Will you plz review the XK A900. IT LOOKS JUST LIKE THE A600 BUT IT'S SUPPOSED TO MADE OF EPP FOAM. I trust you and your channel and I had the a600 but the EPS phone didn't hold up for me
Excellent review... Impressive how this plane can handle the wind, much better than the more expensive one I have. current price under $75. looks like fun, consider getting one. Thanks.
Thanks so much. I have been investigating this plane and was about to ask you to do it and then you uploaded it! Great. I am definitely going to buy one. I just need to save a bit! I had a 3ch F949 and now I think I'm ready to move to something like this to learn 3d stunts and maneuvers and just for fun 4ch park flying!
+jst4curiosity That's what I'm going to do today. I did a test flight of it already though (no video). You get into trouble, just press the button, and it immediately levels off. It's really amazing. Am going to try to demonstrate that today.
It's out of stock wonder for how long. It says Package Contents: 1 x Airplane, 1 x Set Wing, 2 x Strengthening Rod, 1 x Battery, 2 x Charger, 2 x Blades, 1 x Manual. Is everything I need in the box even the transmitter. Your the best Quadcopter 101 for taking so much time to answer all of us.
Brings back memories of my single channel r/c days with fixed wing trainers. They were all high wing aircraft with plenty of decalage (higher angle of attack on the wing than on the stab). I remember flying on windy days where it was all I could do to keep the nose into the wind, and watch it ascend vertically, and when I either cut throttle or the fuel ran out, it would descend (mostly) vertically. One thing I have to question about this aircraft ... what of some kind of LVC warning? If you fly a Lipo past a certain voltage level, you'll ruin the battery. On a quad, usually they have flashing LEDs. I saw no kind of warning system. Pretty limited amount of travel on the rudder .. when you do get to flying in manual mode, that would make doing "hammerhead stall turns" more difficult ... but then, you'll probably have other things on your mind than doing any really advanced maneuvers. Not surprising that someone finally put a decent flight control board into a fixed wing aircraft ... its about time. I agree it will make for a great beginner's airplane ... as long as they remember to keep it UPWIND at all times, they should be okay. Thanks for the review ... Cheers!
+thafactor24 You're preaching to the choir .... I know EXACTLY how hard it was to fly R/C airplanes "back in the day", since I flew them "back in the day" (my 1st single channel transmitter used TUBES and required a large 1 1/2 volt battery for the tube filaments, and three 67 1/2 volt batteries to make up the B+ supply).
I bought one after watching your video, it's great, I am pleased you gave instructions on how to connect the ailerons. Thanks great videos.I Mike from UK
Excellently talked thru video. Even I could understand LOL. I have one unboxed as yet. I'm a drone flyer so it must wait it's turn. I'm trying to build my kit form S550 hexacopter from parts including ground station using a PX4 flight controller.
Nice plane, handles the wind well, I have a few with that "safe" mode, Like the way you forget which button is which, I am always giving verbal comments, saying "read the instructions" lol, but with as many models you fly, I would get confused too. Great flight time, and most likely can carry a Mobius too
very nice feature for its price and size. i remember how toys like this would cost more than twice. and it's a mini. you can put an AOMWAY integrated video and transmitter on top of it and it's an instant FPV. I doubt it can carry a mobius though.
Three Questions my friend. 1. How are the transmitter controls set up? Mode 2 ? 2. How much assembly required. 3. For an absolute beginner RC pilot, what's easier, this or a very stable beginner quadcopter?
+Wobble Copter Mode 2. Need to plug in the aileron control wires, and screw on the wing with one screw. I like this as it practically flies itself in 6G mode. But you can put it in 3D mode to practice 4 channel flying. If you get into trouble, just press down on the pitch/roll stick to go back to 6G mode, and the airplane will automatically right itself.
+Quadcopter 101....OK, in flying 3D if I get into trouble push down on the pitch roll stick. I'm always in trouble with my wife, will pushing down on the pitch roll stick help me out there. Hope it has a 6g wife option, lol.
