You forgot that she was also on the extremely popular Designing Women which was me 80s and she was really well-known besides for Ghostbusters for that she was on designing women from 1986-1993 I really don't see how you could miss that.
Many people don’t know this about Annie Potts, but before she even became famous as an actress, she and her then boyfriend were on a motorcycle while he was technically her fiancé and they had an accident and she nearly lost her leg. It was a lot of reconstructive surgery that she needed to go through and she didn’t lose the leg. She was lucky that way her fiancé was not so lucky and did lose his leg. You may have seen him playing the doctor in AfterMASH.
Wallace Shawn was also in "My Dinner with Andre" which is one of the best movies of the early 1980s, and he had a minor role in "Manhattan" with Diane Keaton and Woody Allen.
the zoe perry being in rosanne as jackies younger self being it was jackies actual daughter and prob helped get the role to play a younger version of herself in young sheldon irony gotta love it
Do you remember the music teacher from i guess first episode of "Young Sheldon"? She discovered that he has a talent for music? She is the same actress who played Mendy Chow in TBBT.
Doc Prior was in The Good Place. When Elanor is flashing back to the one moment she felt existential dread in her life, he's the guy who explains the 4 toothbrushes and then gives her a box of Kleenex in the hardware store. I remembered Lance Barber from TBBT and it really threw me off until I re-watched the episode and could finally place him. This cast is one of those rare things where I think every character is perfectly cast, I can't imagine any of them being played by anyone else. With the exception of Jason Alexander, even if he is only a minor character. Watching that dude, in anything, is like nails on a chalkboard. I hate it so much I won't re-watch the episodes he's in.
My earliest recollection of Wallace Shawn was in "All That Jazz" (insurance accountant) and Woody Allen's Radio Days (radio actor, The Masked Avenger).
What about Annie Potts in the first movie I seen her in. Which was Corvette Summer. Which was also Mark Hamill's first screen appearance. Annie Potts was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award in her first film role.
Annie Potts: You forgot Designing Women. Craig T. Nelson: You forgot Parenthood (2010's). Emily Osment: You forgot Young & Hungry. Wallace Shawn: "She's Out of Control." Ed Begley Jr.: You mentioned his single appearance in Roseanne, and you could have mentioned being in the Roseanne led movie "She Devil" that he was also in. You could have also mentioned his stint in the 1990's version of "Parenthood" as a small connection with Craig T. Nelson. and was also You completely forget Wendie Malick: She appeared in a TV movie with Ed Begley Jr. called "The Ed Begley Jr. Show," was in the movie Scrooged, and was one of the main cast in "Just Shoot Me," a show that you mentioned when talking about Melissa Peterman. Nice video, but you dropped the ball in a major way for not including these references.
Annie Potts played in Corvette Summer with Mark Hamill. The cop on the take for the gambling room played on Coach with Craig T Nelson and he is the voice of Patrick on Sponge Bob:)
Wallace Shawn has been around for much longer than you give him credit for and he has usually been a tiny bit character after most of those however he is the kind of character after you don't forget and not easily even if you've seen him a hundred times playing a hundred different roles you always remember him why it's not as mavely voice that makes you remember him it's the character he plays and how he plays them for example if you're talking about recent recent would be that you know two thousands more or less in Eureka when he is playing this guy who's there to inspect things and he's something like an oversight sort of dude like I said not easily forgettable and yes it's very hard not to remember him from The Princess Bride he stole the show. The character played in The Princess Bride was supposed to be the equivalent of a cameo role and yet she took the role and he ran with it much in the same way that both Billy Crystal and Carol Kane even though they were supposedly only Cameo roles again again the characters are not easily forgotten especially Carol Kane's character.
He was also great in the early 1980s as one of the Catholic school teachers in the movie Heaven Help Us, and as a blind circus head in the Hotel New Hampshire.
In addition to the epic faux pas of not listing Designing Women ( major hit show, 7 years thank you ) Mandy ( Emily Osment ) was the STAR of Young and Hungry for 4 or 5 seasons. It's not like Y&H was even that long ago
I'm shocked they didn't mention "Baby Daddy" in Melissa Peterman's (Brenda Sparks) part. She was in EVERY episode. Fun Fact about baby daddy: Lance Barber (George Sr.) and Melissa Peterman (Brenda Sparks) have worked together BEFORE Young Sheldon on Baby Daddy
You're wrong about Craig P Nelson started with the Tim Conway Comedy Hour when he appeared in seven episodes but he was in so many usually a bit Parts is true but or one-time shots on television but he was there enough that you could miss his face for example the very first Poltergeist movie and its sequel as well he was also in the movies The Killing Fields and silkwood but I'm probably one of the few people who remember it's him from the part that he played in the white shadow as the Padre Father Phil. The funniest thing about him is you never forget that face of his or his voice for that matter and you could never Typecast him as being told that guy is going to be the villain because that guy always plays doing he never played one particular side if you want to call it that of... his roles were so varied.
I swear, I knew something was fishy about Sheldon's mom's voice in The Big Bang Theory - she sounds too much like his mom from Young Sheldon. So it's actual mom and daughter playing the role. Interesting!
Wow! Perry is Metcalf's daughter? seems ironic since I thought they did a really good job of finding great actors that really look like they could be the younger versions of the TBBT cast, even down to the appearance to Leonard, Raj and Howard in one episode, with one exception: Metcalf doesn't looks at all like Perry. How could you forget Annie Potts in Designing Women, one of her best roles EVER😊
I watched her today in pretty in pink! I forgot she was even in that film lol!
Came to the comments just to make sure I wasn't the only one that remembered that!! How the heck could they leave that off???????
RIGHT!
And that show has a few seasons.
That's where I originally knew her...well, probably Corvette Summer, but I didn't put that together until I was an adult.
Young Sheldon’s voice is now deeper than grown Sheldon.
i just realized 💀
Same thing with everybody hates chris
It's unfortunate, but not much can be done about it, unless you think Iain Armitage should inhale helium before each take.
I love how some people say that writers intentionally picked someone with a deeper voice as if knew that ahead of time.
@@joshpetzoldt6344 or voice pitch it in post production
The Dad did not play a bully from Sheldon's childhood but from Leonard's past
Yes this is so true. When I realised this I could not believe it!
He was in HS, so, could qualify as childhood!
@@debbiefried3533 The ACTOR played the role of a bully.
no, he played george cooper and pretended to be his bully because he didnt want sheldon to know to know he faked his dearh

