- The Reds gave us a great buzz up Beachy Head with some really low, high speed flybys whilst repositioning for the next part of the display. Really got the heart racing!

One of the harsh things in life is growing up and losing the wonder of things that only come from being a kid , but even now when I see the red arrows live they still fill me with the same wonderment and excitement as when I was a kid going to see them every year at ards air show 🇬🇧🇬🇧
YUP
never grows old
The Red Arrows doing what they do best = entertaining us and long may they continue to do so now and forever more
Absolutely
@@bobsurgranny FEBRUARY 2021 thank you
This is epic! Greetings from South Dakota, USA
Glad you enjoyed it
I've seen the Red Arrows at Eastbourne many times but always from the seafront. Then in 2008, we decided to watch from Beachy Head as I was heavily pregnant and wanted to avoid the crowds and realised it was actually the best viewing point. Haven't seen them at Eastbourne since as we moved later that year. Great memories.
Seafront is madness with the crowds.
Being under a Red Arrows display always makes me glad I am British.
Absolutely sir
The maneuverability of those hawks is insane! Those tight turns!
Nimble little jet for sure
I've lived in Eastbourne for 25 years and every year I say I'm not going to get excited. And every year I'm out the front of my house about two minutes before they're due, getting excited. I'm on the outskirts and on a flight line where my house gets buzzed by them. This year we got buzzed by five of them. Awesome stuff!!
I've only seen the Red Arrows once, and it was fantastic, made extra special because they were viewd from up on the hills above the Dartmouth River, which they flew along very low. The sound echoing from the valley below was exceptional. It was a beautiful summer evening, and we gorged on Pig Roast, that a local farmer had gifted to the watching crowds; and with plenty of Cider.
Got to love the Reds. Best endorsement from my missus who has 0 interest in aviation on seeing the Reds for the first time a few years back...."Amazing! I've never, ever seen anything like that before". Takes a lot to impress the wife, so well done lads! Great video! I must get to Beach Head some time for a show.
thanks for the upload for us British people that lives in the US. It brings back memories sitting on top of the bus stop stations watching them go by. keep uploading thanks again.
Glad you enjoyed watching 👍
I amglad to say we were ther that day my wife who had lived in the UK in another life had wanted to see airbourne and we did an amazing air display and to see the Vulcan bomber wow
1:45 Doggy understands the power and observes.
Big Reds fan apparently
Dog was like, “my ears heard every decibel of that”.
I've never seen them go that close and low....you lucky devil :)
Beachy is a great spot to watch them.
They do it over pier in clacton every rear, wonderful when you can feel the engine
Nice 👍 Yes to feel the engine power in you is what its all about
Now this is what you call an airshow :D
Absolutely. Glad you enjoyed it
Brilliant camera work thanks
Cheers, glad you enjoyed it
The bit at 1:40 TO 1:44 is AWESOME! That is fast, probably 500mph.
Shifting for sure
Possibly the greatest air display video ever
Well thanks. Have you seen this collection of my clips - ruclips.net/video/_p442KB-UGY/видео.html
That low pass was fucking awesome
Superb footage, from this most unusual perspective...
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it
They always try to impress if they can, Best in the world.. Love the red arrows, Ive passed my obsession to my kids too.lol.
Great vid matey.
Nice one. Glad you enjoyed this
@@bobsurgranny "A few years later" ;)
@@bobsurgranny lol. I get some crazy notifications from you. Can’t believe this was 8 years ago mate 🤔😂
Wow,awesome!Huge LIKE!Greetings!
I've just seen five of them from our garden. I think I jumped. It was very cool.
Nice 👍 Can't beat a surprise flyover from the Reds 😉
Jesus... high level skills of the pilot with this low pass
That's a great display of Red Arrows!
Pleased you enjoyed it 👍
@@bobsurgranny Let's hope they will come back after the Covid-19 pandemic!
What a beautiful spot for a show ! Bucket list item !
True. Glad you enjoyed it
awesome! Nifty flying at the end! Love the dog!
Glad you enjoyed this
@@bobsurgranny I've waited 5 years for this comment 😄 🤣
WE sat in front of you for this with our border collie "Nell"! I'll never forget it... you could feel the downdraught and smell the fuel!!
Yeah what a moment, a real adrenaline rush! Good you managed to find the video of it.
It was funny because I knew there was two more nutters to come back and came running up the hill to see and they hit us smack on. Best place to watch the Reds at Eastbourne without a doubt, shame they no longer come anywhere near the cliffs
@@bobsurgranny ......and a great video btw.. hopefully Airbourne '22 will happen:)
Some clever flying there at the end... ;)
+Rob BasicModelling It was new to the 2015 display ;)
***** Yes, I think they flew like that when I saw them at Clacton Air Show as well, but unfortunately the cloud base was extremely low at that precise moment and it was all done above cloud.. so I missed it.. ;)
Marvellous filmwork and content. Top marks 👌👍🏆
👍
awesome inspiring and BRITISH!!!