Love the video!! I see them on Amazon for around $100 bucks,... I hope it is as easy as you say, I'm ganna buy one! (never flown an airplane, I'm a quadcopter dude)
hi nice test but i have a beginner question: what is the differnce between 6g and 3g mode in the behaviour of the plane? in fact could we see it on the remote an item which show the mode of flight 6 or 3g? thanx a lot
There is no indicator on the remote. But it's very noticeable how the aircraft behaves between 6G and 3D. In 6G mode, the aircraft is using six gyro and accelerometer sensors to automatically stabilize the aircraft. It can not tilt over, nor bank left/right nor pitch forward/backward greater than about 30 degrees. This makes it very easy for beginner fliers to avoid most crashes, even on windy days. But 3D mode turns the stabilization off for expert pilots. In this mode the aircraft can roll and loop and do other acrobatics. But its also much easier to crash.
Caro amigo que aviaozinho show de bola que vôo presionante mesmo no vento forte ele plana que é a beleza também o motor é de respeito brushelles.😍👀👀👍👏👏👏👏👊
I'm sure I will like it. It will be mine first plane. So will be new experience for me. For now I had just quads. But I doubt that neighbours will like it. ;)
The FX800 series Flybear's are cheap, safe, great fliers, and excellent for young pilots. ruclips.net/channel/UC90A4JdsSoFm1Okfu0DHTuQsearch?query=flybear The exception is the FX861 which is more for intermediate fliers.
Is it true that the gyro stabilization doesn't turn off completely when switching between 3D and 6g? I noticed that in another video. It was still reacting to movement in both modes.
Auto leveling is turned off to enable loops and rolls, or other acrobatics. It's still stabilized against wind gusts. But is it working now with the quick press of the button instead of the long press?
Hi Quad 101 -- how would you compare this plane to the WL Toys F959 "motor/glider" in terms of ease of use & overall experience for a fixed wing newbie -- if had to go with only 1 - which one would you recommend ?? Thx!!
+Brian Gonzalez That's a tough one as I enjoy flying them both. Actually, I would start with the cheaper 3 channel 959 (throttle, elevator, rudder). It's a tough bird, and a great intro to fixed wing. But if you find that you like flying fixed wing, consider upgrading later to the A600 to start into 4 channel flying (ailerons).
+LNX Gaming I'm sure you could do something like that. But recommend keeping the total weight of your system under 20 grams. Although it lifted the 808 keychain camera, I don't think that it could lift much more weight.
Ill keep that in mind and check the weight of my camera system befor i get this. I have some FPV quadcopters but have never flown a traditional RC aircraft and would like to get into it and graduate to long range large aircraft to do some 5-10km flights some day.
Sure, try the following. It's cheap, yet it flies great ruclips.net/video/FRczO7DQcLo/видео.html The stock batteries don't provide very much flight time. But you can double the flight time with these batteries goo.gl/F3OCIJ
Hey not to be jury but i don't like your picture for youtube like it should be letters not a quadcopter but you can keep it that way but any was i LOVE this plan
thanx alot! i ve just test it in two modes and it's more fun the 3 g mode for sure else i'm a beginner i succes to make looping and other figures acrobatics that i do'nt know the name lol!.... until and my wings were torn away in flight !the plane were in vertical position and power in lower position a litle wind blows but i don't understood what it happened:(? and of course the body of the plane scratch on a ground ..i will try to fix it with glue whith special glue i had but i not very optimistic!:(
Were you able to turn off the gyro stabilization. I followed the manual, but I still can't seem to get it to turn off. I pressed the right stick down for 1 second, and it stayed on, just like yours did in the video. I tried other things too, with no success. Suggestions? -coptergirl
Hi there, I am Piero from Italy, Milano surroundings, please could you tell me the name of the place where you work with your models? Drones or planes, it is near desert or similar? Thank you. Regards. Piero
I just found you channel. and that my Friend, Is China Lake, I was Stationed out there in the 2000's at VX-9, it has a Great Runway for R/C, with that Said, im not sure who the President of the club is now, but, in mid 2000's the prez there was a douch bag, He was the direct reason i started flaying at the park in town. sad really, there was a Lot or great members there, and they got me in to the Hobby, hope all is well in Ridge Crest
I've flown quadcopters and am thinking about trying an R/C plane. However, I'm imagining I would crash and break it first flight so something like this might suit me.
Hi! I´ve bought this plane but I´m not able to activate the 3D mode by pressing the right stick. I don´t know if something is wrong or if it's my fault. Any advise? Thank you!
+Adam Woodward Although it is extremely easy to fly because of its automatic gyro system, it is a 4 channel aircraft (throttle, rudder, elevator, and aileron) which may be confusing to a new pilot. Two channel aircraft (throttle and rudder) are very good beginner aircraft, and can be very inexpensive ruclips.net/video/9ffDCVQ8RDk/видео.html Two channel are good for beginner pilots as they help the pilot learn to maintain orientation on the airplane when its coming and going, yet don't overburden the new pilot with too many controls.
