  • @RC-Flight
    @RC-Flight Год назад +2

    RC stands for radio control. A remote is what you use to turn your TV on and off. 🙂🇨🇦

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  Год назад +3

      It depends how old you are and how long you have been in the RC Hobby, and I'me guessing you are as old as me or older. I've been in the hobby since 2013 and when I began we said RADIO CONTROL when we referred to items in the RC Hobby. We also called the item in our hands a RADIO or TRANSMITTER. Then DJI came along and used the word REMOTE. Then people starting calling the RC hobby the REMOTE CONTROLLED hobby. Since I do everything in the RC hobby and my audience is both YOUNG and OLD, I use all terms interchangeably. I bet, since you are of the OLD generation (as I am) that you still think a DRONE is something with 4 motors that takes off vertically right? Well as of 2020 in most countries a DRONE is anything remotely controlled and is unmanned, so an RC Plane, RC Helicopter are both considered drones.

    • @RC-Flight
      @RC-Flight Год назад +1

      Yup I’m old, well not really 61 LOL. Been flying Rc since 1982, before that free flight as a kid. Yes everything that is Radio controlled is a drone.
      I’m licensed to fly all types. I fly Fixed wing, glow engine, gasoline engine and even some electric. Glow engines are my go to favourite. Love the smell and the sound. I fly dji drones Phantom 3 and a spark, freestyle quads and electric heli. Don’t get me started on people calling glow engine Nitro lol.

    A clear explanation of what the buttons do would be most helpful, hey?

  • @jeffwoodard
    @jeffwoodard Год назад +1

    Steve. What happens if the plane goes out of range? flies till it crashes?

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  Год назад +2

      It would then do the same thing as every RC plane in the hobby… and that is, the motor stops and the plane comes down to the ground (hopefully in a nice glide path). You will rarely hear of this happening in the RC plane hobby because all RC plane pilots only fly as far as they can see and the smaller the size of the plane, the less you see at a distance, so you never fly far away.

      I would not say it is underpowered... I would not say it is overpowered either. In manual mode it flew like your typical RC plane, but you would not break any speed records.

    Infelizmente toda essa linha XK pra mim e ruim , tenho um helicóptero Xk 200, e ele só voa de costas, aliás agora nem voa mais , pois o rotor de cauda não funciona, apesar do motor estar bom , então minha avaliação dessa linha e ruim.

    WARNING!!! 1 small oversight that Steve has committed here! This plane looks like it is a full brother to the XK A280 P-51 - BUT it is not! Although there are the same sockets for S-bus and DSM satellites on the flight board in this, they ARE NOT activated as they are in the P-51. Nor is the stock protocol the same. The P-51 is available but the A300 is not yet hacked it seems.
    For up-to-date information on both planes check the RCGroups forums threads on both planes. There is plenty of information there on how to get the best out of these nice looking sub-250gm planes.
    We enjoy our XK A280s (not quite stock!) and are currently setting up our newly arrived A300s.
    Note that this information is for the units we have in hand - things can change quickly in the RC world! 😉😊

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  Год назад +2

      For me and Jedi Steve.... We don't take our RADIOMASTER TX16S and bind to these babies... we simply stick our own receiver in them, and plug the existing servos into the receiver (no hack required). Hacks are more for people who wish to use the built in gyro stability features.

    • @theoztreecrasher2647
      @theoztreecrasher2647 Год назад +1

      @@CAPTAINDRONE798 Again 1 small oversight Steve - you COULD do that with the Aileron servos. BUT the Elevator and Rudder servos are integral to the flight boards on pretty well all these little Tinker-Toys. So a bit more work required. Buy the foam shell for the most economical changeover. 😉😊
