    I watched an older video from Dr. Berg in which he mentions the benefits of myoinositol on PCOS. My cycles were very irregular...I would go 4 months with no period at all. After watching the video, I began taking a supplement with a 40:1 ratio. After about 3 weeks my period started. For the following six months I had regular period. Fast forward, I now have a 16 month old toddler😊

    I was diagnosed with PCOS in USA. In entire 9-10 years not a single gynecologist or endocrinologist prescribed me inositol, I kept suffering and they kept treating me for thyroid and with birth control pills for pcos to the point that I had headache everyday due to birth control pills intolerance. I took a trip to India and there the doctor gave me inositol. My doctor, there, gave me myo-inositol which had folate too if I remember correctly for PCOS and I felt better my cycles were better. I started feeling, happy, my body, mood was good. Also when I searched I found cantaloupe is a source of inositol that's why in our culture we eat a lot of cantaloupe in summers, everyday. All these problems started when I stopped living eating the way my parents lived, eat.

    • @namrofni6236
      @namrofni6236 4 года назад +30

      That's a great point that nobody ever mentions about supplements. If you take it regularly your body will expect it and stop producing it. I was thinking the same so I'll use it irregularly only when I get cravings or maybe 5 days on and 2 days off in the week.

    • @shahafsagi7257
      @shahafsagi7257 4 года назад +20

      No. Your body needs it essentially from fruits and vegetables. If you take inositol, it will build up in your system and be recycled if needed, and will actually give your body a chance to start producing more of it.
      Once you're really deficient, that's a much bigger problem.

    • @jdeprimo5030
      @jdeprimo5030 4 года назад +5

      It probably won’t make as much, not completely stop production. Besides even if you stopped taking it, it would immediately up-regulate the production of b8 again. It’s kind of like the deal with cholesterol where the liver makes 3000 mg of it a day and the more you eat causes the amount your body produces go down; however when you eat less it immediately balances out with producing more.

    This is incredibly important to have in your diet just because your body makes these vitamins does not mean you should not try to get them in your diet or supplement with them these particular vitamins in general there's about I think it was four or five of them they've taken out of B multivitamins, back when I was losing my hair I went to a health food store and got a multivitamin the multivitamin I had had every form of B vitamin out there including the ones that the body makes the very first day I took it I had a huge level of energy not only energy but I lost fat that very day as well as my head begin to clear and my hair started regenerating by the end of the month my hairline was coming back and by the time I finish the bottle my hair had come back and it looked like nothing had changed after about a week or two I started losing my hair again for a few years I thought it was because of the energy drinks I was drinking or the fasting I did but the real issue was every time I would buy a multi B vitamin that was that particular one my hair would come back and I would just feel better, but one day when I went to go get the same vitamin the hair regeneration the energy production just went away it was like it wasn't working anymore I became really depressed after noticing it wasn't working and for years I had no idea they took those B vitamins out of it so recently when I was on tiktok I saw a video of a gentleman talking about the B vitamins they've taken out of the B vitamins category after learning this I've been hunting them down and trying them and it has changed my life, all of my inflammation of my body has dropped drastically since I started taking them all and my mental focus has gone back up and yes my hairline has started regenerating again, so don't listen to what people tell you do your own research you need vitamins including the ones that your body makes because as you get older, or if you have chromosome problems or your premature like I am your body is going to make less and less depending on your genetics so you need to make sure you get this stuff in your diet now obviously you're not going to find all of these vitamins and food because the food industry keeps stripping out everything heck they're stripping out fiber out of wheat wheat is 90% fiber so they're stripping out fiber they are perverting food to such a crazy level that no wonder so many people have irritable bowel issues I've had to buy five or six different forms of fiber and I always take fiber right before a big meal so that way when my stomach is digesting the food the fiber can coat it especially if it's oily food so I don't have acid and since I've started doing that I don't have acid problems anymore I don't have really any issues breaking food down it's this lack of energy I've had, and I'm only 32, I started feeling this way back when I was 21 or 23 one of the two and I'm telling you all right now high fiber in your diet every morning you get up before every meal have some Fiber, and make sure you get these B vitamins all of the B vitamins that your body needs including the ones they've taken off the B vitamins list also L-Carnitine and L glutamine because when you eat caffeine or B vitamins your body is going to break down L-glutamine, so you want to keep your levels of L-glutamine normal and L-Carnitine is a natural fat burner it's produced in the liver but the older you get the less of it your body produces so those two minerals on top of these B vitamins it's going to blow your mind

