Also when prepering this quest there was two versions with or without Geralts dialogue. It's because Polish Geralt Jacek Rozenek had a stroke in 2019 and is partially paralysed. I always thought he was complimenting Geralt's swords, for sure. Otherwise he would be kind of an idiot barking 'top notch swords' when he has none to sell.

I played the entire game on death march without out even using potions or decoctions at all other than swallow. It's too easy to make the combat easy in this game even without them.
For those (like me) that are playing this game again, there is a new scene with Yennefer at the end of Kaer Morhen's quests, those that comes before Geralt goes to rescue Ciri. Both Geralt and Yen kiss each other before he go, it is not a very important cutscene but a little detail for those - like me - that felt a lack of tenderness on both of them during the main quests. I got this cutscene during her romance, so I don't know if it's different if you romance Triss only.

I know that this would take a long time to do and probably wouldn't bring in the big views, but I'd like a video showing EVERYTHING they changed. Like a split-screen side by side displaying "before" and "now". It would be really cool for those of us who haven't touched the Witcher 3 for multiple years now. Otherwise when I replay it in the future I'll definitely be going like: "Wait, I remember this was different. Maybe not, maybe it's just my imagination." all the time. 😅
I'd love to see the balance changes mentioned somewhere. First thing i noticed once i loaded into the game was that 4 decoctions and Euphoria does no longer triple your damage, and also that toxicity level starts taking your health down even with this ability that used to make it 100% immune. Would love to see if other builds have also been tweaked.
Top notch swords, was referring to the Witcher's swords! And he still says it, I went to Novigrad today for the first time, I had my Griffin swords i had crafted on my back and he said the line. Cos he was impressed with my crafting skillz bro.
Food doesn't restore health as quickly when you have the 20 minute duration perk. That and maxed out Quen were always part of my ideal build, but it's not as effective now. 😭😅
Polish voice actor of Vesemir passed away last year and I believe that's the reason why we can't talk to Vesemir, he was a very important person to us Poles and CDPR
What if you do the quest after getting Osmunds diagram and find out what happened to him before you do this quest? Will Geralt be able to explain why Osmund never came
Werewolf decoction changed too, since sprinting no longer consumes stamina Was kinda irrelevant but I used werewolf decoction a lot lol Now it regenerates stamina during combat, while its clear and a full moon
I personally loved the new quest. Perfect mix of exploring and finding new stuff as well as a cool story and nice little side character ... PLUS THE NETFLIX ARMOR
Something I encountered with the Devil's Pit bandits - I started the quest on an existing pre-next gen save and it did in fact respawn the bandits - but I also got the dialogue saying Geralt had already cleared them.
I always used to use a mod to make guards not immortal demigods, now finally CDPR did it themselves! One other thing I would like to see is the world reacting and changing according to whichever side happens to win the war (Nilfgaard, Radovid or Djikstra)! :D - This was one of my very rare complaints bout the game so far (though there is a mod for this as well)...
Another fight that they tweaked was the Djin fight. I was playing Death March with enemy scaling on. I accidentally my Witcher armour a level early but was close to the level up so thought I’d get the required xp through the Skjal quest and the lead up to the Djin fight…. I didn’t. So I fought the Djin with Skajl’s steel sword and random armour scraps that I looted on the way. I beat it on my second try and was even surviving hits and the fight was easier than I expected. I think CDPR went into this fight and tweaked it
Bookshop merchant near the top notch sword guy. Usually after finishing transaction you exit standing on top of a pile of books. Now you exit standing on the floor beside the books.
Just a minor detail but CDPR kind of created a continuity mistake with the "In the Eternal Fire's Shadow" Quest. Upon finding the witcher trapped in a cavern made from rock salt, Geralt notes, that it was a clever way of containing the evil spirit in the cave. However, in a quest in Novigrad, Geralt is sent to investigate a house that is supposed to be haunted. (I forgot the name of the quest but its the one where you find a Golem in the basement left behind by the former tenant). You can find a line of salt on the floor, next to the stairs that leed into the basement. When interactin with the salt Geralt will kinda scoff and say "Salt to keep away evil spirits. Useless superstition", which contradicts his statement in the new quest, praising his fellow witcher for trapping the spirit in a salt cave.
In White orchard the frying pan mission, i'd be interested to know if they "fixed" Thalers monocle. Many years ago a dev said that it is usable but it never has been.