I'm looking for a clone for the x5c-1 but one without a camera. The bayangtoys clone has a camera. Do you have an idea on which clone I should buy which doesn't have a camera? Thankful for answer!
+bloodybotter I agree with Brian...FY326 Q7...same as Brian mentioned but he left off the Q7 Quadcopter 101 has a link to buy it, I think it cost less than 30 dollars and it's ready to fly.
+bloodybotter the only way to tell of the board will be red or green is look at it when the battery is out, you can see it in there without removing a screw. All the ones I have with a red board fly great and have good range but many have complained about the red board. On my channel I have a distance check on the red board and brought it back to me after it hit 120 meters.
+Ivan Chan The hardest thing to learn is maintaining orientation, and you should have that from flying the FX803. So yes, I think you may be ready for this.
+Roger Paull It's not just gyros for auto leveling. It also has 3 accelerometers that sense turbulence and sudden wind gusts. That's how I was able to do those snake turns and vertical landings so easily in the wind. They do make auto-leveling boards that you can add to your model. If you shop for one, make sure that its "six axis stabilized" (3 gyros for auto leveling, and 3 accelerometers for wind gust corrections)
+Roger Paull By the way, I'm going out today to fly a gyro stabilized only aircraft (B-17 bomber) today to show the differences. Keep an eye out for its upcoming video ;-)
+Daniel Scott It stands to reason if it gets out of range that it will not respond to the controller. Does the craft continue on its current flight path? (buh-bye)...Drop out of the sky like a rock? (where's my dust pan)...Or, return to its starting location (that would be a nice failsafe)?
Due to your fine video here, I got one of these. However, it will NOT enter into 6G mode. I've calibrated the gyros, etc. When I push down on the aileron stick, I get a beep, but the plane stays in 3D. Anyone have any ideas ? am I forgetting something ? BTW, when I apply throttle, the elevator moves up quite a bit; that doesn't seem right. Anyway, looks like i've received a faulty bird . . . Thanks, Bob p.s. I've contacted customer service.
+bobclarie You need to press it quickly, and it will switch modes with a short sounding "bedeep". If you press aileron stick too long, it will give a longer beep, but do nothing in terms of switching modes. Listen to how the beep should sound with a quick press of the aileron stick as I switch back and forth multiple time in the following video ruclips.net/video/DqLSPwS5-4Q/видео.html
+Quadcopter 101 Thanks for getting back so quickly. I re-watched the above mentioned video. Even with the quick push of the aileron stick, it will not switch to 6G stable mode. I get the same "bedeep" sound as on your video. Unfortunately it starts up in 3D and will NOT switch to 6G, gosh darn . Any other ideas ? Bob
+Quadcopter 101 When I hold the plane, and move it around, there is absolutely NO corrective movement from any of the control surfaces. The servos remain totally quite . . .
bobclarie Did you plug in the aileron servo wires into their connector wire plugs? This is a very important assembly step that is missing from the directions (bad on XK's part). There is a cable attached to the main circuit board that has two plugs attached to its end. You'll need to plug the aileron's servo wires from the wing into the plugs of this cable. And the wires are not coded which plug to insert. Thus you'll also need to verify that you inserted into the correct plugs by tilting the aircraft right and left. When tilted right, left aileron goes up/ right aileron down, and vice versa when tilted left.
I clocked it from TO to landing and the flight duration was 12 mins 21 seconds. It's not a good idea to deplete a lipo battery too much less than 3 volts...2.5 volts would be maximum, otherwise, the battery could be damaged...even catch fire. Using 3 volts as the maximum is much better!
Find it here RTF goo.gl/6yU8Cw
Will you plz review the XK A900. IT LOOKS JUST LIKE THE A600 BUT IT'S SUPPOSED TO MADE OF EPP FOAM. I trust you and your channel and I had the a600 but the EPS phone didn't hold up for me
Your a joy to listen to! You have such enthusiasm for the craft.
Thank you!
What a fantastic little plane that is, makes me wanna fly fixed wing again. Nice job
I have the apprentice s and I ordered this for 77 bucks, it looks better than the sport cub s. Great video.