💯👍
goose bumps every time see em....imagine if you were enemies on that point?...speed of theose hawks alone, cannons and bombs...you wouldnt know what hit you....gone before you know they are there ...awesome
The Hawk is used by the RAF purely as a trainer. It can be bought as a fighter/ground attack aircraft but it would stand no chance against a Eurofighter Typhoon or equivalent.
That dog seemed impressed. Really cute.
Tail waggin like a gooden!
Forty years ago the same Hawks in the same colours and now the pilots grandkids are flying them.
That hurts..
40 years?, my head said they flew Gnats....
Calendar says you are right and I am old.
Fabulous!...is there a better viewing point than this?
That's badass, i wanna go there.
Glad you enjoyed watching 👍
I’m fortunate enough to live only 2 miles from where they are based in RAF Scampton and they fly over our house almost every day and practice all of their manoeuvers
Lucky sod 😉
I remember I was in an airshow with my parents when I was 10 years old... I was so scared because how loud these jets was... And I remember the Red Arrows too! With that V formation flying above us red white blue smoke. It was nice to see but I had no idea what the purpose of these aircrafts at that time(and I did not remember too much of it)... All I remember is that loud sound and how scared I was. :D I will be honest I did not enjoyed that too much. I wanted to go home. :D But nowadays things have changed. All I want to see is every single modern fighter jet or military aircrafts in real life. :D I did saw the Red Arrows in London when the Coronation flypast happened. Sadly a cut down version of it with just only helicopters and the Red Arrows and I was very very sad... I wanted to see the C-17 Globemaster the A400M Atlas, the C-130 Hercules, R-135W Rivet Joint, the Poseidon MRA1 I was sooo prepared for that day I remember... :D Ohh the Eurofighter Typhoons and the F-35B... Nevermind. Maybe next time. Iam 27 years old and I can tell you I have never seen these aircrafts in real life(From pictures or from videos its not the same experience). Only the Red Arrows for now. :D Anyways nice video mate! :D
Glad you enjoyed the video.
If you want to see those big aircraft like the C-17 and A400 best place to go would be either Brize Norton or Mildenhall. You can get real close to those big boys in flight there
The dog at 1:42 is like wtf was that, I nearly shit myself.
MAVERICK 42 dog ant even a posed to be at air show lond noise scers them
Serv-_-Tank z I don't think that's true mate.
Look it up should dog be aloud be near loud noise
I was there for that and it was bloody amazing!!!!!!!!! ;0
👍😎
Wrote that before i saw the whole video. AWESOME AT 1.40 mins Best ever video of the reds mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Arc Light Have you never swore then?? Another fake trying to play middle class, So sad.
Its just the Red Arrows.....I swear all the time but not on this topic where kids may look etc.
Not trying to cause trouble by the way just saying ?
+Arc Light I hear what your saying, But believe me they hear worse in the play ground. I shall remove the offending word
Glad you enjoyed it
Yeah. One of them always goes really low. Back in 2014 one of them was even lower, but it was just one pass and after the final split. But still. Thrilling :)
I remember that, over the war memorial? Here it is: ruclips.net/video/I3Mybu3-110/видео.html
Sends a chill they are awesome
Glad you enjoyed watching 👍
They have the best jobs imaginable...
That looks fucking awesome!!!!!
It is! Pleased you enjoyed it
That was a treat
Brilliant 👏
PLeased you enjoyed watching 👍
All display teams look up to the RAF red arrows, best in the world👍👍
....Just Brilliant!! 😊👍🏻👏🏻
That's awesome
That was awesome.
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Oh to slip the bonds of earth !!!!
Clearly you read and were inspired by it too...they were surly bonds by the way...
wow that's pretty close indeed =)
+Mad9977 The Reds are great fun up Beachy Head.
***** yes but no errors allowed...
+Mad9977 True, this is where they get to show how good they really are, flying on the edge, not much room for error. Love how they turn near inverted as they went over, then level it back out. Brilliant flying.
***** yes it's impressive =)
Brilliant videos
Fabulous!
fantastic wow
Looks better from there. I like being on the turn of the aircraft
BRUTAL SOUND AMAZING
Awesome!
Epic!!!
WHAT A JOB!!!!!
What if planes could fly backwords and forwards like at the end
harrier jump jet!!!
Russian su27 do
well they just did--whatsupwivya ?
AWESOME.
Great stuff, it looks like they put a lot of grins on peoples faces.
+314299 Shooting Channel They sure did. I'd love to see the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds display Eastbourne.
+bobsurgranny I've seen the Blue Angels display a couple years ago when they were at our local airshow (Atlantic Canada), they put on a great display.