Hehe yeah, i found lantern, but still torch outlights it :D Also for top notch swords, i would make something like "top notch swor....errr...i wanted to say armors" or something like that just as funny easter :D
He still says “TOP NOTCH SWORDS” for my play through? Maybe it does for some ppl or maybe diff versions of the nxt Gen update (like ps5, Xbox & PC could be different🤷♂️) who knows lol, but at least it’s not 100% gone haha b/c I’m currently re playing it on the PS5, so ig the PS5 Edition the meme is still alive Lmao
I really enjoy your content, been subscribed since the very beginning and i'm glad your subscribers are increasing. The quality and love you put in every video is an example for lots of other content creators. Keep up the good work! :)
They really changed the skills. Like now you can’t upgrade your attacks up to 50% damage increase, just 30%. Basically all skills that used to have 5 points to them now only have 3. So instead of being increase your overdose threshold from 50-100%, it only goes to 80%. Also now you only get 0.5 more toxicity tolerance per formula known instead of 1. Those are just some examples. Also infinite stamina when running. Some of the decoctions are changed too like the werewolf one that used to give infinite stamina for running and the relievers decoction now also stops specters from using their powers. Some of the others changed too. The mutations are also nerfed like euphoria . Overall it just means I can’t make my classes as OP as they were.
Don't know if you've done this already but if you go back to the dwarf in white orchard when his new shop has been built and if he sent the other guy to the ropes you have a dialogue option that warns him if the tie turns he better leave with the nilfgardians
Good video. About talking to Vesemir. His polish voice actor had sadly passed away few months ago, so it might be the reason why he doesn't have anything new to say.
Top notch swords guy was my main seller during the main quest pre Blood and Wine. His words have been carved in my brain forever. Truly a bittersweet change
I understand why it probably happened, considering its been years since the original voice over work was done, but Doug Cockle's (Geralt's) voice sounded a bit different almost hoarse or like he was having a harder time talking than normally... in that quest with the forgotten witcher gear. Kind of like Steve O's voice sounds like its so hard to talk for him... kind of the same way but not in any way as severe naturally! Don't get me wrong, I think the voice acting in this game is superb, having played it so much the difference was just very obvious!
There's a couple bugs in my game (series X), like when I use Witcher sense to find clues there's no longer magnifying glasses on the mini map, if I shoot down sirens or any other flying enemies , I can't finish them off , it gives me the prompt to do it but Geralt and the creature both kinda twitch and then nothin happens. Also there was a glitch where if you renovate your house Corvo Blanco and then someone moved in at the epilogue , there would be a glitch where some of your furniture gets moved but there is a floating candle in mid air , it's still there .... really wish they fixed that. They DID fix some of the swords sticking out of the sheath for being too long or misshaped , that was cool
But that armorer would only be there, like, 1/3 of the time and I always had to meditate in the square to get him to appear. Did they change that, too?
So you’re telling me now I can run through the streets of Novigrad stealing everything and not have to flee from a swarm of one-shot guards.

I also noticed that geralt will now light the torch when he equips it, small detail but appreciated
Top notch swords, was referring to the Witcher's swords! And he still says it, I went to Novigrad today for the first time, I had my Griffin swords i had crafted on my back and he said the line. Cos he was impressed with my crafting skillz bro.
3:14 my top 5 five Characters so far:
1. Bart
2. Johnny
3. Gearlt
4. Zoltan
5. Duren the Tailor 😂😂😂
Food doesn't restore health as quickly when you have the 20 minute duration perk. That and maxed out Quen were always part of my ideal build, but it's not as effective now. 😭😅
Oh, wow, I didn't realise and know about that. This is why I was having such hard time in the wandering in the dark cave and some other boss fights.
Man overpowerd guards were good to keep you in check not stealing in citys. And a good practice too. I will miss those
I still hear him say top notch swords from time to time to this day
Polish voice actor of Vesemir passed away last year and I believe that's the reason why we can't talk to Vesemir, he was a very important person to us Poles and CDPR
Please consider a video about combat, so glad you’re here to break down the new updates!
Still can't believe you got the early access and xLetalis didn't...
Yeah, the candle lantern took me by surprise. Literally.
I really think it sucks that you can’t save reinald’s philter to use later if you want. It’s either that fight or you lose it.
They took out top notch sword guy? Next thing you know, there will be no more pam param!
I kind of liked how the guards were gods they were a great way to test new builds and damage
I hated it cuz they took like all my coin when I lost to them. So glad I have a chance against them now haha
What if you do the quest after getting Osmunds diagram and find out what happened to him before you do this quest? Will Geralt be able to explain why Osmund never came
Bro told me top notch swords and I thought he meant mine but he also sold two relic Witcher swords so that was cool
Werewolf decoction changed too, since sprinting no longer consumes stamina
Was kinda irrelevant but I used werewolf decoction a lot lol
Now it regenerates stamina during combat, while its clear and a full moon
the quick sign cast are such a good feature
I personally loved the new quest. Perfect mix of exploring and finding new stuff as well as a cool story and nice little side character ... PLUS THE NETFLIX ARMOR
Aka the trash bag guards
@N7 Andy and I’m talking about the guards.
