    As a Nigerian man, i feel so flatered by your nice words, but I believe some few non-Nigerian women who dated Nigerian men might have a different story to tell. We're not perfect. However, it is pertinent to state that the culture of taking care of our woman is inherited from our parents. We believe if you must take a girl out for a date, you must be loaded financially so that the next time you ask her for a date, she'll be happy to honour you. We believe to be the head of a family, to have control over your wife even if she is rich, you've got to have your own money. An average Nigerian man hates a situation where the woman spends her money, we feel like we're less of a man. He would rather not step out of his house than going on a broke date. Though we have our own shotcomings as humans but I'm surprised that men in some other countries don't have such ideology. Thank you dear

    Lol to Nigerian men are sweet.
    I am a Kenyan, and hearing the things people say I always said "over my dead body me even dating a Nigerian man". That was before hubby(a Nigerian) seduced me, lol, even that he did in style.
    That was 11 years ago, and we`ve now been married for 9 years and every day I thank God, I now know I was looking for him from the day I was born, I just did not know it. My Nigerian hubby treats me like a princess and nothing is a problem if I need help with it.
    Now it`s not to say everything is smooth sailing, just like I`d have to work in the marriage if I was married to a Kenya, it is the same way I have to work in my marriage with my Nigerian prince.
    Now just as you said, not every man is the same regardless of nationality but I think other men could learn a thing or 2 from Nigerian men.

    Thank you for your kind words, and like other Nigerians, I appreciate your observations about Nigerian men. Firstly, I must mention that our strong morals stem from the foundations laid in our homes. Growing up, those of us who attended public schools were taught discipline through physical punishment when we misbehaved. While some societies may consider this abuse, it has molded us into better individuals. It is important to note, however, that there is a distinction between discipline and abuse. A sound upbringing significantly impacts one's future. When I traveled outside Nigeria, I was astounded to witness many men living under the control of women. Although this happens in Nigeria as well, it is considered disgraceful because we firmly believe in men providing for their partners. This mentality is deeply ingrained in us and travels with us wherever we go. For instance, in South Africa, I have witnessed men demanding that their ex-girlfriends return the shoes, bags, and even undergarments they had purchased for them, whereas a Nigerian man might forget about a car he bought for you. Many African countries, including South Africa, take to Twitter and criticize Nigerian men, labeling them as drug dealers and scam artists. However, a Kenyan woman rightly pointed out that these countries also have men who engage in illegal activities. She questioned whether Kenyan men don't engage in scams, drug dealing, or any other illegal activities, implying that it is unfair to paint Nigerians as the sole perpetrators. It seems that some offenders are considered more acceptable than others. Similarly, "some" South African men derogatorily refer to women who befriend or marry Nigerians as "Jollofina" due to Nigeria's association with Jollof rice. Nonetheless, it is important to recognize that there are violent and immoral individuals in every country, including Nigeria. Not all Nigerians are drug dealers, scammers, or fraudsters. Thank you for understanding.

    • @lindaval2367
      @lindaval2367  10 месяцев назад +1

      You are very correct my dear as i have witnessed and experienced some of these things myself while i visited Nigeria last year. From my own observations most Nigerians are very giving and always look out for one another. It is so sad that people from other countries always try to make Nigerians escapegoat when it comes to drugs and fraudulent activities involving them but as the saying always goes, "if nobody is talking about you then you are a nobody". You guys should keep up the good work and ignore the haters.

The thing is that we learn from our fathers and brothers, our fathers always sacrifice for their family and that behavior stems down to any relationship we get ourselves... we always want everyone around us to be ok. Also, we have the idea that our women are a reflection of us. If your woman look bad or ugly outside, we belive that people will say that you're ugly, bad and broke too... so we do all we can to make the woman look and feel fabulous because when they go out, all the praises comes back to us. You are very correct my sister, we are very meticulous taking care of our lady/wife not only to be responsible for there upkeep alone but to see them thrive in whatever they plan or willing to do. After my wife and I had our first child. She told me she doesn’t want to work now, I said why…she told me she want to raise this one and others that are coming to be like me that I am a super man those words caught me . Now we had four children and I keep working hard but in my mind I always sees her as the one doing the major work why? Our children are gem trust me. We celebrate our 13 years anniversary January 2023 now she plan to study interior decor/event planning. she took care of the children for 13 years without working just because she found me adorable and wants them to be like and even more than me may almighty Allah bless her for me and for us to reap the fruits of our labour Amin 🙏🏾

    To be sincere with you my sister, as a Nigerian man, we are brought up by our parents to fully acknowledge that women are to be treated nicely, they are to be looked after and they are to come first. These women are vulnerable and they need someone to stand up for them in the society at large and only men can fit into such shoes. It is in our culture that our women are respected by us and all around us even to our families where we are raised. If you are talking about ego, we got it. I'm one person with a very high ego. We believe it is our responsibility to care for our women and not the other way around. We give care to earn respect from our women.
    Thank you for such a very nice review about us. Its a relief to see you speak so highly of us. Much love for you dear❤❤.

    As a Nigerian man also Igbo man all you said is true 😂. We learn from our parents and we love feminine women. We don’t know how to say no to a sweet organic feminine women but once you’re disrespectful we will show you how disrespectful we are. I’ve dated a lot of Cameroon women it seems like me and them really connect and I eat a lot of Cameroon local foods. I’ve mate alot of African ladies they all like Nigerian men and marry them most time make kids for them to have the bloodline in their family