How could you forget her famous role in Designing Women? That is what made Annie Potts a star.
She's still hot too
I was screaming this
Annie Potts in Ghostbusters. Love her
she was a star before DW
Emily Osment was also the main character in Young and Hungry and she had a plot-important short recurring role in Mom
Was just going to mention Young & Hungry!! Loved that show
Yeah. She died of an overdose on Mom.
Matt Hobby was also in an episode of Mom. He played Chip the Missionary in season 2 episode 18
And she also was on an episode of Two and Half Men
I was so pissed that they scrapped the Young & Hungry movie that was supposed to serve as the true finale for the series. Emily is hot af though.
Annie Potts was also on Designing Women as Mary Jo from 1986-1993.
Dales cop friend was on Coach with him also.
I came here to say that
I watched her today in pretty in pink! I forgot she was even in that film lol!
dauber- who flunked school so many times they made him an assistant coach

U really forgot the actress Mckenna Grace who plays page she has been in a ton such as sabrina
They left out one of Melissa Peterman’s best roles. She was hysterical as Ben and Danny’s mother in the sit-com Baby Daddy.
I love that show ❤😂
I came here to say that lol
@@horrorfan7148 same here. she was the star of that show.
That’s where I first saw her too!
Right,
Annie Potts was also a major cast member in Designing Women - that is probably aside from Ghostbusters what she is most known for.
I love that show.
There's also her co-starring role with Mark Hamill in "Corvette Summer," and a trucking movie or two from the late-70's.
‘Hello ghostbusters’ I loved it wen she used to say that answering the phone lol!
Annie also Co-starred with Mark Hamel in Corvette Summer

Ghostbusters whata want.
How do you talk about Ed Begley Junior, or any actor who was involved in it for that matter, without bringing up Better Call Saul. Wild.
How did you leave out Mckenna Grace?
The series finale was very touching! I cried a lot. The ensemble cast was amazing! And, no laugh tracks.
Wallace Shawn is also in the first Incredibles movie as Parr’s boss. I think he has been in all the Pixars like John Ratzenberger. Iconic voice.
He's also the principal in "A Goofy Movie"! I agree, his voice is iconic!
I first saw him on TAXI where he played Arnie, Elaine's love interest for a few episodes. Hilarious.
He was also in Princess Bride
that guy so reminds me of my late stepdad- a retired atlas rocket engineer from general dynamics. RIP, dan.
How could you miss Annie Potts in Designing Women. Everyone bright that up!!
Not grandma Cooper, grandma Tucker!
Wallace Shawn was in My Dinner With Andre. Then he made The Princess Bride with Andre The Giant.

How did the researchers miss Craig T. Nelson in Parenthood, where he won an Emmy? Come on guys.
Another awkward omission. Although I watched Coach and Parenthood, the movie Poltergeist ALWAYS comes to my mind when I hear his name.
Yes! I came here to say this, too.
If you can miss Annie Potts for 7 years as Mary Jo in Designing Women, you can miss Craig Nelson in Parenthood
Craig T. Nelson was in the short lived show Call To Glory '84 to '85.
do you think there's a whole team of guys in there?
