I love the Combat Patrol format, aka 40K lite. I like the variety of forces available to build and paint. I'd rather build several smaller forces than build up to a single large 40K force. More battle reports would be appreciated.
I am a huge fan of Combat Patrol. Such a great format for the game. It’s been very easy to play some quick games. Feels perfect for learning the rules for the larger game.
Totally agree, plus they are reasonably balanced like kill teams. So you don't instantly lose at list building because your opponent took at S tier list or your total counter
Nice game 😁 17:03 Don’t think you have to wait until the next round to bring them back. The stratagem happens in the Reinforcements Phase, not at the end or after.
That sounds like a fun match next time we record combat patrol! If Seth and I are in the house that day We have both of them painted up and ready to go
Teachings of the Lion only applies to Infantry units. I believe I saw you use that strat on the Dread. Which can still shoot in engagement range because of Big gun never tire.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE LION DIDNT TEACH HIS DREADNAUGHT HOW TO DO THAT? Good catch. while its true you can shoot a few of your guns, the Blast keyword explicitly prohibits shooting models that are engaged with the attacker's models (i.e. you). I used the ploy in the first place to be able to shoot my macro plasma. definitely not nearly as strong since the dread cant get away from melee.

The dark angels patrol i comically overpowered.
I tabled the tyranids using it in about 2 turns as well. The dreadnaught is a one man army

Hard to see the dice on the tray though.
Loved the video! Would like to see Astra Militarum vs. Necrons combat patrol next round!

Yeah, I have been playing this Patrol and the Death Guard poxwalkers really gunk up a dread if they get in on it