Excellent review... Impressive how this plane can handle the wind, much better than the more expensive one I have. current price under $75. looks like fun, consider getting one. Thanks.
I don't think I've seen you have so much fun and I watch almost everything you put out!! Maybe you should fly more airplanes! Love it Brother!!

I needed to see it flying in the WIND and that little guy ROCKS thanks !!
Great demo and commentary. It was good to see you showing the controls.
I just bought one of these about a month ago . I have not tried it to fly it yet but I will . I think it will teach me better skills at flying .
Amazing features and stability for a $109 RC airplane.. Would like to see you fly it with the gyro stabilization and accellerometer off.

+Ivan Chan That's all done automatically with it's gyro and accelerometer system. That's why I really like this airplane, I think it's so cool :)
+Quadcopter 101 Also can play in small places
I’m time traveling back to tell you I may get this one. You know... for my first winged aircraft. I like it!
Yep, even today it's a very good plane.
very nice feature for its price and size. i remember how toys like this would cost more than twice. and it's a mini. you can put an AOMWAY integrated video and transmitter on top of it and it's an instant FPV. I doubt it can carry a mobius though.

It is still a great beginner's plane, especially at its current price.
Thank you. I ordered it just few minutes ago. Banggood have 12th Anniversary sales and on some staff also this code: 12annvex-8% works. (Y)

+bloodybotter Not really a clone of the X5c but far far far better is the HT F801, I think GB has it on sale for < $36 right now.
Flies like a quad :-)
It sounds like the next video should be an assembly tutorial. How to explain spending money on all these will be the tutorial after that!
Is it a good idea to practise with this when I frequently fly FX803 ?
+Ivan Chan The hardest thing to learn is maintaining orientation, and you should have that from flying the FX803. So yes, I think you may be ready for this.
+Quadcopter 101 Oh well thank you dude :-) I am already a subscriber since May 2015 ^冊^
Brill plane unbelievable for the money I’ve bought two of them 😜👍
nice rc plane
whats the wind add?
can't you just add a flight controller to any rc home built plane and get this same auto leveling?
Nice!
Don't touch "gearbest" go to Banggood or other supplier, mines from Banggood.
neat it looks a lot like a mister mulligan but with a different colors.
It's a model of the DeHaviland Beaver, an iconic bush plane.
Unfortunately GearBest is awful to do business with if you ever need customer service. I advise steering clear of them at all cost.
Always appreciate your videos, but that landing blew chunks.
could somebody recommend a rc helicopter for my son ? $20-$100 range
Wondering, what happens when the craft gets out of range?
+MrTeddyMMM It stops responding. Or, on better planes, there will be a warning.
+Daniel Scott
It stands to reason if it gets out of range that it will not respond to the controller. Does the craft continue on its current flight path? (buh-bye)...Drop out of the sky like a rock? (where's my dust pan)...Or, return to its starting location (that would be a nice failsafe)?
+MrTeddyMMM Hahaha. For this model you will experience delayed response times, then it will bomb out of the sky :)
+Daniel Scott I see, so if you try long range flights keep a dustpan handy.......Doh!
+MrTeddyMMM No, not really. It's pretty tough to crashes ruclips.net/video/tcy_QghRR9g/видео.html
I love it.
What is the control range of this ?
Also how long is the longest flight time ?
+Ivan Chan About 200 meters. About 10 to 14 minutes, depending on how you fly it (in this video I got close to 14 minutes just cruising in the wind).
Hi how Much was it
110
Bob
bobclarie How do you know it's in 3D mode and not 6G mode? (note that there is no indication on the LCD screen to tell you which mode that you're in).
What is the flight time of the model airplane?
about 13 1/2 minutes
I clocked it from TO to landing and the flight duration was 12 mins 21 seconds. It's not a good idea to deplete a lipo battery too much less than 3 volts...2.5 volts would be maximum, otherwise, the battery could be damaged...even catch fire. Using 3 volts as the maximum is much better!
Hey me friends what the best drone for 80 Dollars!! Please Tell me !?
Dr3 Dexter syma x8c
Cool
amazing
Oh sh*t. My plane got stuck in a huge tree.......
Where to get more batteries?
Right here. Note that they're restocking, but should have it by next week. goo.gl/cGJrZR
Quadcopter 101 thank you much, I'm kinda new to rc planes so this will be good, you are one of my favorite youtubers
Quadcopter 101 is there also a place to get a case for it?
Sorry, not that I know of.