+bobsurgranny that was amazing. Have you heard the news about Concorde ?
Got to wait till next year to see them fly over beachy head again
They don't fly anywhere near the cliffs anymore as it's far too dangerous ahahhaahaha
Talk about OTT elf and safety
WOW amazing mate!!!!!! Do they fly there every display season?? If so please give me the exact location, im coming next year
And people still ask why secondary crowds are a thing. Until you've been stood in a field in the middle of a large airshow display, you will never know the joy!
Hoofing. Could do with a flyby like that when the fly at Bray in Ireland
Im watching right now from the fillfines yehey
I hope you don't mind - I have shared your video with 'The Red Arrows - Pride of Britain' Facebook group
+stephen young That's fine.
Thanks BYG, that was great. 200 feet clearance on that second one ? :)
+ping pong Glad you got to see it. I would say around 50-100 foot, good buzz whatever though, definitely is lower than appears.
Oh yay :)
Thought in the interests of safety display aircraft were not allowed to fly that low over the public. But I love it.
Ronald Patterson
+ Better if you don't fly on holiday then, in the interest of safety, enjoy live, take a risk.......they are clear to do that because of the open ground around.
They do this over my house most days in winter, as I live near their base.
Got them in at CBG tomorrow!!
+Elliot L CBG-Spotter Nice one, that'll keep you busy!
I like the colour red and because the red arrows are stream lined Helen Moore
Gotta feel bad for the dogs! XD
+Oliver Aaron (ChiefIntelGaming) Oh he loved it, tail wagging and everything!
Ilike this aircruft speed
It's very nice
Where's the clip from the close up still you use in the thumbnail??
It's quite clearly an edited thumbnail
@@pixelflow7083 Yeah... total prick
You can say what you like but the fact is I always use a shot from the video. Using the original thumbpic just doesn't do it justice for how low it is.
Ah, the good old days of air shows with planes flying over the crowd before the health & safety brigade took over, all because of one pilot's mistake at Shoreham.
Yep pretty pathetic what they've done
was it complete coincidence, or was it part of a show?
Repositioning for the show.
Thought they werent allowed to fly at below 300ft over crowds? Very impressive though
This wasn't the crowd, the show "crowd" is on the seafront.
Ah that makes sense. Must have been such a surreal sight seeing and hearing them fly past this low!
samcdigweed They're not allowed to fly that low over built up areas. Otherwise, they're allowed to should it be necessary. And I don't think anyone was complaining! :)
I give them permission to fly over me
Wow that was very low lol
Don't jump lol
Have a great sunday
Such a buzz having them fly over head at full tilt like that 😎
Pleased you enjoyed watching 👍
Brilliant
Pleased you enjoyed it
Oh yeah !
What camera do you use?
This was the PJ780VE
I don’t know why but the Blue Angels seem more arrow dinamic you know? And please don’t science the hell out of me in the comments I still think the Red Arrows are slightly better than the Blue Angels cause they have a lot more stunt planes but... yeah..
Imagine having a Hawk jet to just nip around in...just going to the beach for a couple hours...but the beach is 30 miles away....yeah its ok, taking the hawk, be there in 5 mins
Wow. Nuf said :)
I wonder if Airbourne will ever come back?
Don't see why not, just wish they'd fly closer to Beachy
Look at that scary dog at 1:46 lol
Were they told to fly that low?
Just re-positioning for the next part of the display and giving folks a great low flyby buzz on the hill in the process 👍😉
❤
I have had my name on a red arrow’s wing
To be honest, I think the Reds might be pretty upset with this. If that was an "airshow crowd" then that would be illegal flying. This has been a loophole for some time, in that "unofficial" crowds weren't factored into display lines. After the tragedy at Shoreham that has changed, and I I suspect the ultra-professional reds will be re-risk assessing this kind of thing and I doubt you'll see them this low over the crowds at this point again in future.
Kind of sad, I know, but that's the way of the world.
yheaaaa where is it please? thx
ou cela se passe t'il ? merci
+Manuella Jacquet Place called Beachy Head on the south coast of England.
A good video made underwhelming by the clickbait thumbnail.
Sadly under the new display rules things like this are no longer allowed, the distance changes are quite harsh .
OTT Elf and safety culture is spoiling the fun in everything, needs to change.
@@bobsurgranny I think obviously Shoreham had a lot to do with it and therefore changes were kinda forced on everybody. I can see both points of view but of course safety for everybody must come first.
Looked like the aircraft stayed well away from beachy head this year
Yep because apparently it's far too dangerous now hahaha
Don't normally see them that low
I went to one today but the red arrow got canceled.
It's a real bummer when it happens, I ran up beachy head from the bottom to this location once and they did their opening flypast and buggered off
