The only thing you have different to what I use in Rope Access is you have a wrist loop on the top of your Hand Ascender to help pull it up. Plus the addition of a Foot Ascender. I like it, I'm going to have to give this a try.
Hi Henrik, thanks for sharing your video. Luckily RUclips recommended it to me as I’ve been searching similar videos. This is only the second time that I’ve seen a hand loop added to an ascender. It looks like an elegant addition and makes for a smoother ascent. The hand loop looks tiny - can I ask you what length it is and maybe where I could source one?
Thank you for the video. It's really very comfortable. But it's reasonably also to use second rope with ASAP LOCK for safety. Single rope is dangerously.

I do not work with rope access. I use SRT when we practice the hobby Geocaching and free climbing and then never use backup ropes.
@@sergeivershinin549 Rope Access technicians are using a back up line because they are working and there are many things that can cut or damage your ropes, welding, grinding, sharp edges or chemicals. I did the trainings for rope access in germany and what I learned is that the people telling you to use two ropes for hobby and freetime are never experts themselfs. A single rope for hobby is more than capable to carry you, all you need to too obey is edgr prptection.
My boss taught me how to climb 4 years ago and all we use is SRT with a Blake's hitch and saddle nothing else I've never used an Ascender is there any place I could try them out without paying so much to buy one
How did you unclip the chest ascender? Did you just pull your weight up using the hand ascender to get rid of tension on the chest ascender? How long should the leg loop be in proportion to your body? Thank you.
@ nice - we cache too.... most geocachers will use a doubled up ladder to get 8m+ up, then free climb without a rope in sight..... I'll take SRT or even dDRT thanks! :)
Good that you are attentive. Of course you should wear gloves. Saw now that I have it on the way up and on the way down but have missed it in the middle part where I switch to rappelling.
This is the one of the mains maneuvres of irata:) good.
awesome, i have Petzl Croll and Ascension just need to buy foot ascender. Thanks for the demo

@ Yes, thank you, I already found your answer to this question below.
I would use safety rope in any cases :-)
@@sergeivershinin549When top rope or lead climbing you can't use backup and you are right climbing is dangerous.

Lotta moving parts.
forgot to close your Croll :P
You are absolutely right. I forgot. Good that you are attentive. 👍
@ attentive or just OCD lol :P

Also wanted to add: Really cool demonstration!!!
Yes exactly. Unfortunately do not have a good answer regarding the length of the loop. But think it should be quite long so you only take short steps.
You made coming off the croll look easy, I always take a few goes!
Backup line?
