Buddy I’m really sorry to hear it’s no longer available in Oz. I recently sold my 2018 ATAS for a 2023 NC750X with DCT. Absolutely love the DCT. Tried an AT with the DCT and loved it but the AT’s are just too big and heavy to use as a daily. And of course, the new NC’s have fantastic Showa suspension which is exceptional. I’ve had mine for just two months and absolutely love it. A real gem of a bike. Huge pull from the engine. Like a VW Golf GTD! Super comfy, economical, smooth, well balanced, great chassis, great looks. What’s not to like?
Agree whole heartedly, i have same bike here in uk a 2017 model only bought it 6 months ago with less than 500 miles on clock! , did a 1500mile tour of Scotland and was excellent never missed a beat as an older biker will probably be a keeper now after 45 years riding 😂
I have the 2023 model and like it a lot. Don't have issues with the rear shock. Would like to know what you use for the rear top box and mounting plate? Thanks, great vid. Tucson, AZ.
I agree with all your pros. The only thing I really dislike about my 2018 NC750X is the chain drive. This is Honda's practical motorcycle, they should have given it a user friendly shaft or belt drive. A minor annoyance if you live in a place where it rains now and then is the short front mudguard, which does nothing to protect bike or rider. Easily fixed with an extender, but we shouldn't have to, again this is a practical motorcycle, not a bobber or sport bike.
@@olethorhermansen5696 Yes I agree, although this would increase the price. I'd happily pay extra for a drive shaft and a better swing arm however. I also own a '98 Pan European and love the fact that there's no chain.
Great review... You totally got the point! ... If I want to place my travel pack on top of pillion seat....really annoying if fuel cap is under! ...still... great bike but for me that is an important issue
I bought a second hand rear seat and cut a "D" slot right at the front so can now refuel with roll bag still strapped down - I believe there is an alloy cargo plate to replace rear seat (after market ) as well !
I can add a few more negative points about my 2022 DCT version: 1. Poor front light 2. There is no cruise control 3. Too small windscreen 4. Both front and rear brakes could have been more powerful 5. No cornering ABS/traction control 6. DCT could have had a lean angle sensor not to switch gears when a rider is making a turn 7. There is no seat heater And a few more positive things to your list: 1. Low center of gravity (because of the engine and fuel tank position) 2. Lots of aftermarket accessories 3. Reliable and long lasting 4. Approachable for short riders (especially 2021 model) 5. DCT is really convenient 6. Informative dashboard 7. Convenient seat (2021 model) and rider's position on the bike, almost upright position.
If the bike had all you’re asking it would cost 15.000 euros not 9500. Also it would cannibalise sales of both Africa Twin and NT1100. For this to happen to NC, those other bikes need even better tech, like adaptive cruise control, electronic suspension etc. But hopefully in 2024 at least basic cruise control we can have 🙏

The top box is a Shad brand, and the mounting plate came with it.

What seat is that? 😮
Airflow seat cover on the standard seat. Check out the link below if the sloping seat is a problem for you.

The windscreen and the seat are both terrible.
It's like they disigned the bike and forgot the two most important items

Try the compatible Puig windscreen and/or windscreen extension. Many seem to find it to be a major improvement.
I don't like the design and look of the factory windscreen. May seem petty but I just don't like it.
Does a good job with the wind deflector on top
