’s Day!🍀
