Aputure killed the kinos and now they are coming for them skypanels! Aputure making the smartest business moves. They are also selling their own case and batteries, they are not only taking over the lighting game but now the trynna come for the everything film related! Letsssss gooo here for this!!!!!
I have 2 C120D II and 2 MCs and believe me when I say Aputure products are worth more than what they charge. Anything higher end is disgustingly over-priced and not usually as user friendly. Anything cheaper doesn't come close to the balance of quality, build, style, versatility or RELIABILITY. If you can stack your chips to make a purchase, you will not regret it one bit.
Oooooooo those hue like bulbs are what I'm most excited for. If it's a rgbww light that's less than 80$ that's going to be very desirable for streamers and any product photography with a small studio set
Am in film school, my Cinematography I and Production Design professor (he taught both) taught us gels before letting us mess with stuff like this (like the Arri Skypanel). I used CTBs and CTOs more than I used stuff like this for class assignment projects.
Blake B so did I, when I went to film school 15 years ago. You just wait another 10 years. Gels are not practical-you lose precious wattage. LEDs are the future.
@@davetinoco I hate the mess of things on a big production that bring bunch of gels, modifier and cutter that we don't even need half the time. I mean its like 10 year late for lighting to finally catch up lol. Like how digital replace film this should have happened earlier. Thank you aputure. good times we are living in indeed.
Hopefully the A7SIII and R5 will distract everyone long enough for me to catch one of these in stock and get my hands on one of these suckers lol. Preferable two of them haha.
Hi, just bought the 120d ii yesterday, it was tested and I tested it again too. But today, the control box won't turn-on. I checked the cables too and it looks fine.
00:30 Arri Skypanel S60 used as key light while the narrator says: "with the help of the Aputure family Nova was born. Still bought the P300c, no worries.
Is it flicker free? Because i get rid of mine ls1 because of flicker and try 300d mk2 and return it to store because of flicker, pwm lines when shooting with fast shutter.
How fast of a shutter? All modern LEDs use PWMs for dimming, but the Nova P300c has a frequency selection mode, where you can select between 10 slightly different frequencies to try to turn out any flicker issues you may have. All Aputure lights are rated to 20KHz, when dimmed.
@@aputurelighting 1/1000 all screen is filled with thin lines, at 1/2000 they are more visible. I was suprised that your light has this problem, i like how they look and feel but switched to other light without flicker problems.
If you want to sell lights to professionals at this cost, you have to include drawings and full photometric specification at the full range of settings as is expected in the professional segment. I would never buy an expensive light that does not come with full specification. RUclipsrs and amateurs are easily influenced into buying, especially when your products are only compared with very cheap lights, but those who need to combine lights or invest in the system of a single manufacturer need proper specification. It doesnt matter if it is a tiny studio with a 20,000 euro budget, or a rental company or a tv station with a 800,000 euro budget.
How about you guys make some lights sub $200 for us budding film makers. If Neweer can put out a light just as comparable to your 120D II for $120 I know you guys can too.
Newer lights break after the third time you use them. They're not even comparable to what Aputure is doing. Aputure is bringing you lights that usually cost an arm and a leg, at a lower price
You know those lights are cheap because they used cheap components and are of low light output and colour accuracy... three main points of which Aputure is not a part of. Also, these lights are aimed for semi-pro market, neewer is more for amateurs / very low end filmmaking
Never been disappointed in Aputure, probably the best on the market right now.
For the price :-)

This is why I love Aputure lights. They're always innovating new ways to light for every budget level of film making.
This light looks epic. Good to see Levi Allen get in there!
Congrats Aputure! Best company in the market!
😭😭😭 u just keep bringing these awesome lights while i am longing fr my 1st Apurture light 💡
Stop following them and focus on cheaper brands
Get the amaran MC. Great little guy. Super cheap right now.
Reed Leatherware Thanks fr suggesting 🙂
I actually meant to say the amaran al m9. Sorry.

The filmmaking market is blowing right now!!!!
Another lights that can look forward! Great job Aputure!
Banger after banger, I'm glad i held off on buying some arri equivalents

A dream come true! Awesome design and awesome features. Sad part? Price in Brasil of any products is beyond what I can pay.
You know I don't love it, but I am impressed the unit is able to maintain a similar output across the color temp spectrum.
Thanks Jay
One day they will teach the ancient practice of using gels in film schools...

Love my 120Ds and MCs. Can’t wait to get a few of these. And review them on the channel 😁
As someone who has my MC light right next to me, this light is AWESOME!
What's the light that's on the roof pointing down at 4:45 is that this light with a different softbox on it ?
What was that LED bulb kind thing you teased at the ending? Philips Hue better watch out!
it was them going "oh and we made a product you can actually afford" 😂😂 for real though RGBWW LED lights are amazing, keen to see the P300c

Yes I'm getting this for sure!
would love to see how it compares to the Digital Foto S300. Both seem very similar but the Aputure is au$3000 vs less than au$2000 for the DF...
The softbox for this has been out of stock for months. What gives? When will it be available?
I'm sure it will look cool in my room
Sir
Is it can set single color strobe like(red strobe) in nova p300c.
If it can, how?
When would you use a panel like this as opposed to like a 300d? Usually AC but want to learn more about lighting
But, can it do welding arc or shock patterns?
What type of V Mounts are needed to power the light?
Wow got goosebumps watching that! Can you please send me one for a review Ted? It would be a dream to review an Aputure product one day!
I don't know why but you guys should sponsor the photography/videography studio we're planning to startup hahaha
Next up maybe some LED tubes, that would be awesome