    My husband and I both have had success with plain inositol on those occasional nights when your mind just won't be quiet. Hubby needs 500 mg, I need less. Another factor to consider is the choline...the "energy" side of this equation. Cant take choline at nite or you may be up till dawn cleaning your garage ...so we take it separately the next AM. No scientific references here, just a long history of handling sleep issues. As in all health or supplements...check with your medical or complementary physician before jumping into the deep end of the pool.🙂

    5 benefits of inositol:
    1. It can act as a natural anti-depressant, and it may have anti-anxiety effects
    2. It’s similar to metformin and may help with PCOS
    3. It can help restore the FSH and LH ratios and may help with the menstrual cycle and fertility
    4. It can reduce the need for binge eating
    5. It can help reduce stress and mood swings
    Food sources of inositol include brewer`s yeast, liver, whole grains, cantaloupe, citrus fruits (except lemon), bananas, wheat germ, nuts, beans, raisins, cabbage, and lecithin.

    Inositol is an ingredient of many energy drinks. It increases neurotransmitters. In fact it is used to help hangovers as it competes with alcohol in the brain. They are both sugars. It makes niacin. If you drink an energy drink and get a flush it is the inositol converting to niacin. Inositol nicotinate is a drug made from this which has an amazing ability to help with seemingly unrelated problems. It should be noted that the bacteria living on cooling rods in nuclear power plants have a genetic up-regulation of inositol/niacin to counteract the cell degradation from radiation.

      Not doing ggreat, stopped taking inositol a couple days ago but still feeling the effects although less, i really struggle with concentration and sleep at odd hours (still struggling to sleep profoundly i wake up at 2 am with insomnia) overall body clock got messed up, it freaks me out because on one note I feel my body stored it and I am not as hungry as normal (or i used to feel more depleated) but on the other i can barely focus or feel like myself. quite the scary side effect to be honest. I did take omega 3 today which has choline (salmon oil) and felt normal for like 20 mins then back to an overall tired mental numbness yet I can't easily sleep. Its like being on autopilot, awake, calm but not there emotionally. I imagine this is what antidepressants feel like, but I dont think they are worth it to me.
      Anyway, i will completely cut themoff till I get tested to see what type of PCOS I have. I feel there are several people with similar effects as mine, so there really should be more talk about why this happens/ side effects and not only the positives, which again, I know they exist, but then again the side effects can also affect you pretty heavily. Your analysis seem pretty spot on as to what happens. Maybe i will try it with a small dose of choline next time and see how that goes. I really do not like any emotional numbness at all

I've been doing keto and lost 70 lbs and since Covid 19, I'm working at home with some semi ketoians, I've been snacking some and have gained back 12 lbs and need help with intermitant fasting I don't leave the house much either. So I thought maybe!

      excerpts from dr berg
      The type of inositol you may want to take is called Myo-inositol.

      If I remember right it is present in some nuts and seeds but you'd have to eat large amounts to get the health benefits
      The powder supplement is amazing, it's the most drastically noticeable difference is any supplement I've ever tried.

    Any opinions which form of inositol would be best for depression/anxiety in men? (IP6 or Myo) ? I've seen your other inositol video, which is older, touting IP6 at that time.... thanks

    Is this supplement for men also? I know dr berg mentioned that it helps with testosterone, but most of the posts here seem to be from women who have been taking this supplement. Thank you to all that reply 🙏😊

      I don't think it is a gender specific nutrient. It doesn't produce esyrogen or anything like or a tonic for the prostate or anything like that. It good for both male and female reproduction. Ive taken it, it does have a nice relaxation effect.

    What's the biggest difference between taking myo-inositol (around twice 2000 mg) and taking IP6/ inositol (1600mg/1100mg) dail? Will you still get the mentioned benefits? What benefits from this video are lost? Can they be combined daily?

      @@juliansanchez2304 The question is based on the therapeutic tx and studies around treating ADHD with a high dose of inositol not the chelated IP6. Can you elaborate on how much is needed based on the research around this topic?
