Hampton Roads region down by more than 100 emergency 911 dispatchers

Across the Seven Cities, police agencies face a shortage of 911 dispatchers. This comes as Congressional lawmakers push to reclassify them as emergency responders, just like firefighters and police officers. The hope is to attract a bigger pool of applicants.