@N7 Andy if this is what causes you to be concerned then you must have everything in life figured out. Settle down kid
@@gregc.9313 All he did was ask a question LoL like how slow are you really?
@@jonathancraig9587 apparently not as slow as you are. Humor much? Are you a rainbow boy? Oops did I mis-pronoun you miss? Have fun kid
Something I encountered with the Devil's Pit bandits - I started the quest on an existing pre-next gen save and it did in fact respawn the bandits - but I also got the dialogue saying Geralt had already cleared them.
I’ve had a few people saying that bug happened to them 😬
I always used to use a mod to make guards not immortal demigods, now finally CDPR did it themselves!
One other thing I would like to see is the world reacting and changing according to whichever side happens to win the war (Nilfgaard, Radovid or Djikstra)! :D
- This was one of my very rare complaints bout the game so far (though there is a mod for this as well)...
F for top notch swords guy, my favorite merchant :(
I used to use the guards as a survival mode. Anything under 5 and I could handle them.
I always took “top notch swords” as referring to Geralt’s swords, not the armorer’s.
Me too.
PLEASE do the video on the combat changes and their specifics, I would love it
Not to throw shade on anyone else but content creators with as good a command of the english language as you have are few and far between. 10/10.
The Vesemir thing propably didnt happen because Polish voice actor of Vesemir passed away in 2021
Thanks for watching and commenting congratulations I've a prize for you text now to claim..🎁🎉
Please make a video covering the changes to skills and abilities or combat overall. Great video as always!
In White orchard the frying pan mission, i'd be interested to know if they "fixed" Thalers monocle. Many years ago a dev said that it is usable but it never has been.
Devil’s Pit is turned into a hospital well there goes my Aerondite level farming
Please make a video about the combat changes can not find info about the changes
Also, they didn't get Vesemir to say anything, beacause polish voice actor for him unfortunately passed away
Don't know if you've done this already but if you go back to the dwarf in white orchard when his new shop has been built and if he sent the other guy to the ropes you have a dialogue option that warns him if the tie turns he better leave with the nilfgardians
He still says the swords line in other languages though
Neon Knight!!! Our walking-talking encyclopedia for everything Witcher!!! Take a bow, Sir!
very nice update!
keep being amazing Knight!
I found another helmet inside the nilfgaardian camp in a cart on top of a crate with nilfgaardian gauntlets and chest armour.
Didn't use* to work. Great video, mate! You have an awesome voice, and I laughed a couple times watching this video lol
Good video. About talking to Vesemir. His polish voice actor had sadly passed away few months ago, so it might be the reason why he doesn't have anything new to say.
Top Notch Swords guy still says his iconic line on my PS4
keep these videos coming Neon..your subs and views are climbing....great content..ty
awesome vid. love to see these secret additions in the update. Also, is it just me or does geralt's voice sound extra rough or "choppy" at 6:45 ?
Top notch swords guy was my main seller during the main quest pre Blood and Wine.
His words have been carved in my brain forever.
Truly a bittersweet change
I understand why it probably happened, considering its been years since the original voice over work was done, but Doug Cockle's (Geralt's) voice sounded a bit different almost hoarse or like he was having a harder time talking than normally... in that quest with the forgotten witcher gear. Kind of like Steve O's voice sounds like its so hard to talk for him... kind of the same way but not in any way as severe naturally!
Don't get me wrong, I think the voice acting in this game is superb, having played it so much the difference was just very obvious!
dude how do you have everything revealed in 0:55 on the map ? is that mod ? if so can you send link or name ?
I glad that the Top Notch Swords Guy it's Back!
What the hell? I got the hidden cutscene in freeing reinald. I thought that was the common scene
I’m loving these changes!
Fun thing I found in a farm in Velen, the shopkeeper talks about delicious milk and fresh eggs yet sells only bread and onions
You can enable the magnifying glasses for the minimap in settings
Polish voice actor who played Vesemir died a year ago, so probably that's why they skipped adding additional lines about Reinald.
i've been binge watching your videos ever since i started playing the witcher 3
Thanks for watching and commenting congratulations I've a prize for you text now to claim 🎁
I love how Reinald is voiced by Garrosh from WoW. His evil laugh is iconic.
Can you change characters like for example play free roam as ciri in the new update
Nice video, waiting for more :D
DUDE!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
But that armorer would only be there, like, 1/3 of the time and I always had to meditate in the square to get him to appear. Did they change that, too?
Awesome stuff man keep searching!
